    I am not a doctor or nutritionist! Please DO RESEARCH before doing anything. My years of struggling with being overweight had me trying everything. This was the ONLY thing that worked ❤ There’s a level of honesty I share today being a person who has dealt with weight issues and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been xoxo

    I have never heard someone speak about “reverse body, dysmorphia“ before. This is exactly how I feel. I will feel beautiful until I catch myself in a mirror somewhere, or I see a picture of myself. Or especially if somebody referred to me as chubby. It’s not as bad now that I am in the 130s. But when I was in the 160s, I felt just as attractive. It never affected men’s interest in me. It’s crazy to hear somebody else talk about it that way.

    • @ybanzen
      @ybanzen 7 месяцев назад

      this is just regular body dysmorphia; there is no such thing as "reverse body dysmorphia". body dysmorphia means you are not perceiving your body as it is; whether you think you are bigger or smaller than you actually are. its a disorder of the brain. the brain is not interpreting appropriately what the eyes are seeing.

      Hormone changes in women affect weight gain in women no matter how they work out. Check with your doctor about your hormones and check your cortisol levels. If your cortisol is high you shouldn’t be doing high impact exercises, it puts stress on your body and raises your cortisol levels which helps with weight gain.

    • @sasharie7483
      @sasharie7483 6 месяцев назад +5

However, I did need to go on my own body journey because I was so bloated 24/7, dealing with stomach ulcers & gaining a lot of weight in my tummy without realizing it. I started fasting from 9pm-9am, drinking my greens every morning, changing my eating habits, cooking at home 5-6 days out of the week & working out consistently this year. Definitely do the light weight lifting. My sister did OMAD and lost so much weight but she started looking sick. It’s not hating at all, she look great but you can tell she was lacking balance in her nutrition and muscle. I tried it too and got slimmer but since I’m the one in the family more into wellness and health, I knew this wasn’t sustainable without lifting weights. Start slowly. Eat more protein to aide with it too. If anything talk to a nutritionist.

      As long as you’re eating sufficient calories to sustain you and your workouts, I think it’s fine to do one meal a day! It does help with a calorie deficit, I think it’s just an issue when you barely eat in that meal. You gotta eat a BIG meal-

However I now fast 20hrs and eat within a 4hr window; typically 3pm-7pm. If I have a “bad eating” day I definitely turn to a fast of any protocol; 24-48hr fast, fruit fast, raw foods fast, water fast, etc. Keep it up Hailey. You look amazing 😍

    Hailey I'm 57 years old and I love watching your videos. I watch a lot of stoic philosophy videos and YT recommended me you. Thank you, YT. I usually never comment but this time I will. You are the me I wish I was in my twenties and thirties. If I were you back then, I would have CHANGED THE GAME and the entire trajectory of my life. At almost 60, and an only child, I missed some social interactions which causes me to be socially awkward Watching your vulnerability and honesty is refreshing and helps me navigate through life, even at this age. Life is not over until it's over. Even reading your tribes comments is refreshing. The words you speak are universal for all people of all ages and backgrounds. The things you speak about have truth and we have all experienced your topics once or twice. The Gen X generation (mine) were never taught self-love, self-confidence, or even elegance. Most of the time we'd just beat you up, or cuss you out when emotional, because we were never coddled or learned to master our emotions. We had to stay outside or inside, so sometimes we stayed outside and just learned to survive. lol. I just wanted to say thank you for being consistent and thank you for your topics on all self-care subjects. We older women are still struggling with this aspect of life. When we were growing up we had 7 babies on our hips, rooms to clean, and a man to take care of, loving self was a here-and-then luxury. Much love to you. And just know your audience goes way higher than the 30's.

    Thank you for the transparency Girl, I've struggled with intermittent fasting but understanding change is uncomfortable and staying consistent will always be the key to seeing results.

    Amen!! Thank you for the inspiration Hailey! My highest weight a few weeks ago was 185. I so want to get back to 138, but I would be excited to be at 155 now. Beyond the numbers though, I just want to sit comfortably in a chair without my stomach pressing over my jeans. Oh, it’s so uncomfortable! Thank you for sharing your progress and self-care!! And, Happy New Year! 🎆

      Honestly I think this the real reason I stopped wearing jeans! They feel so uncomfortably even with all stretch they are made with now.

    I recently started intermittent fasting and it’s been a game changer!! I still eat most of the food I normally want (even sweets) just in smaller amounts, but honestly the fasting makes my cravings a lot better too. I also have some belly issues and I have noticed that improving as well. I’m really trying to get back on my goals during these holiday times to come out bright and refreshed for the new year. Love you Hailey ❤️

    Girl, this video was recommended and it’s heaven-sent! I’m starting this diet this week. Fasting is helpful but it wasn’t what overall helped you. Changing the diet and cutting out certain foods and alcohol helped tremendously.

    I have never related to 6:59 this more than anything in my life. I get compliments and told I’m fine all the time and I know I’m beautiful but I can also tell when my health is declining and my energy and libido are off and my hormones and weight fluctuate wayyy to much too quickly and it’s uncomfortable and confusing. Thank you for this video! I needed to hear I’m not crazy lol.

    Wow. I loved this episode and loved what you said about the reverse dysmorphia thing, I’ve never thought about it that way. I’m very petite, 5’1, and my happy weight, the weight I perform and feel best at, is 110lb +/- 2-3lb. When I was a dancer i was about 105, but today?? I’m about 125lb. People constantly tell me I look great, etc, but the reality is, I don’t FEEL good. I’ve decided I’m done accepting the current weight I’m at - which is TOO MUCH for me regardless of other peoples opinions!! - and have invested in a consistent reformer Pilates practice, cleaned up my diet, and committed to getting back to feeling good at the right weight FOR ME. I started down this path mid November and I’ve actually now also decided to completely cut out alcohol even after this short period of Keto/intermittent fasting … it’s snowballing into a serious get-focused, get-it-together period, even despite the holidays!! Intermittent fasting alone taught me I CAN go without and it won’t kill me lol. Sometimes that’s enough to give your brain the opportunity to just relax about it haha.
    Ps- as an RN I’m glad you didn’t jump right on ozempic, it has some really scary potential side effects. Glad your mom stepped in and stepped up for you. Great advice she gave there, also she’s gorgeous! I like to break my fast with home made chicken broth ❤

    Wooooo you really did something when you said “external validation stopped me from wanting to to better myself” that’s literally what I’m dealing with right now. I’m confident but I know God has a set body weight for me and I know I’m not at it. My body is drained and beaten down from my weight gain.

    This seems like such good advice. I definitely think the girls are waking up to how inflammatory our foods are. I didn’t personally have a weight issue, but I stopped eating processed oils almost 2 years ago. That alone has changed my face shape, skin, and over feeling of health. I used to roll my eyes at people who say that our modern health problems are caused by the food we eat, but it really is true.
