Is the Vintage ODR-1 REALLY worth it? (ODR-1X vs Vintage ODR-1 Silver)

I have long been a big fan of the Nobels ODR-1 and I love my 90s silver ODR-1 so when I saw the new ODR1X I figured I would give it a little shoutout with my old one.
*I'm sure I'll get some comments pointing out that the silver ODR1s are not the originals and are actually reissues. While this is true it is now a vintage pedal and according to Nordland, the silver 90s reissues are the same exact circuit as the original Korean made ODR1s. The Silver Logo on the Pedal signifies its the first run of reissues made in Taiwan and the later silvers with no Silver logo on the pedal are made in China.

I’ve got an Aion FX clone of the ODR-1, and it’s my go-to drive. Prefer it last in the drive chain, so it gets pushed by whatever else is in front. Sometimes I do the Protein thing with my Spruce Goose, sometimes with a klon-clone, sometimes a TS. Sometimes all 3 if I’m feeling adventurous.
I think I need to shoot a video of it for everyone. It’s got the bass control so I can dial some low out.
I've been waiting for more videos of the X. Great video. I think I may have to pick one up. I have a 30th anniversary I could stack into it. I also have been interested in the new Karma Machine Shop because you can blend a clean signal with either side, the ODR side or the Mostortion side.
Both have their own characteristics. Interestingly the Prize Drive in the HX Stomp is a pretty good model. You can tell Line 6 put a little more something into the modeling because it takes a lot more DSP in the block. But its worth it. It has become my go-to drive for a clean amp signal chain. Works great into a Tonex TJ 68 Twin.
The prize drive is REALLY close. I've got an ODR-1 as well and was blown away when I did a comparison.

That clean tone to use with pedals is great, how about a pack of clean profiles specifically to run with a pedalboard?
Love it. I run it into a 68 deluxe reverb and it’s magic. Like someone added a custom gain stage. Doesn’t mess with the tone.

Did a patron pay you to keep slurping your drink in an exaggeratedly loud fashion or were you somehow oblivious to this repeated offense in your video? My unsolicited 2¢ of constructive criticism is start an ASMR page for the nauseating coffee slurping and let the gear reviews remain just that.
The original just sounds better, more open and ore sparkle for lack of better words. The new ones have some extra bass and thickness to them. You should try the Nordland ODR it doesn’t the congestion of the newer nobles imo.
I have went completely away from overdrive pedals now. I just plug directly into my 2 Friedmans and use a Les Paul and I feel like I can dominate the earth that way. LOL! I also live in a big house on 40 acres and have the luxury of being able to be loud. I feel for all those who don't!

Great demo. The ODR-1X pedal and it is horribel. The gain boost is garbage. Just get the mini for half the cost.
The silver one doesn’t have it, bro. You are comparing a reissue to another reissue. The original green is the sauce.

@ I have owned them all. they are all the same exact circuit, but they don’t sound the same. There must be components from different manufacturers. I have asked pedal gurus, like Josh Scott, to look into it, but no one has done the research. I wish I hadn’t sold my silver odr-1 and odr-s but only because the price went way up. They never had “it”
