    Am I the only one that thinks it’s unfair for expensive brands to charge for a pump?
    Nars does it, Mac does it, I’m sure other companies do it too.

    • @CarriedAwayWithDolls
      @CarriedAwayWithDolls 5 лет назад +3

      Yes I pay $42 for my esteelauder doubleware and an extra $10 for a pump. And it's a super crappy, cheap plastic pump. Doesnt even have a full cap. It comes with a tiny cheap cap that clips on the tip of the pump; small as a freaking dime.

    • @angelacharles65

      I think that's so crazy. My $10 revlon foundation has a pump so I'm shocked expensive brands don't as well

    I'm not one for spending too much on a skin cream but I decided to splurge and buy the dewy skin cream from Tatcha. I love it so so much. I also only use it in the morning because it just makes my skin look so moisturized for the day. This will be a constant repurchase for me.

    Word to the wise about the IT Cosmetics fair shade, it is REALLY yellow undertoned. I bought it and looked a human lemon. Please go swatch it before you buy it and get a sample. I didn't and I regretted it so much. Especially because it oxidizes and darkens the longer you wear it. It is NOT for pale people.

    I love the Hourglass foundation personally. For me the trick is using *very* little at first and building it up in thin layers. I also found that it doesn’t really work with a primer when I actually use one (which is once every 4 years or so). I just make sure to really take my time to buff it in and I actually love the end result

    The Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is amazing. I have rosacea and dry skin. It’s light coverage , for me it’s enough to tone down the redness. It’s a great alternative to foundation.

      Oooh! I'm gonna have to definitely give it a go. I have a lot of redness, though mine has gotten a smidge better from sticking to my skincare routine. But that's basically all I want in a base product. To cover up the bit of redness I have.

    Have you tried the CLEAN Reserve perfumes from Sephora?? They’re sooooo good and non offensive. I have allergies and lots of perfumes bother me (even tho I love perfumes). So my two favorite from the CLEAN Reserves are the acqua neroli and clean skin. Anyone reading this, please smell them and get some samples. There’s other smells also... you will not regret it! If you don’t want your concealer to crease or look kind of dry, try to use the tiniest, tiniest drop of any oil under your eyes before you put on your concealer, I got this tip from Wayne Goss and I was like awe! When I tried it. It works and I’m in my 50’s I’m so happy I no longer have dry under eye or creases 👍🏻

Morphe has a great range of eyeshadows and I feel like they blend way better, I own the 350 palette and it’s amazing! But the colors in soft glam are so worth it and if you have the extra time to blend it together, they are beautiful:)

    I’ve used the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation and I’m someone with Combo skin. I’m oily in my T-Zone but more dry in my complexion. I tend to apply either the Milk Hydro Grip, Bobbi Brown Face Base or even MAC Comfort Crème (something moisturizing) as a Primer/Base. I take one pump on the back of my hand and dot small amount of foundation on each section of face and buff it into the skin in light layers. I think what really helps this foundation blend better is warming it up with your fingers, using a brush when applying it and finishing it off with a sponge.

    you’re looking like actual perfection in this video. side note: pretty much any product that is a gloss, if you’re using it on the eyelid, it’s going to crease. that’s just the nature of the formula. some people can vibe with that worn in, messy eye - but ultimately the perfect glossy eye is only achievable in photos and for very short periods of time.

  • @jordanmoretta137
    @jordanmoretta137 5 лет назад

    In regards to the CT eyes to mesmerize, I have oily eyelids and love them so much! I just make sure to use a clear eye primer and don’t set it. Even though it does wear off some, it doesn’t crease much at all and wears all day. So pretty and my new favorite everyday eyeshadow. Would highly recommend.

    Jessica,
    I love your enthusiasm and thank you for mentioning the use of Ebates and their birthday in May when they award high cash back! I am showing my age with its level of cynicism, but I 😆 when people get so excited over 15-20% off. Makeup brands have us conditioned to spend $ without thinking and to believe 15-20%off is a HUGE DEAL, which it really isn’t. I realize it is better than nothing. Stacking the savings up with Ebates, makes the Sephora sale more worthwhile IMHO.

