Your channel has the most positive comment section. You and Emily Noel are two channels that I always come to and relax and stay in the positive. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel!
as soon as this video started playing I thought, "she is so dang beautiful" also, can we get a curly hair tutorial? your hair had been looking great lately. all your fav products and everything. pleaaaseee
Love these videos! Last summer I was a counselor at Camp Tecumseh and had a camper in french braiding clinic talk about how her teacher was a RUclipsr, immediately knew who she was talking about!
Emily Blossoms agree! I try to wear it at least 5-6 times before giving a review on it with makeup and use skin care daily for a month. It is hard to tell with just 1-2 uses.
The fact that you don’t recommend the expensive Lancôme blush makes me trust your “higher end” recommendations more. I feel some youtubers are out of touch with what regular consumers can afford, but you always remember the drug store exists and that your don’t need to spend $30 on a blush.
When you were talking about the Sephora lipstick & that you wanted to try more shades but you’re not going to because you don’t need more. I was like AMEN!!!
I agree the Lancôme Foundation is great if you want full coverage. I’m an oily skin type, and I love a full coverage look so this one is perfect! It doesn’t look super heavy on the skin, and it lasts all day!!! The L’Oréal concealer is also amazing!!! It has became a staple in my beauty routine!
I just bought that dew mist and I am surprised at how much I am enjoying it.... I have pretty oily skin. So for all you oily gals... give it a try! That Josie foundation was awful for me! I got a sample and very glad I didn’t buy it... bc I’m oily lol
This type of video has a lot of value in that you give feedback after trying the products for a period of time, rather than a quick yea or nay with first impressions. You did a fantastic job Jessie!
I really appreciate the way you put in the time to thoroughly review these products and that you give feedback on value for money. Nothing helps me make better purchasing decisions than knowing where low cost products perform as well as higher end.
It’s funny you bring up the Cover FX concealer. I’ve had it for a while and never use it. Today I didn’t feel like putting on foundation so I just used it under my eyes to cover my dark circles and it spread beautifully.
I'm so glad you're doing this type of video and that you're taking a good amount of time to gather your thoughts on products. I'm so tired of first impression being the only type of reviews people do, they aren't helpful, just good entertainment. I appreciate that you take this seriously, it is just makeup, but I am glad there is a channel out there where I know I'll find quality content.
Hey, Jessica, if you’re looking to make your foundations less yellow I suggest mixing the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb in the shade Bubbly with your foundations. I tried that when doing foundation on a pink toned friend (I’m fair + yellow toned) and it really does work. Doesn’t alter the formula of the foundation much, if at all. Seriously, it’s amazing!!
Love the red on you ! I'm the same way with products sometimes I love it at first then I start to hate it or vice versa ! Its so weird ! I think I need time with each product b4 I can say its a definite good one or not !
The lighting on this video is perfect! You aren't blown out and I can see how the products work and sit, true to color on your gorgeous face. I love your videos, your honesty, and your organization
I agree on Smashbox Cali Contour. I bought it bc several of my fave youtubers highly recommended. My patchy issue is with the contour. The bronzer us better for me, but I have to be careful. If I'm in a hurry, I grab my butter bronze bc that is foolproof for me. I will say, I use it a lot for a great neutral eye look that lasts ALL day. Bronzer (sometimes blush instead or a mixture of the two) in crease. Occasionally a little contour at the very corner to deepen it a little. Darker highlight on lid. Lighter highlight in the center of lid. I'm amazed at the staying power.
Just watched Tyler's channel about your Disney trip. I can tell what great parents you are by the fact that Gigi always has a disposable table mat so her food isn't on a germ ridden table. Love Gigi
The only thing in this video that I have is the cali contour palette. I love it for travel because you've got tons of steps-brinzer, contour, under eye powder, highlight, blush and if I'm going on a low maintenance vacation or overnight I can use it for eyeshadow too with the more glowy bronze shade or highlight shade with the bronzer shades in the crease
I just wanted to say how much I love your videos! You are thorough, honest, and even going so far as to put the price in the corner is just awesome and I really appreciate it! You work hard and it really shows! It stands out from all of the other youtubers. And I love this idea of video. I can’t tell you how many times I hear “I’ll let you know how I like this product as I use it more” and never hear about it again. All. The. Time. And I totally get it! But it’s nice to see a recap video! Thank you!!
