It is classism, Monique is from New Jersey and has a middle class background. She is not of that the so called DC/black elite, she never went to an HBCU or joined a sorority. She married a pro-athlete and among classist people is considered replacable money. She has no connections, all she has is money or her husband's money. Another is that she is different stock, she is more in your face and does have the same etiquette or polishing.
