Abrahams descendants fulfilled many scriptures. like it or not. The only ones who got the prophecies right are one race who are the seed of Jacob. Why do so many people envy our nations, why do so many want to immigrate to our lands? Because We were blessed above all others and need no one else. Other countries are turd world countries in comparison!!! We have blessed all the world as it was written. Now the evil ones are making us look bad and bringing immigrants here to destroy us as prophesied. Yashua will have to save us in due time. The sons of Anraham are the most benevolent people on earth. We are the only real people who help others!!! And that is why we are his chosen race. I used to continue to go to church on Sunday mornings as I believed it energised me and if I didn't go then I would spend time at home in a too relaxed stupor. Then I realised that that the energy was caused by anxiety and adrenaline and relaxing and rest is important for your health. Often I would catch up on the odd job at home such as turning out a cupboard or drawer to sort through what was in it or mending or altering an item of clothing. I gave up reading newspapers on Sundays as they did nothing for my self esteem and instead read books. And my Sundays are free for the odd one off event.

I’ve been an atheist for a long time and I always thought it was fine if people wanted to hold on to their religion. I know it gives people a sense of community and a feeling of meaning and purpose. But recently the hate in Christianity is really manifesting itself. The more I learn about the Bible, the more I understand exactly what kind of evil acts can be justified by following the Christian god. Worse, I see them acting out that evil today. What kind of holy book has an outline for when it’s OK to commit infanticide? Or Genocide? Or which endorses slavery? Is this their objective standard of morality? The best Christians are the ones that don’t read the Bible and who think and live like God is Love. The true believers, however, are a scary group of people.

I was an agnostic atheist for a long while but I'm becoming more and more anti-theist after realising how many traumas, mental health issues and maladaptive behaviours came from religious indoctrination. From chronic insomnia picturing demons to the excruciating anxiety and depression that followed the permanent feeling of being judged and unworthy all day. And realising this nonsense is being pushed to little vulnerable kids who will grow up either perpetuating this psychological abuse or suffering from it just angers me. I truly hope the Internet can help us spread the truth more and more so that people can learn to live with real empathy and compassion and not by a false "love" which is only an very disingenuous euphemism for fear, an egotistical conditioning and dogmatism.

I joined my local church and decided to read the Bible. Initially I was attracted by an all loving God in the form of Jesus. However having read about a 3rd of the Bible up to Elijah I began to struggle to marry up the Jesus I'd always heard about and the God which features in the old testament. Having joined my local church in 2020 I am no longer attending and have said goodbye to any faith I did have ,like most Christians I admire/cherry pick only the virtues I agree with.

    • @redwatch.

Yes, the church steals the mind. Why would the creator of the cosmos reveal himself only to a primitive culture? The Bible is chock-full of evil nonsense. So many (unverifiable) miracles then, but none now. Jesus allegedly spent forty days with his disciples after the crucifixion, but did he reveal a concrete explanation of the afterlife, the nature of heaven, angels, or human purpose? Of course not. Why are humans confined to hell but not Satan?
Jesus was probably a guy who preached the coming kingdom of God and was executed by the Romans. After he died, some of his followers had visions of his return and he was proclaimed the messiah. The rest is a growing legend.
I applaud you for questioning the bullshit that has left humans believing they were born broken. If God and Jesus are real, why do they/he hide?

The idea of the Bible god, Yahweh, having emotions does not fit the description of an all-powerful, perfect deity. Such a being, in itself, complete and perfect in every regard, would need nothing and lack nothing.
Perfection denotes completion, which is, in fact what the word for “perfect” means in both Hebrew and Greek.
Therefore, if Yahweh really _were_ a perfect being, he would require nothing, let alone, create an entire species just for the purpose of glorifying him. He wouldn’t need anything; not praise, not worship, not prayers, not praise-nothing! Those are things that an imperfect being might have, or need to give attention to.

Man! You're confirming my suspicions about the Gnostics being right about the Old Testament God😅 I tried going back to Christianity again, but I couldn't deny the fact that the Gnostic ideas and views, along with Sufi and many others; were too deeply rooted in my heart😁💗
After leaving Christianity some years ago, I went from losing faith in God answering my prayers, to realizing God was still with me, even not being in Christianity. When I started going back to Christianity, suddenly I started seeing prayers answered, much to my surprise.
But then I told myself I was going to figure out who that God was that was actually with me throughout my life. I know there was a God, but I wasn't sure if it was the Christian God or not.
This also brings tears to my eyes, because every word you say about hell, reaches my soul. That is one of the very biggest issues that drew me away from Christianity. I remembered one of the first times I cried for hours after watching a movie of people in North Korea, and thinking of the fact God would send those people to hell. Even people who would sacrifice themselves for each other. That made me so extremely upset.

But the fact is I think all of our hearts could guide us like that, it's just we don't always know it's safe to follow it, or that we even should; at first. Esp if we're taught not to😟

This touched on all the things I have been questioning too lately. I seem to have been blind to them before but one day it just hit me. I was so terrified of hell and I feared getting a mental disorder and committing suicide which would sent me straight to hell. Do you know what I did? I wrote God a letter saying if that ever happened to forgive me now and allow me into heaven. I just recently realized how messed up that was but that is what religion does to people, especially those with already existing conditions such as OCD, it’s an absolute nightmare.
I still struggle with a fear of hell but it’s a lot better than before where I would lie awake in terror every night and send myself into panic attacks. Everything you guys said is legit and anyone with a functioning brain and a sense of morality should be asking the same questions.
I just came from a channel that claimed God blessed her with a new car, apartment and higher paying job in a span of 30 days. She gave her testimony while wearing a “God is dope” t shirt. The comment section was filled with like minded Christians claiming because they got a few material things they were “blessed”and the rest were people asking others to pray for them so they too can get new cars, jobs, etc. Like gee, what about the fact that there’s millions of children dying of starvation, poverty, disease and people literally being blown up by war, etc are they not high enough on Gods priority list? Not praying hard enough? What a joke! And then you have the people that try to gloss over it and use cop out reasoning. “God can bless who he pleases” “God has a plan”. Like they really don’t see how actually f*****ed up that is or they just don’t care. This world is a sick game.

One thing that strikes me in watching all these de-conversion stories is no one mentions how the New Testament literally says the opposite of what the Old Testament says. It literally is a direct contradiction. That’s what woke me up. In one year I went from typical evangelical Christian to Torah observant to agnostic. I actually read the Bible and immediately started seeing very disturbing things and eventually I couldn’t justify it anymore, that and couldn’t make sense of how to New Testament literally contradicted the Old Testament.
