- ➤HIGHLAND - their music is recognizable for using Italian and sometimes Latin lyrics together with hip hop beats and rapping performed in English. The members of the act were the singer Nicole Heiland and the rappers Dean "Dirty-D" Burke and Patrice "Lady Scar" Gansau. Their music is written and produced by Mike Michaels, Mark "MM" Dollar and Mark Tabak, who are also behind the artists and bands such as Music Instructor, The Boyz and Ayman. Dean Burke has also worked with Music Instructor and Lunatics. Highland as an act; however, existed only for a few years. Their first single, “Bella Stella”, was released in 2000. The chorus was sung in Italian by Nicole Heiland and the raps were performed by Dean Burke and Patrice “Lady Scar”.

Very beautiful and unique song, dearest Viktoria! It's so interesting how they have combined a neo-classical (almost gothic) sound with hip-hop and rapping! The classical or medieval tone reminds me a little of ERA, but I don't know that they ever added rapping. Nicole has a stunning, operatic-type voice that fits perfectly with the music! Outstanding visuals that you've edited, and I loved the expressive dancing! (Do you dance around your place like that?) ;-)) Fabulous sound quality, as always! Sorry that I was late to the party, but we had terrible storms last night. Thankfully, everything is okay here, but other areas weren't so lucky. We had some minor storms earlier in the day which helped stabilize the atmosphere a bit, and we didn't end up with tornadoes. I hope that you're staying safe over there. Big hugs to you! ~Michelle

A song that fascinated me in my early teens! If you are bored with all the artists that copy other ones until every song sounds the same you will love this group. I Love the mix of beautiful music with some rap and anyone open to all kinds of music! If you've heard the music of this song, you will be entranced. If you've seen the VIDEO - you will become intoxicated! The operatics on this song are other-worldly and absolutely beautiful! And I bought the album "Highland" a long time ago!
