Have I missed something ? the match of the season was the abandoned Newcastle V Nottingham Forest F.A cup Quarter final, it had everything, a sending off, pitch invasions, offside winner , and the comeback of the season and they replayed it, but what a match
How many goals would be disallowed with VAR in those days and how players would each side finish the game with how it is played now. Although the pitches have certainly improved since then.
As a 10 year old ( at the time ) The Leader Gary Glitter was a cult hero of mine. Ignorance and young innocence is bliss! As for Liverpool, even greater glory was to follow.
And that the 2 games which probably cost him the Premier League title in 1996 and 1997, when he was Newcastle Manager, were both Liverpool v Newcastle. Both ending 4-3 to Liverpool
the semi against Burnley at Sheffield you couldn't squeeze a cigarette paper in between people in that Newcastle end (spion kop) must have been 10,000 got in with out tickets,
You saying that because of of one cup tie? Leeds were exceptional form the mid 1960's to the mid 70's . A Phenomenal team. One of the best ever. I don;t support Leeds but look at their record during that era.
leeds and liverpool twp top class teams..what a football era!
leeds and liverpool two cracking teams what an amazing football era!

Always liked Steve Heighway...so underrated
Our 3rd goal in the Final....best team goal ever in an FA Cup final?
6:07. My 16 y.o. head far left, right arm pumping the air with my scarf tied around my fist. My first trip to London.
eric stewart I’ve often wondered “where are they now?” When I see joyous supporters from the past! YNWA
Goals pay the rent and Keegan does his share - Brilliant David Coleman
This about the only place you'll get to hear Gary Glitter these days... .
The toon was rocking
coleman classic " goals pay the rent and keegan does his share "
Brilliant , the idiots that commentate now haven’t got a clue !
Shanks in his pink shirt, who knew he was such a fashion icon!..........................

Super Mac . Superstar .. How many goals have you scored so far ?
Great Liverpool side! WWFC.
we may have fond memories of the football and the music but it's clear from this series that British society was undergoing serious decay
As a 10 year old ( at the time ) The Leader Gary Glitter was a cult hero of mine. Ignorance and young innocence is bliss! As for Liverpool, even greater glory was to follow.
3:20 clearly isn't Old Trafford.
Street life by Roxy Music.
Goals pay the rent !
Newcastle were undressed, stripped naked !
Wouldn't get away with that commentary nowadays !
Brilliant stuff
Supermac mouthing off about an attacking Newcastle United team that finished fifteenth in 1973-74.
`nice one denis nice one son!`
Super Leeds
It was fitting that 10 years later Keegan's farewell game would also be Newcastle vs Liverpool!
And that the 2 games which probably cost him the Premier League title in 1996 and 1997, when he was Newcastle Manager, were both Liverpool v Newcastle. Both ending 4-3 to Liverpool
The seventies. MCFC woz ere. MCFC rool okeh?

I rememder scaling the wall behind like a human chain them high drop into the toilets.
Leeds one of the best teams ever in British football? Celtic battered them home and away in the European Cup. RIP Billy Bremner. Legend.

Big Jock’s a Liar
It was hardly a battering .2-1 and 0-1 is a battering ?
Revie was a top-class manager but also a crook. Bob Stokoe said that Revie offered him £500 to throw the '73 FA Cup Final!
It was actually when Stokoe was player/manager at bury in '61 and Leeds were pushing for the title that year.
Thats incorrect . It was against Bury that Revie supposed to of offered a bribe.