Great video!! Something I noticed about the NARS sheer glow; priming and application with this foundation are key in my humble opinion. I noticed that I have to be super moisturized (pretty dewy with primers) for it to look good. I also used to apply it with my fingers and it wouldn’t wear well. It also didn’t look so great when I tried using a brush. However, when I started using a beauty blender with it, in conjunction with a very moisturized base, it’s beyond gorgeous.
Love the anti first impressions. Kinda hate the idea of first impression videos because we never hear updates on the products, so this is perfect!! 👌 great job
The Clarins foundation has intrigued me for awhile. Based on your description it sounds like I would love it. Thank you! You describe the products so well, instead of just giving a biased opinion.
Jess!! I have video idea: 'Best neutral foundations' (you can do some for dry and some for oily skin types!)! I have a similar skin tone to you but I have rosacea too so I get tricked into going for cool toned foundation when really I'm neutral!
The Cali Contour kit is my faaaaaavourite...I just have to lay down a oil absorbing powder on my cheeks first pretty well, then blend on top..and voila...perfect blending
Your makeup looks absolutely stunning today, Jessica. Natural, juicy and glowy. The lip colour is a match-made-in-heaven for your complexion. Everyday makeup perfection. Bravo!
Bought the melting lip click in caramel based on your recommendation in a pervious video, and I absolutely love it as well! It is such a beautiful natural colour and look, so it's a perfect everyday product! Loved the video as always
I agree about Tent Idole I bought it recently and first wore it this past Easter Sunday. I was so amazed how good my skin looked after I got back from church. An almost perfect shade match for me that I got which was 110 Ivoire C. It's definitely going to be my special occasion foundation (church, weddings, dates or when I need a good finish for a long day!)
Love the review! Red is definitely your color, looks so pretty with your dark hair.....please add one more thing , is their fragrance in the products? Foundations, primers, finishing sprays, etc....that would be so helpful!
Can you do a video of products you’ve overlooked or just haven’t tried yet for each brand? e.l.f. recently came out with a few things I haven’t heard your thoughts on! Their wow brow gel, ultra precise brow pencil, flawless concealer (hydrating formula), and there’s a cream blush bronzer duo that I haven’t heard many people try!
Kerry Loves Beauty I have liked some of the things I tried from Elf. I have taken a screen shot of this and think I will add those products to my list to try and do a video on.
I tried that Josie Maran foundation way back when it first came out, and I hated it so much I ended up returning it. My skin has changed and become much drier since becoming pregnant, and I gave it another chance (I kept a sample that I initially had). Well - now I love it SO much! It's crazy how it all change just based on my skin type! I will be trying out that Sephora Melting Lip Clicks you mentioned, it's beautiful!
Jessica I freaking love your videos. You’re killing it lately. I come here because I trust your opinion, you’re so relatable, genuine and your videos are so original and unique. I love how much lifestyle you’ve incorporated recently. I will watch your videos over anyone else’s on my feed. Thank you for staying true ❤️
I don't have any problem with the Cali Contour going patchy on me but I usually use Balance and brighten powder after my dewy foundation to prevent that, or I will hit the areas I want to use the contour and bronzer on with the light powder in the palette first and then use the Elf powder brush (the small flat top black one) there is something about that brush that prevents your powder products from going patchy. It's my favorite brush for darker powders and I have high end brushes. You should be working the powder in the brush on the back of your hand though to get a proper application. I have to do this even with blushes because they are usually to pigmented for my very fair skin and it works very well. Give it a go and let us know how it works for you.
Some tips!! Lancôme you are probably shade 110C! NARS sheer glow- do you apply with your fingers? Nars complexion products were created to use with your fingers. I own every foundation by them and if I use a sponge to apply, it looks crazy. Use your fingers and then tap a sponge on top!!
I know you’ve been struggling with the lighting (never has bothered me) and I’ve been watching since you were on your parents house bedroom floor but THIS lighting is the best I’ve seen for you. You also just look gorgeous !!! Had to comment although I never do lol. Keep it up! Your content is always improving !
Jessica! I hope you see this!!! ❤️ For the Lancôme foundation try shade 210. I’m near your skin tone and I use that shade. It actually has a slight gray-ish undertone (I know you sometimes like that) and is lighter than you would think.
I'm really excited to try the L'Oreal foundation and dew mist. I've been tossing foundations that I just never reach for and I've been loving your fresh, dewy look lately. Maybe even the Sephora lip plumper. It's a beautiful color
I love the idea of this video because I always always always wonder if people’s first impressions stay the same or change over time. I would like to see more of these! Love your videos ❤️
Hey Jessica, the way that I tried the Josie Maran finishing balm seemed to work for me, so it might for you. I took a damp sponge and I gently dabbed the balm into the desired areas on the face after applying my foundation and concealer. It seemed to help everything melt into the skin better and gave more of a glow than using it as a primer. I know you can also apply it the same way even after powder and it won't get cakey. Hopefully it helps.
