I was nostalgic watching Kate Martin sprinting in the fast break while looking back for the ball, defending her butt off, hitting her spots like a freaking professional. It's why Iowa was so great. She really looked super playing with the Aces today.

College practices all year long together. "Pros" only practice for a month before the 3 month long season. It's why they're so sloppy and boring. It's a part time job so they treat it like a part time job. Before it was an industry the men used to work jobs on the side to make enough to love, but they still left it all on the floor on game day. Chicks don't. They want all the "flowers" while doing a fraction of the work to deliver an inferior product.
As a black man who never watched a single game of the wnba, I’m now a huge CC fan and am going to watch every one of her games…. the racism in this country is pure evil and the hate for CC is evil, but she’s got me watching her like a hawk. @@chawmcgraw4309 Indiana will make it work with Clark, they don’t have any other option. Business sense will dictate. Clark is The Fever’s future. Anybody on the team who doesn’t get with that will be looking for employment elsewhere. The Fever Organization knows the consequences. They will give it some time and if need be, rebuild around Clark. Caitlin Clark isn’t going anywhere. No one else on that team or coaching staff is more important to that franchise than Clark. No matter how many haters try to trash her. Indiana knows what they have.
To Caitlin’s credit she still passes to the open teammate. She’s a team player and she will be a leader.
Even though she's a shooter, she still looks to pass first, so her teammates should learn how to get to a free position fast and expect the ball. Lots of Caitlin's TOs were good if not perfect passes that should have been assists but became TOs because they weren't expecting the ball or can't catch.

I watched the game today, and CC had her best performance this season, but her teammates need to step up and help her out.
I've literally only watched The W since Caitlin has started playing and I couldn't believe how many missed layups there were from her team. She knows the game and sees things developing and that's what makes her a great point guard and leader. Even the announcers were surprised they gave her the turnovers when they clearly weren't on her.

This is what women working with women is like. Not logical, emotional. I promise you that most QBs don't particularly love their WRs but they just throw to whoever is open. Partially because its the logical thing to do, and partially because the coach will ream their ass in the film room. With a woman coach who feels the same way toward CC, it will not be brought up as they have a silent alliance and jealousy issue.

I think some of these girls are not prepared for the type of passing that she does. Caitlin Clark Is a different brand of basketball than what these girls are used to.
Just one example - these girls have never even played in front of a noisy sold out crowd like they did today. Caitlin and her Iowa teammates did it for at least an entire 2 seasons.

CCs team in IA weren't the most skilled at basketball, and were undersized, but were DAWGS and athletes. Little Gabbie Marshall setting picks, getting open for CC to get out of trouble, lock down D. Martin same thing with more scoring, relentless effort. Stueltke the "Big" sprinting to the hoop and making cuts to get open, CATCHING the ball, SHOOTING the ball, and MAKING the basket. Affolter had a huge motor too.

They have a lot of shooters in NY Liberty,so averaging 35 pts would take away from other good Players on that Team and 35 ppg and 15 is a little high

last yr when the salary debate was at peak,I did a really hard look at the attendance of all the WNBA teams. There were many teams that had game after game of 1,000-3000 fans. Not just a few here n there that was the dominant range. Only the 2 big Market teams did a bit better w highs in the 7k range. (NY,L.A). If these women dont understand what shes doing for the league,they have zero clue.Chartered flights,17-18k in the seats,jersey sales have jumped a bunch,ect. Liberty have played the Fever twice w 17k and 18k fans,liberty plays the mystics,they get 4,000. 2 time defending champs open w 7,000 LESS than the fever bring on the road,lol. CC is making a huge difference.

Sides should still be fired, needed defence but never put Celeste Taylor or Lexie Hull in , Kristy Wallace was no help 1 for 5 , Aliyah Boston looked terrible like she has no confidence left in her game she looks slow and gassed. , Erica Wheeler needs to be traded. Fever players still can't seem to catch a pass from a Caitlin or make simple layups. The fact that this team is so out of shape and bad at fundamentals lets us know they haven't really been coached.
Caitlin needs to control/orchestrate the offence in every game . She’s a complete offensive force, scorer and playmaker. Unfortunately this team is going to continue to struggle the fever aren't going anywhere until the starting lineup has some changes including the coaching spot.

That game was embarrassing. Number 0 was a mess. Couldn't catch the pass, couldn't shoot, couldn't do anything to help. Clark was doing everything she could. The other team was also flopping like Lebron. They should be embarrassed too. Clark spread the ball around, but she probably shouldn't have. No one else could shoot!! It was ridiculous!!

You are right. They would not pass to Clark on purpose. This type of pettiness happened to Diana Tourise at Don Light high when she was a freshman on the varsity team .It changed the next year when those seniors graduated.Most of these fever players won't be here next year.They can't shoot a lay up or catch a crisp pass with those weak hands of theirs. The reason the Libery shot so many threes was because nobody was guarding them . Some was needs to teach the fever to not double so much but play straight up man to man defense and get better at man to man.

Caitlin needs to stop passing the ball down the court. Her teammates cannot catch the ball. Caitlin did not shoot the ball most of the 3rd quarter. Rhodes when Erica Wheeler is the point guard she will not pass it to CC. Last game they played keep away. Erica Wheeler needs to be cut. Celeste Taylor player on the end of the bench is there best defender. She is also a spot up 3 shooter. She can also run the court and catch the ball. She played at OSU 2024. She has not played 1 second so far.

Definitely looks like some bad coaching and some bad attitudes with some of the players. The owner needs to sit the coaches down and say “Clark is our future help her and make sure you surround her with people that want to help or I’ll replace all of you!”

About your 2nd Turnover example....if that was Hannah Stuelke or Monika Czinano, it will be another Stockton-to-Malone pass! That turnover should be have been an assist.
Her teammates were missing bunnies left and right. They probably lost 14 points in missed layups. But!!!, they ran some real plays on offensive and got into some offensive sets today! They got a few offensive rebounds today! Their transition game is not great yet... so many missed layups and missed passes from CC that ended up on her scorecard as turnovers. Still this is promising improvement on offense.
Thats what happen if the coach let CC at the point she opens up the floor create ipen looks on her team mates they just need to improve catching her passes.. Bench Wheeler.. The coach is learning

You're not wrong about them 'icing out' Caitlin on occasions. She'll be open and they either ignore her or see she's open and don't pass anyway. Also, this turnover thing is getting irritating. Stats nerds just love pointing out the amount, but they don't take into account the dropped or missed passes. Caitlin can fire like an NFL quarterback at times. They were used to that at Iowa. Indiana will just have to learn more swivel on their heads. Keep thinking ... I'm down-court, it might be coming ... BOOM. I'm going to be sending a case of stickum to Indiana. Before each game, they can dip arms in a bucket of it. :)
