Volvo proves that a simple yet elegant design can easily survive the years, and this car is as desirable as ever. And this new version seems perfectly successful.
XC90 has always been gorgeous and I do like that it did not change much since 2016. Volvo, unlike other brands don’t do stupid facelifts. They don’t need to, their design is timeless, elegant and clever. Therefore I was really afraid that this refresh would be… unnecessary. But it turns out it is absolutely beautiful. I watched live the reveal this morning. I love it. Please keep it for another 10 years or more ! Such a nice refresh. PS: at 0:45 are they doing a U-turn on a solid yellow line? 😅

I recently bought an XC60 T8 and experienced the essence of Volvo firsthand. The XC90 T8 amplifies this very essence of Volvo. It doesn't need too many changes; it just needs to stay true to itself. Those who appreciate it will naturally love it.
I’m on my second T8 in 5 years and love it. Current one is Denim blue, ultimate, bright. I upgraded my R design because the 2023 one received the high voltage battery upgrade. I do understand that they can’t add more battery capacity without extensive modifications to the frame. But this means, at least for me, it’s not worth changing to this version, just because of cosmetic changes. If the T8 is still going to stick around for a while it does need better electric range to keep up with German rivals. I get maximum 35 miles (in summer) and that just isn’t competitive any longer. Still love the car as a whole, but this is just a stopgap. And no, I won’t be going all electric with EX90 either.

I have been driving my Volvo XC90 (1g) for a little over three years. And it is my first car. I've loved Volvo since I was a teenager, so my next car will definitely be a next generation Volvo XC90, hopefully :)

The interior is made of thick and high-quality leather, the car was released in 2009, but the condition of the leather in the cabin is still at a high level. The quality of paintwork is also on a high level, it still looks like a candy. Also you should pay tribute to the metal from which the body is made - it is a tank by modern standards of automobile construction. And most importantly, I feel completely safe when driving the Volvo XC90. There is nothing superfluous in it. No exaggeration - it's a legend.
So much positive feedback on this car... good job Volvo! It's practical as ever, but with a striking, but lovely facelift, new infotainment (the old one was fiddly), but still, very distinctive and one of the safest cars in the world. Looking forward to see it in real life!🙌❤🔥

yes. Now Volvo management "suddenly" realized, that EVs are a soap bubble. They even announced in all media that they will produce only EVs till 2030. And now they don't have other choices except to change a grille 😂 in petrol car from 2014 and say it's a brand new model.
Is the T8 engine the same as the outgoing 2024 model making 455hp and 523lbft of torque? They didn’t highlight any specific drivetrain improvements during the premiere.
Definitely gonna look for an XC90 to buy as my next vehicle, even if it will be an older model atleast I will know that my family and I will be safe on the road.