I love both the Lancome foundation and the nars radiant when they are mixed. I actually use the Lancome as mixer with a lot of my foundations...I feel like it helps the wear time a lot. My favorite combo is the Lancome mixed with the Smashbox studio skin. It will take me from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm with no touch ups. It's perfect for summer. I also picked up the blush stick (from you're Disney packing video) and I really like it. It's taking me a bit to get the hang of it.
Thanks for doing these product round-ups. It’s nice to hear how you feel about them after several uses. Always great content! Lighting and clarity in this video is really nice!
I was in ulta and decided to try to Clarins primer per your recommendation....and I looked like a corpse. I caught a glimpse of myself and was dying 😂The purple ended up very grey on my skin. It looked so good on you though!
I got the Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation in a QVC set. I have combination skin. I didn’t think it would work for me. I love it, so I don’t think it’s just for dry skin. If you want to try a healthy foundation, try it. It’s worth buying it along with the oil in QVC.
Jessica, Thankyou for always being you!! You are so goofy in almost every video and it’s endearing to watch! I love it and always have a smile on my face watching your videos! You and Tyler are the only two youtubers I would really be excited and pumped to hang out with! Please don’t ever change!! Xx
I tried the Milani KIF in Soft Rose which I think is a dupe for Buxom White Russian. When friends and family sale rolled around I bought four more! Great product. Hope they expand the color selection even more.
I totally agree with you on the Nars foundation. This was my first high end purchases ever so I always come back to it to see if maybe will start performing better on me. With this foundation the marketing is so wrong it not sheer and it is not so glowy. Yes it does end up looking nice, but I compared to the new Loreal one and the Nars foundation emphasized dry patches on my skin I wasn’t aware I had, whereas Loreal smoothed everything. I have oily skin and I don’t know why Nar sheer glow is the holy grail to many dry skinned people.
You were talking about having so many creative video ideas and I thought one that would be fun would be if you did your makeup outside with natural lighting and then come inside in front of your filming lights to see how it compares to your day to day makeup.
I've almost decluttered the josie maran foundation at least a dozen times, but I'm so glad I didn't. I've figured out it's best for me as a mixer and it fixes any foundation that's too matte or emphasizes texture on my dry skin
That Sephora twist up lippie is on my list now!! I'm always on the hunt for a good natural shade. I got the Fenty gloss in Fussy that you suggested awhile back and I LOVE it!
The lighting and settings in this video is perfect 😍 one of your best for sure! I can see everything great 👍🏼 btw have you tried the new milani concealer? If so, how would you compare the L’Oréal infallible one you talked about with that milani one?
Love love love you and this monthly video idea. I appreciate thorough, tested reviews. I sincerely appreciate all your hard work you put into this channel. That’s why I watch every single video, you’re one of my faves ❤️
hi jessica! about the nars foundation i wonder if the reason the pump isnt included is to make it easier to recycle as a glass (i think i dont own it) bottle. pumps aren’t easily recycled and often have to be sent to people who specifically are willing to put in the extra work to recycle them. i hope this helps you in your opinion on the pump issue!
I like the Loreal foundation that you mentioned for its staying power, it wears very well for over 10hr on my combination skin. The concealer is ok too, not my favorite, but it's fine, I will use it up. Thank you for this video and have a wonderful day!
I cannot stress enough how much I adore you and your creative content! You are just so awesome don't ever change! P.S. PLEASE do a curly hair routine!!!!!! We can't take it any longer!!!!
My very first high end foundation that i bought was the Josie Maran foundation lol and i had no idea what i was doing and im oily hunny! So i only wear it when i go out with my husband for only a couple hours. Its definitely not the fourth i wear to work!
I loved the Revlon pallet for the shimmers. They melted like butter and blended for me. I did not buy the neutrals so idk. It's definitely not needed. But that green called my attention!
Jess, the concealer from that same Josie maran line is really great too! Same cute packaging. I’ve heard literally no one talk about it but it’s soooo good. I’m just waiting for the gurus to discover it.
Jess, you need to try the buxom primer infused blush in shade seychelles!!! It so natural looking and it gives an unexplainable glowy look! I agree that you can find an amazing blush at the drugstore but I’m so glad I decided to try it out l!
