We always have these ginger lemon cubes in our freezer. Especially in the cold season. With hot water it becomes a delicious tea and as ice cubes in sparkling water it becomes a delicious refreshing drink.
Be sure to try it out. Once you get used to having it at hand, you can't do without it anymore 😉
Ingredients:
5 organic lemons
1 big peace ginger
1 glas water

This is real cooking in a real small family kitchen. No professional studio filming. I'm sorry if the cooking fumes sometimes obstruct the view. My kitchen is only 7m² 😊.

Measurements
I mostly use cup as measure. If you have a cup or a glas that also measures 250ml, you can always use that for measuring. For certain finished products and baking recipes, I always write down the grams also.
1 cup = 250 ml
¾ cup = 175 ml
½ cup = 125 ml
1⁄3 cup = 80 ml
¼ cup = 60 ml
2 Tbsp = 30 ml

Hello everyone! I'm so glad I have these ginger lemon cubes in the freezer. We're all in bed with a cold right now. I put 2-3 cubes in a pot of mint tea with some honey. it really clears a stuffy nose. I can only recommend.
get well soo! just subscribed, I love how simple this is. By the way you can put a piece of tape or a custom made sticker with you channel name on it to cover up any logos or name of things that you are not sponsored/allowed to show
for how long can i store them?
I cut lemons in half, squeeze juice out, then chop the rinds into smaller pieces and dehydrate them. When dry they can be crushed into a powder. If you don't want to use it all for these cubes, try mixing with equal parts of pepper for a lemon pepper seasoning for meats, veggies.
I blend the whole lemons. I squeezed some of the lemons and use the juice to blend it. No water added. It blends so beautifully, very creamy. I then pour them in ice trays and freeze them. Make sure your lemons/limes are organic. Blending the whole lemons is extremely important. The benefits are amazing. Don’t blend the skins if your lemons are not organic.
I do the same, the whole lemon. I cut off the end knobs and remove any pips though. The pith and peel have some wonderful benefits and are not too bitter, in fact I've grown to like the taste, mixed with honey. I have a very powerful blender so it comes out as a smooth paste. I tend to freeze smaller cubes as it's more concentrated. Such a simple and easy process, thanks for posting your video 🍋🐝❤
That looks refreshing and delicious, not to mention very healthy too 🤤😊 Cheers to your health!
Maybe people here are confused. The person used the zest of the peel and not the whole rind. Just the yellow part. I do see that there are a bit of the pith of the peel, but it is mostly the zest (yellow part) was used. It shouldn't be bitter.
What a lovely 😍 idea and a great drink in time for summer 💛.
Thank you so much for sharing 👍,wishing you a good day Simon and Beth ❤❤❤
I make these cubes, so handy.
I also mix some turmeric powder, a pinch of black pepper powder and little bit of Himalayan salt, warm water, stir and my morning drink is ready.
I drink a quart of lemon water almost every day. The added ginger will be wonderful. Looking forward to trying this! Both hot and cold/room temp. Thanks for sharing this preparation.

Great! I'm going to do this today. I have a head cold and sore throat. Adding honey to some of the cubes...
Don't peel ginger too much wastage, just scrape it, comes off easily 👍
Yes use a teaspoon it is east
Yes that's true, you can scrape with a knife as well
If you add some turmeric and ground black pepper you will have a wonderful natural remedy!
Good Idea. I'll try it. Many thanks.
Wow Amazing😀 very healthy drinks, thank you for sharing.

Delighted drink
Add a tablespoon spoon of apple cider vinegar, and you’re good to go.

