I've been saying for years Nintendo needs to step into the VR market its right up their alley. If they can make some actual good original VR games and maybe port some older titles like Metroid Prime they'd destroy all other VR competition in no time. Of course their headset specs would have to be up to snuff with at least the Quest 2 but I wanna believe they'd be smart enough to do the Quest 3.
Especially now that they are doing more 3D games (apart from mario wonder) it makes it even easier to think about how it could be turned into vr. For example, Super Mario Oddessey. You have to take the hat off your head and throw it at things. There is just so many opportunities for Nintendo that they arent taking advantage of.
This is not the first time nintendo would try doing VR, they already did the Virtual boy which flopped really hard. If nintendo makes a VR headset they gotta call it the virtual boy 2
If you watch the video, I do mention the virtual boy and talk about it. And no, they should not call it the virtual boy 2. That would be a horrendous marketing strategy.
Nintendo is making a Mixed Reality headset just like the Quest and I think Nintendo will make Mixed Reality games like what's on the Quest 3 and if you have a look at how the NES games look in Mixed Reality it looks like something Nintendo would do
it can be. If they don't skimp on the tech like they have a habit of doing. or just ending the relationship with Google making another competitor for themselves as they also have a history of doing. ((PS i will never use a google VR headset. they are too dominate in the tech world and spying on everything you do on their platform.))
if they make a vr headset at a reasonable price it will be the first one I seriously think about think and want there has only been one system i didn't want the Virtual Boy and the Wii U was very bad marketing.
Yea, if they have at least a few games at launch, the headset could be massive! Also I loved my Wii U, but yes the marketing was awful. It was marketed as if you could take it anywhere, like a switch.
Then what about the elephoant labo headset? That one has 6dof at least with the controller. A lot of people created vr games on labo garage, even recreated beat saber

I really hope it's gonna have touch controls and not just be playing the games in vr, my favourite thing about VR is touch controls.

Yea, and thats what you are meant to use for the VR modes in games like super smash bros. Its still only cardboard with lenses.