The maybelline mauve for me looks great on me and I love the formula. You might like ruby for me as it gives a different look when inside and outside. You should definitely try that one as it is my favorite! I also love the formula!
The brows look so even and so nicely done today!! I've commented on your brows in a few videos lately soo that means you've changed the way you do your brows? whatever it is i love it!
*Video request!* Can you please do a roundup of best tinted moisturizers/bb/cc cream products?! With summer approaching, I don’t like to wear much on my face but do want a bit of coverage and spf!
Your channel has the most positive comment section. You and Emily Noel are two channels that I always come to and relax and stay in the positive. Thank you for all the work you put into your channel!
Andria Pizzi you should check out Arna Ålayne’s channel. She’s another positive RUclipsr.
Andria Pizzi I Hope one day I can be added to your list. 😊
I totally agree. I also love Kaily Baute. She’s also very genuine and laid back.
as soon as this video started playing I thought, "she is so dang beautiful"
also, can we get a curly hair tutorial? your hair had been looking great lately. all your fav products and everything. pleaaaseee
Seconding a hair care video (products used, styling techniques, etc)!
Yes! Hair tutorial
The lighting in this is perfection! Thank you for all your hard work, it doesn’t go unnoticed🥰
Shae de Groot just commented this then saw this comment 😅
Shae de Groot this was my same initial thought as soon as it started. So pretty!
Agree!!!
Was just about to comment the same...lighting is perfect!
Your videos have been ON POINT lately! I've always loved your videos, but I'm really loving these new video ideas!
Love these videos! Last summer I was a counselor at Camp Tecumseh and had a camper in french braiding clinic talk about how her teacher was a RUclipsr, immediately knew who she was talking about!
Omg!!! I miss all of my students 😩😩
What is french braiding clinic?
Love when people test it more than once before recommending it. When other youtubers are like “yep this is good” I’m like ....k but how did it Wear 😂
Hey there I feel the exact same way ! I like to use things at least a couple times b4 saying if its good or not !
Can I hear an amen?! Its always better to know what is good over time.
Don't get me wrong, I love first impressions videos but videos like these really are the most helpful!
Emily Blossoms agree! I try to wear it at least 5-6 times before giving a review on it with makeup and use skin care daily for a month. It is hard to tell with just 1-2 uses.
Right? Or even after testing for weeks and all they say is "I'm obsessed"... Okay
The lighting is amazing in this video. Usually it's over exposed looking.
Love when you do these! I agree the Cover FX concealer is pretty darn nice :)
Jess!!! Can you do a comparison of the ELF Camo concealer vs the ELF Flawless concealer?
Wait they are different ?? Oh shit yea I need this video!
Yes, I would love to see that as well!
Tina Cho that is a great idea. I have tucked that idea away to do that video on my channel.
bleh Mabel that is a great idea. I have tucked that idea away to do that video on my channel.
Ines Lopes Neves that is a great idea. I have tucked that idea away to do that video on my channel.
"I know that video was long"
Me: I wish it was longer
I really appreciate the way you put in the time to thoroughly review these products and that you give feedback on value for money. Nothing helps me make better purchasing decisions than knowing where low cost products perform as well as higher end.
oooh I love anti-first impression!
I have the freshwear foundation. I have super dry skin and I love it. It hasn't let me down yet. Love the concealer too
Th editing, lighting, and detailed updates on all these products are incredible 😍 you're killing it as usual!
It’s funny you bring up the Cover FX concealer. I’ve had it for a while and never use it. Today I didn’t feel like putting on foundation so I just used it under my eyes to cover my dark circles and it spread beautifully.

Girl...you’re pumping out the videos and I’m loving it! One mom to another, one woman to another....GET IT GIRL! Women need to support each other!
The lighting is so perfect in this video! You always look great, but you look fantastic today!!!
The lighting on this video is perfect! You aren't blown out and I can see how the products work and sit, true to color on your gorgeous face. I love your videos, your honesty, and your organization
You're just such a breath of fresh air!!! I trully love your videos!!! 💛💛💛
I agree on Smashbox Cali Contour. I bought it bc several of my fave youtubers highly recommended. My patchy issue is with the contour. The bronzer us better for me, but I have to be careful. Lighter highlight in the center of lid. I'm amazed at the staying power.
Holy moly! A) I LOVE these videos. B) This video looks INCREDIBLE! Perfect settings and light! C) You are lovely and so beautiful!!

I am absolutely loving the natural lighting in your recent videos! Your makeup just looks stunning!