Thanks for this tip
Hi, just subbed, great videos by the way, will look through your other ones as soon as I have the time x
Thank you very much 👍♥️👏💐
I press them with slow juicer and make them into cubes
Nice
I love this. I'll definitely try it out
Thank you
Zest the lemon. Then cut off the white part. That is what makes it bitter.
I love lemons🍋. I eat them with salt and pepper.
Blending the whole lemon, skin included is where the benefits are.
@@charjose2843 won’t that taste bitter and terrible though? I like to eat ice cubes and idk if that would end up being edible 🧐
@@charjose2843 also what benefits are these?
You can scrape the ginger with the knife instead of peeling it with the knife and you will avoid wastage
You can wash the the ginger skins & boil them into a beverage. Add a flavored herbal tea & sweeten to your liking & chill in the fridge.
I scrape ginger w/ a spoon....easy & fast w/ no possible cuts
I don't add ginger so there's no waste 🤪
You can also use a spoon to scrape the ginger that's what I use.
nice
Absolutely looking delicious ❤
Thank you very much
Good if you have flu or a cold ❤❤
Ya, we do cubes of ginger, lemon, and also cilantro chutney.
Excellent
Many thanks 🙏🏻
Que receita fácil e muito saudável . Obrigada por compartilhar 😇
Thank you very much.
like & Nice
Big thanks
This is funny! I made fresh juiced lemon juice and froze it in cubes AND I did the same with ginger!
Hi! I'm a new subscriber 🖐 😊
I’ll add a bit of cinnamon
Thanks for sharing the information ❤
The lemon peels is going to make it bitter…for those who have sweet tooth, take note
I agree. Just add lemon juice not its peel.
The white part makes it bitter. Just don't use that part.
Don't know if I missed it somewhere in the video but how long do they last in the freezer? Looks delicious and so convenient :)
Well, that would depend on your use, if you use cube(s), regularly, then they won’t last long. If you freeze, but don’t use, then they will last much longer. Common sense, right?
Where did you buy the ice tray?
För how long I can store these cubes without making it bitter
👍🙏❤️
Are you adding lukewarm water??
I’ve read that ginger and honey help stop snoring.
I have seen where people strain out the larger particles before freezing? Your thoughts?
Yes, some prefer it. Or you could put everything through a sieve again to make it smoother. That's a matter of taste. Best regards.🙋♀️
the ones that need to taste as in comparison to those who are trying to incorporate weight loss
Going to try. Need to drink more water. Looks like a natural way to make water more tasty. What do you clean the lemons with to get the dirt and other bad things off the skin?
Baking soda and water
And a brush, like a toothbrush used only for culinary purposes.
❤
Peel ginger with back of spoon waste less
What happened to the peeled off skin cut in little squares? And why peel it off if you're then juicing as normal? I am not understanding this I guess.
They were added to the blender with the ginger and juice at 2:56.
Only the outside of the lemon rind was peeled off, avoiding the bitter white pith, then the lemons were squeezed, thus avoiding the white pith
I didn’t catch that either. Was wondering, thanks
Do you think you could add a shot of apple cider vinegar to this, would that work? Thank you for sharing 😊
I'd add a shot of gin. 😂
Add the lemon peel instantly else, the lemonade might get bitter over time.
Won’t it taste bitter if we don’t add salt or sugar ?
Add honey to your drink
Add honey or maple syrup.
Zest the lemon. Cut off and get rid of the white part. That is what makes it bitter.
I would make this minus the lemon skin's.
The skins are very nutritious. I actually use the whole lemon. I just throw the whole lemon in the blender. Yes it has a different flavor but its really OK.
@@betsyoman7173
I'd cut off the white part of the lemon. That is what makes it bitter.
The zest is good for ya.
@@betsyoman71738
A lot of wasted water.
I agree
Hi, cool video, very beautiful and tasty, I enjoyed spending time with you, friendly like, come visit, I will be very happy, good luck and all the best, have a good evening🤗🤗😉😉🥰🥰
Thanks a lot. İ’ll visit you 🤗
Bitter as hel.
You can add 1-2 tea spoon(s) of honey Lol!! This video just show you how easy it’s.
don't add so many rinds, go easy on that part, of just leave them out completely
Zest the lemon. Then cut off as much of the white as you can. That is what makes it bitter.
