The same situation has happened with me when fishing with a mate multiple times! There’s been stacks of times when, even though we’ve been using the same bait, the same tackle at the same venue, one of us will catch the majority of the fish, while the other one either blanks or just gets the odd one! Obviously there’s a reason for this, but what it is God only knows! It can be very frustrating, but it is what it is! Thanks very much for taking the time and effort to make the videos, and all the best to you and Gaz the Cod killer. You know what they say Dave: There’s fishermen and theres fishermen .Perhaps you could ask Gaz for some tips🥴😉😲Exceptionally tight lines for 2024
Cheers Kevin much appreciated, yes it’s a strange phenomenon isn’t it! Haha maybe he’ll give me a tip or two for the new year 🤣 Thanks as always for watching, tight lines and all the best for 2024!🙋♂️👍
Very interesting - I gave up shore fishing a good 20 years or more ago. I decided one freezing snowy New Year's Eve that I wasn't really enjoying myself on Whitley Bay beach, and I've not had my shore gear out since then. I do a lot of kayak fishing though, and I often go for pollack off Collywell Bay.
Yes it does make you question your sanity at times doesn’t it🤦🤪 good that you’ve been getting a few on the yak though 👍 thanks very much for watching and tight lines🙋♂️👍
Cheers Matthew much appreciated mate, yes same to you, All the Best🙋♂️ Yeah great bite and such a shame that he lost the other good fish, never mind, always next time🤞🤞
brilliant video as always lads, some nice fish gary, unlucky david, i suffer from angina, would i be able to fish this mark ? i fancy giving it a go sometime. thanks for any info fellas, all the best to you both for the new year, stay safe tight lines
Thanks for watching and commenting Mark. I really wouldn’t like to say as I would hate to encourage someone to do something and they end up coming a cropper, hope you understand. What I would say is that it’s an easily access mark and is relative flat and safe compared to most marks, assuming you fish seas that aren’t too rough. I think the best recommendation I could give you is to have a walk down in daylight, hopefully when others anglers are fishing so you can watch them fish and gauge for yourself how you think you’d cope? Hope that helps, thanks again and tight lines for 2024🙋♂️
well done you two, another class video, pity you had no luck David but thats fishing. Hope you, Gary and families have a great Christmas, all the best x
Great session Gary...that bite that nearly took the rod in was a heart stopper !! Unlucky David, fishing can be like that sometimes....have a great xmas boys, look forward to more quality vids in the new year
Such a shame it didn’t fully take the bait Kev, disappointed but hopefully next time🤞 Thanks for your support and all the best, more to come in the new year👍
Funny how you had a mare yet Gary could do no wrong despite being only a few metres apart. I was around that area about a week before and the codling I caught chucked up a Se Scorpion too. I guess cod just aren’t that fussy. Great video, especially in those conditions.
Cheers Oli very much appreciated. Yeah one of those weird unexplained vagaries of fishing. Yeah they’re not fussy are they, if it’s alive, they’ll have it! Thanks again, tight lines and all the best👍

well done lads. Mint session. Nice to see Gary bag up. Nice new reel, he careful leaving the the rubber on the reel handle. As it caused me bearing in my power aero to corrode as the water was sitting behind it mate. Merry Christmas to you both.
@@fullcircleangling yeah I left mine on as it was new and I thought it was stop it from getting damaged as we are all tackle tarts. 😂😂 and then I got my reel serviced and my mate showed me that it had actually caused the bearing and bush to corrode away. 🤦🏻♂️ took it straight off my new bullseye. Did replace the power aero handle with the gomexus. Much better grip like the bullseye handle. Which you have mentioned before in one of your vlogs.

I’m sorry you feel that way, that was certainly never supposed to be the intention or the outcome. The channel was set up to provide a bit of light entertainment and to help fellow anglers along the way. I understand your opinion entirely, but can I ask you this: every nook and cranny from Seahouses to Tynemouth has been mapped out and broadcast since the dawn of social media around 15 years ago, so anyone wanting to learn new marks only has to follow these maps or go and look at the coast when there’s either a sea on or an open being fished. Everything is clearly there for people to see. Social media and information sharing revealed many many marks way before RUclips started, indeed that’s certainly the view of many of the regions top anglers. If people flock to a mark immediately after some fish have been caught then they’re obviously on a learning journey as we all know that it’s by no means guaranteed that they’re also going to bag up. Once the initial short lived popularity subsides as people realise it’s not that easy and marks have to be learned over time, I strongly suspect that the status quo will resume and the crowds will die off. I understand and respect your opinion but I’d like to reiterate my initial sentiment; the channel was set up purely to provide light entertainment and help other anglers, not to create controversy. I take your comments on board and consideration will be given in future regarding publicising some marks. I hope that explains my thinking.
