Heartbreaking how she curls up and shuts down after the rooster crowed.
Wild animals should never be developing PTSD.
The rooster calmed her and she went to sleep. She felt like it was ok and fell asleep, ya nub.

Why haven't the Ukraine government used some of the billions of dollars to get the animals to safety?Does IFAW have the authority to remove these and take them from the owners of the zoos there? What are the plans? What agreements are in place to take the animals and move them? Too many people here just assume this money is going to be used and I ask you all to question it. As far as I see, IFAW has been active in rescuing and relocating wildlife in the wild. The last thing they did was back in 2019. I haven't seen ANYTHING where they have removed animals from a zoo. Where will the zoo animals go? To one of your plantations? Why don't you actually provide some information IFAW?

I feel so very sorry for this magnificent Wild Beautiful Animal. She belongs into the Wild, like Mother Nature meant it to be and needs Her there. Thank you people of IFAW for protecting and taking good care for all the Animals. We must bring Mother Nature back to Her origin state and not keep Wild Animals in Captivity. Making War is how people get along with each other. The Circle of Life is about a totally different sort of Life and keeps our Planet safe. Luckily not all people are headed for Greed and Power and Selfishness. Thank you so much for all your help for the Animals!

She has probably spent her entire life in captivity so not able to be released back into the wild. She needs to be evacuated to a ZOO in the West that houses Big Cats.
She was in a rescue center. She was not in captivity. But I appreciate the sentiment. No animals are safe, captive or otherwise, while this war is going on, though.

this breaks my heart. Humans did this to her without it even being intentional. We get so caught up in our own stupid bullshit that we forget about how our action effect everything else around us. Thats how bad we are. Humans are Earth's version of Cancer. Also, I've never seen a big cat hiss before. I'm 41 and have been watching Discovery, National Geographic, Animal planet all my life, have never once seen a big cat hiss. IIt's heartbreaking to see such a beautiful, strong, powerful creature in such a condition. I have to wonder though if maybe her hearing was damaged and she may be in pain and not nessisarily shell shocked. Has she been evaluated by a big cat vet? I don't know about big cats but there are anti-anxiety meds for housecats. But she seems in physical pain to me. Why is she locked up in a cement room with no comforts whatsoever. She might actually feel safer out in the open since you know thats where lions live. Anyone locked in a room with no way to get out and subjected to loud noises for an extended period of time is going to get some wires crossed.
The animals were locked inside during the bombing because it´s safer to be outdoors when bombs are falling around.
Also, it´s hard to say if she is still locked inside in this video, or if she can go outside but doesn´t want to.
No amount of love and care can ever make up for this....
(Not to mention that wildlife belongs in the wild...)
This is SO heartbreaking… these poor animals are suffering at the hands of humans who are unfortunately trying to keep their country safe from an aggressor, and the poor animals are the collateral damage along with many humans as well.
WHEN will we, as humans, learn to live in peace with one another despite our differences and STOP these horrific wars?

@@sonneversets3530- IFAW really needs to be specific and transparent about what such a rescue operation will cost, and the whole reality of it, so donors can aim for -- and hit -- a doable goal. These "fundraisers," advertising rescue and care for specific animals sometimes (often) seem like a plea to support the entire org. and their work, and less so, specific animals. Showing a target amount, and letting donors see how far or close the goal is could be way more effective.

@@sonneversets3530 I did not say it would be easy or low cost. Many other lions, and other animals have been rescued. Whomever on rescue mission could ask for donations. Everything is possible if you put mind to it.
