GROVER WASHINGTON DOES GREAT That’s right and it should have been listed by “Trumpet Mercenary”. Grovers Soprano sounds better than Wayne Shorter’s ( in my estimation ), technically innovative and creative but at times harsh and brittle sound on the Soprano... SMOOTH JAZZ/FUSION INFLUENCES Jimmy Health in a magazine interview ( in the 1990’s ), called Grovers music a bastardization of Jazz. This tune really shows that Grover could play traditional jazz music if he so desired....
