On “My Car Story” we're in Rosemont IL at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals on 11-17-23.
We’re looking at a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko / SC in Hugger Orange Paint. The car comes with a 427 CI V8 engine with a 4 Speed manual transmission.
The car's Owner is Ryan Snyder. Ryan’s had this car since 2021. Ryan shares his 1st Camaro was a salvage title tribute Yenko Camaro in High School and thought if he ever got to a point where he could afford some of the baddest Camaros on the planet, he’d get them, and years later…well here Is one of his Bad Camaros. There was a refresh restoration by Frank Arone with Arone Restorations in Homer City PA and now this one looks showroom new.
To see details on the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show, go to www.MCACN.com

A Army Buddy Of Mine Returning Back From VIETNAM Bought A Brand New 1969 Z/28 In Hugger Orange , White Stripes DZ 302 4SP. And Drove It From Pennsylvania To Oklahoma . Boy Did The Three Of Us Stationed Together Have Fun At Fort Sill Oklahoma Driving Around In It. Sadly He Sold It A Few Years Later. Although Not A YENKO It Was A Beautiful Car. i had a yellow yenko nova complete with documents it was used as a drag car its whole life ! i literally pulled it out of a barn 30 years ago with 26k miles on the odometer and a blown motor ! my mother sold it on me when i left for the marine corps and when i got home from the marine corps a first lt i wanted to buy it back cause i definitely did not want it chopped up and i was too late ! the kid she sold it to chopped it up !!! i about cried cause i had it pretty close to mint condition!!she literally had the spine to say whats the big deal it was just a nova !!! fast forward 25 years ive got a habbit of wandering country roads well i saw an abandoned barn and a destroyed farm house in it was an old plymouth i did some research discovered the grand kids inherited the farm and wanted to drop the barn on grandmas car ! well it was their grandfathers car..it was a purchase they made together in chicago right after their grandfather completed some specific training he bought the car used and they drove home to massachusetts their last trip together, just before he went to vietnam ! he never made it home from vietnam sadly grandma prized the old plymouth ! it was the last memory of her husband. Well the motor was blown in the late 90s she had it replaced with a small block supposedly a 318 ! I now discovered it's actually a 340 but not good enough for grandmas taste apparently she was in love with the big block the engine was replaced by an actual engine rebuild shop . i was confused as to why she didnt just have them rebuild the 383 she kept the old motor which i purchased with the car it was sitting in front of the car , she put the car in the only good spot in that barn well that car was originally sold at first ave plymouth traded about 6 months later to none other than mr norms with either a crappy motor 273 or a motor mr norms didnt like but sitting beside the car was a 383 i didnt know anything about The kids were literally weeks from dropping the barn on it ! i asked if i could buy the car and was met with do you have covid ? were you recently in a mental hospital? the car had a bible full of receipts where it had been where they went in the car before he left on that trip he never came home alive from i said no i'll gladly buy it ! how the hell did you even know it was there one grandson said i said well i just had a strange feeling something was there. i got the car and motor home low n behold the car was for some very bizzare reason a special car indeed . stamped on the block was Dick Landy dli .. mike L on the side it normally has no markings was hp super stock or something to the effect! the motor ran to about 70k miles before she blew it up . now i know why she loved the motor ! it had been robbed of the heads and intake im looking for parts but i like to think of this as one marines gift to another marine whom lost his pride and joy .
