@@thm8787 I did some research and found out that William Bellion may very well be Jon's grandfather, so this is either a song from his grandfather's perspective/about his grandfather (similar to Mah's Joint) or, your theory, he's having a baby.
4 years later... I hate it 😂 I heard him play holy life and said he would release it if no one filmed it. 2 years later I hear justing Bieber singing it 😂😂😢
I don't know if you guys realize this, but this song is HUGE. This is the next step in the development of the sound. The flow of his rap has developed super well, and it needs nothing new, but the production in this absolutely feeds into a very particular ambient effect which pulls together several layers of production to achieve a very specific sound, which he has experimented with in the past with GSP. You can see clear as day that certain elements of GSP are being pushed into this song, and the result is amazing. The beginning just shows how talented he is with melodies, and the production is amazing and never loses sight of its purpose. Everything in the mix is deliberate and plays a part. Truly great. I look forward to every piece of music that we see from here on out, and I'm sure you all feel similarly.
"He found a track from God he recorded, he wrote it down but only played the record for his wife sometimes" seems he's ready to share that music with us now too
@@alfredoma5015 actually Jon bellion wrote a lot of Justin Bieber's most recent songs, you can check the credits and "Jonathan Bellion" will be there 👌🏻
The truest of artists have a way with words that just make them work. Rhyming in ways that on paper you don't think would make sense. Very few can do this, Eminem and Bellion are the best two at it.
I come back and listen to this so often. Praying the intro of this video is the outro of a longer song because it’s some of the best production I’ve heard
"All the sins of my past, will my son have to reap? Oh, the tangled web I weave... Don't need your love, but I might need you to call me (Don't need your love) Oh, the tangled web I weave..."
There can never be enough Jon Bellion music in this world. I'll wait patiently because I know when his new music is released my mind will explode as usual. ❤️
Jon is unbelievably motivating for me; he's one of my biggest inspirations when making music and i genuinely hope to be in the same conversations as him one day. So much love and respect for this guy.
It’s so frustrating being an artist and also a Jon Bellion fan 😂 because although comparison kills creativity I can’t help being inspired by him but I don’t think i’lol achieve his level of mastery and creativity in this lifetime haha
TANGLED WEBS LYRIC MEANINGS Credits to Genius for all the meanings 1. "So if your father's a bum, don't take it out on me by paying ten-thousand for Gary Vee in an Applebee's" This quote is saying that Jon suggests that it's those without a solid father figure in their life "dropping gems" that would be willing to pay someone like Gary Vee $10,000 to be told how to live their lives. (And for those of you that do not know who Gary Vee is, he is a Belarusian-American entrepreneur, author, speaker, and Internet personality, known best for his viral motivational content on social media.) 2. "Content's not king, Coretta Scott King was not TikTok-ing" "Content is king" is a mantra repeated by internet marketers on social media, which essentially means, "the more content you pump out, the better." Jon disagrees with this motion, mentioning Coretta Scott King to prove that spending time dancing on an app is not how impact is made. 3. "Don't ever shoot a dance to this, this is a fucking manuscript" He references TikTok, which is an app where people record themselves dancing to music. He pleads that no one should use this song on the app. 4. "It's hard to move my body when my sister's packing bodies in an ambulance" His sister is a nurse in New York, and this could be referencing people dying during the pandemic or just in general. This is demotivating for Jon and makes it hard to want to do anything. Hope this comment goes out useful :D Also there is meanings for Postpartum Depression (Jon's freestyle) and Stupid Deep. You can find the Stupid Deep lyric meanings by finding the official Stupid Deep music video. You can find the Postpartum Depression lyric meanings in the video called "Jon Bellion's New Freestyle."

Insane what this man does with sound(s). Dang. Every listen draws my attention to something new. The guitar licks at the end in my focus this time when I replayed. My 3rd listen.
I will be a generational curse breaker. My grandpa and great grandpa did it. I’m rising up not for luxury but to lead the knights Joan of Arc. Heaven on Earth!
"No more generational curse you lady devils are tube tied" I'm listening to that line on repeat! That's gotta be about Alzheimer's in his family right? "back to the earth" "Captain planet organic".
“Lady devils” seems to be referring to temptation and lust with woman. I think he’s saying he’s done with it because he’s married now and he wants to raise his son better, maybe I’m wrong tho
For real though, I listened it once when it was released and I didn't really care for it, thought that it sounded too much like an intro and kinda boring, but now that I have listened to it more it sounds so good.
Nobody give this man a hip hop beat. If he murders; jazz, indie rock, rock and I'm sure there's some I'm missing, I'd HATE to see what he would do to a hip hop type beat 🤧 🔥 🔥 🔥 💯

Athanasios Papadopoulos he rapped about having a wife way before he had one though

Bro fact. It pisses me off but hypes me the fuck up!!!
Same as both yall. God damn are we overdue for his personal brilliance. Been so long.

How the heck did I not get this in my recommended section until now? My ears have been blessed!
Right like I'm 2 weeks late on this masterpiece somehow.
Abby Sennett honestly! Same thing I asked myself 😅

Kagense Poe Most likely because Jon himself didn’t post this :/