    I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried this but as an alternative to the tatcha dewy skin cream you might loveeee the Kiehls ultra facial moisturizer , not the one in the tub, the one in the bottle. It’s soooo moisturising and leaves an instant dewy look like you’re describing with the tatcha one , I’ve never tried the tatcha one but the description of it sounds exactly like the effect the kiehls one gives me

    LISTEN UP FELLOW #jambabies4life !!! If you are wanting to start picking up some of the Sephora Pro Brushes, there are 8 for 1/2 off OR MORE on the App. Here’s the kicker...when you go to shop & click on sale: choose the “FILTER” tab at the top right & scroll all the way down to categories. Once you open that, the list starts with skincare, then makeup...but keep looking until you see the “HIDDEN CATEGORY”🤷🏼‍♀️! I was like...what heck are the 8 hidden sale category items? Turns out, it is 8 Sephora Pro brushes!! If you choose the “Tools & Brushes” category, there are some other Pro Line brushes, but not the same as the “Hidden” ones...Weird right? They also have a couple from the Sephora Classics, random sets, & 3-4 hakuho-do x Sephora brushes. It’s a great way to grab a few to try! 🤗💜😘

I snagged the ones I wanted, but I REALLY wanted to make sure you saw them before the #JamFam bought them all! You can ignore the other messages..heehee! Hope you have a fantastic weekend...we are going to view homes on Geist w/our realtor 🤞🏻. Will definitely miss being so close to Patachou however😋!! Kisses for Gigi 😘💜

    The NARS liquid blush is gorgeous and easy to work with. The packaging is the worst that I’ve encountered in a long time. Messy, messy, messy! Believe the Sephora reviews about horrible packaging.

    I love the Hourglass Vanish Liquid Foundation, the first time I Used it I didn’t though. I have to use a very Moisturizing moisturizer before I use the foundation and using anymore than half a pump looks cakey. You also have to blend it out in sections instead of applying it to your whole face at once because it stays where you put it.
    It definitely has a learning curve but with how glassy and beautiful it makes my skin look, and how little product you have to use, it’s worth it.

    Returned the match Stix...hated them. Amber made me look bruised and I couldn’t blend it out. Too stiff of a formula

    • @amandakesterson224
      @amandakesterson224 5 лет назад +1

      Kate Fairbanks you don’t like them? I am in love with them, but you do need a stiff brush. I find it is the best for when you really need something to last through heavy activity.

    i loooove the fenty match stick for contouring it’s really good for pale skin, i use a really dense brush to blend it out so if youre having trouble blending maybe try that

    I have the Sephora pro drawing brush, and it’s so great! It’s like blending with feathers. If that makes sense. Blends beautifully and easily

  • @Ash_Lo
    @Ash_Lo 5 лет назад

    The fenty stix are not the creamiest things but I found that it works best by taking a brush ( I use a small contour brush) directly to the product and then straight to face. I also didn't enjoy the look of that cooler contour color so I went up to the shade mocha instead. I apply just the smallest amount to the brush because it's for deep skin and it gives me a warmer bronzier look.

  • @alisonmeyer9544
    @alisonmeyer9544 5 лет назад

    I have one matchstix from fenty, but it's a blush. That's how I use it anyway, but it's a shimmer and it blends out well for me. I would say all of the contour and bronze ones seemed to be a dryer formula to me. I think the one I have is called sinnamon. I keep looking at the rest though and have never been drawn to the others.

    I have desert dry skin and have been using the tatcha dewy skin cream and what a difference! It's pricy I KNOW, BUT I have tried so many different creams and they didn't work, I just got more texture...The Dewey skin cream is worth it and lasts awhile because you don't need much🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

    I love the Fenty stick in Amber. It is the only way I contour, I am maybe a tish lighter then you. I literally do like Kevin Aucoin/Mario type contour and just use a beauty blender to blend out. It is definitely too grey for bronzer. I haven’t tried the other colors though. I love the Sephora blushes and need to try the milk makeup bronzer! Great video
