In your opinion would you say this is worth getting if i already have W60 v2. I absolutely love my W60 and think they are the best IEMs/earphones i ever heard. I also have HD660s, Sony xm3, Airpods Pro and few different chi fi headphones that i use when gaming , watching movies, and when out and about but when i want to sit down and actively listen to music i have not found anything that comes even close to the soft amazing sound that comes out of my W60.
@@HiFiInsider i'm a mailman and listen to music 8-10 hours daily. when i use the w80, i loved it. Then purchased UM fabled sound, had been using it for past 2 weeks. Today I use w80 and it's shocking how bad the w80 is compared to the UM fabled sound. UM fabled sound has better everything...sound stage, bass, vocal. The w80 just sounds flat compared to the UM fabled sound. The only thing westone trump UM is the super comfortable soft foam tips. The UM tips could be uncomfortable during prolong period of usage.
Absolute ridiculous price for a pair of headphones. Granted this is in dollars but even for British pounds it's a total rip off!!! I have a set of Sony headphones I actually got free with my Sony phone that are worth a fraction of these and the sound is amazing!! The panning comes through, the whole lot... And $300 for a damn cable?? Get yersel Tae f**k!!! Ridiculous!!!!
How, where did you convert the AOL cable to balanced?
I don’t see where you actually reviewed these? Did you return them? Are they worthy?
@Hi-Fi Insider is the w80 V3 made in USA? Does it say something on the box?
W80 is made in the Philippines.

Is the sound the same as the original W80? Don't need a video but would like your opinion. Thanks.
Plz unbox the westone es80 iem
Great video, no promised review video yet though?
a video about IEMs is coming soon. Been busy with work. Thanks for being patient.
@@HiFiInsider looking forward to that one.
Where inside the package do we see this is a version 3 headphone?
4 years ago, there was another that cost $1500. Now, updated is $999?
yeah Westone got bought by Lucid which also owns Etymotic. They reduced the prices on the entire product line.
Hi Mike,
have you heard the IE 900 ?
I still love my IE 800 with The Sony wm1z dap.
i want to try IE900 but it’s been on backorder since release.
@@HiFiInsider that's true .
Same with Sony Signature products.
I tried to get a Dmp z1 .
I gave Up , after 1.5 years .....
I was not a fan of the original W80 at all. It had almost no upper midrange and eargain.
Where is it made in? Might get the v3
made in the Philippines.
Wow, so it’s a no for me then. Need the product made in USA/ France/ Italy/ Canada, especially it’s an expensive product.
