..for one, I'm quite sure you've figured this out by ear. Two, there's NO way anyone would have transcribed this correctly in any book..lol thank you for sharing your talents with us!
I wish I would have seen this when I recorded my version. I wasn’t playing crosshand but rather an octave apart. I knew it didn’t sound right. Thanks for this!!!
@MoveOverCasanova It was a pleasure! Let me know if you can play in that way: the guy that told me that technique when plays that part does't use the cross hand technique. He has learned to play with only one hand. I think the cross-hand technique is extremely intelligent: switching three and four is relatively simple but the result is an inextricable puzzle of notes. Great Banks! I have some days before go back to work, maybe I'll post some new performance. Thank you!
well, principally it is perfectly simple, and you really explained it very well in such short video, all info that´s needed, and it works -- but at about the third round, when the parts run no more parallel but contra, it get´s yet mean! i think cross hand is the whole point of that tune, you don´t get the "flow" with just playing the notes! ( but look at david myers on yt!!) i´ll post my recreation of the song soon martin, vienna
And then the Mellotron kicks in with that minor/major doom laden chord progression!