Thanks Patrice!! I scooted back a bit from the window for this one and I think I like it the best! :)
I appreciate your update. It makes the haul videos more worthwhile. I love the Josie Maran foundation too. It is so pretty.
I just bought that loreal foundation because so many people were raving about it...I love it! Lasts all day and makes my skin look amazing!
Lurv that you do these update videos!! Dedicated, organized, fabulous. Thanks for all your hard work!
Love the review! Red is definitely your color, looks so pretty with your dark hair.....please add one more thing , is their fragrance in the products? Foundations, primers, finishing sprays, etc....that would be so helpful!

You have easily become one of my top 5 RUclipsrs ❤️
It doesn’t feel like a month since your last video! Loves these types of thorough reviews and also that you are occasionally silly 😘
So pretty! Looks like you’ve finally mastered the lighting. Quality is soo good!! Love it. I love these videos keep it up! ❤️
I love that you factor in price in your reviews.
I bought the L’Oréal concealer & blush stick after your video, and have been enjoying both products!
I have oily skin and love the Josie Marian Vibrancy foundation. The concealer too.
Ok, I haven't even watched this yet, but I paused it immediately because the lighting, plus your skin and makeup are just gorgeous here!
I was beginning to think I was the only one that liked the loreal infallible concealer. I have heard so many bad reviews and I really like it!
I got the Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation in a QVC set. I have combination skin. I didn’t think it would work for me. I love it, so I don’t think it’s just for dry skin. If you want to try a healthy foundation, try it. It’s worth buying it along with the oil in QVC.
Nars Sheer Glow, is just classically good on my skin. It's about as matte/ high coverage as I like going, but still looks quite skin like.
Jessica, Thankyou for always being you!! You are so goofy in almost every video and it’s endearing to watch! I love it and always have a smile on my face watching your videos! You and Tyler are the only two youtubers I would really be excited and pumped to hang out with! Please don’t ever change!! Xx
I have oily skin and I love the Jose Maran foundation. I have to set it but it wears well for me
I tried the Milani KIF in Soft Rose which I think is a dupe for Buxom White Russian. When friends and family sale rolled around I bought four more! Great product. Hope they expand the color selection even more.
This camera and lighting is AWESOME
I always love when you state something is not worth the price. Honest review!
The Josie Maran vibrancy foundation is in my top 3 foundations- looks so beautiful on my skin- good stuff.
I love how in depth you go in your videos!
That Sephora twist up lippie is on my list now!! I'm always on the hunt for a good natural shade. I got the Fenty gloss in Fussy that you suggested awhile back and I LOVE it!
I have dry skin & that Morphe foundation worked amazing with a good primer.. the vitamin enriched face base does well with it
The lighting and settings in this video is perfect 😍 one of your best for sure! I can see everything great 👍🏼 btw have you tried the new milani concealer? If so, how would you compare the L’Oréal infallible one you talked about with that milani one?
This video and the Zendaya one have been my fav so far! Keep pumping out this great content ❤️
Loved this, fun to hear where things ended up. I need to try the L’Oréal Infallible foundation!
You absolutely have to! Literally the PERFECT foundation for everyday and it can be built up to full and it NEVER looks cakey you cannot go wrong!!
I like the Loreal foundation that you mentioned for its staying power, it wears very well for over 10hr on my combination skin. The concealer is ok too, not my favorite, but it's fine, I will use it up. Thank you for this video and have a wonderful day!
The red headband is so cute on you!! Red is a great color for you.
LOVE that L’Oréal Glow Mist! The sprayer is so fine it’s almost like a fog.
Jessica, I think you’ll love the Daniel Sandler blushes! Look them up! I heard they are loooong wear water based blushes
I cannot stress enough how much I adore you and your creative content! You are just so awesome don't ever change! P.S. PLEASE do a curly hair routine!!!!!! We can't take it any longer!!!!
I love the lighting in this videos. Its perfect.
My very first high end foundation that i bought was the Josie Maran foundation lol and i had no idea what i was doing and im oily hunny! So i only wear it when i go out with my husband for only a couple hours. Its definitely not the fourth i wear to work!

Wow! Jessica's lashes look amazing!
You go Jess! Playing around with lashes, spicing things up.

Can you please do a roundup of best tinted moisturizers/bb/cc cream products?! With summer approaching, I don’t like to wear much on my face but do want a bit of coverage and spf!
The Lancôme teint idole foundation is my all time favorite!! I use the shade 160 and I am pretty close to your skin tone:)
