The real story behind those guys performingin the Starvanger Stadium andJan Egeland being messaged by his nephew about it is the real treat! Love your reaction!
@@ahkkariq7406 Nah, Jan Egeland did a ton of good. They did this with good intentions, not everything has to be /s to be taken in the worst way. When he quit the UN they played this ong for him in the office and these two guys interviewed him sometime later too.
@@Kraakesolv Even if you are right there is no reason why Norwegian politicians should be prioritized over politicians from any other country, which happens a lot.
Idk if it's true, but someone said that Ylvis got a letter from a viewer of the show, commenting on how they didn't congratulate Jan Egeland on his birthday, and this song was born from that, which I find hilarious😂 Apparently they showed this video during a UN meeting, and Egeland was really embarrassed, but I do think he found it funny as well!
Thanks for all the Ylvis reactions! If you need more background for this song, shout out :) Also check out, Old Friends, I will never be a star, Pressure, and Work It!
More like non sequitor, slapstick is physical comedy, like someone slipping on a banana peel. Non sequitor is a proposition followed by a nonsensical answer
I love how they just chose a random politician and made him a superstar without his knowledge 😂 There is an interview with Jan Egeland, who says how his niece called him that on a rock concert everybody is shouting his name 😅
Not quite random as he has been known for doing good things. But yeah, it was because someone on the talkshow got angry because they didnt mention it was his birthday, on one of their episodes. So they made a tribute😅. Gotta thank that strange guy for complaining
@@mari97216 Of course he wasn't totally random, but also he wasn't some amazing figure - just one of many people doing good things. Could have been him or any of his colleagues - just it happened that someone mentioned his name on their show. Really loving these guys, fantastic comedians ♥ A BIG pity that they stopped recording new songs 😢
I love your Ylvis reaction. The best Ylvis song IMO is Gangsta Baby rap and im sure youre gonna love it. It's totaly underrated but some might find it unpropriate. I think you will be the first one if you react to it. Love your channel.🤘h
@@sshovelyjoe All of their music is parodies. This, for example, is a parody of an anthem. "Old Friends" is a parody of the Simon & Garfunkel type songs.
Many interpret the song as a tribute to a Norwegian politician who later got a job in a UN-related organization (the Refugee Council). I would now rather say that they are making fun of not only Jan Egeland, but all these Norwegian figures who, for some unknown reason, are placed in apparently important positions within the UN system, and who think they can save the world. They have probably all bought the position with Norwegian oil money.
Why you so serious? A lot more countries with more loose oil money than Norway who sits on it like hawks. So no not very likely. In fact it was a tribute though randomly picked.
@@ToxicSkullFear I find the song hilarious. I love sarcasm and irony used as tools to expose hypocrisy and corruption. Why should ordinary people pay tribute to politicians who do nothing but fill their own pockets?

Jan Egeland is an actuall person. This is a nice tribute to him. ❤

I just saw the episode when he visit their show. He didn't know anything and suddenly he got thousand of messages about this.

"Jens" is Jens Stoltenberg.
"Jan Egeland" is a great and funny tribute song. I bet many had to google who Jan Egeland was after hearing this song...

Love me some Ylvis, this one was really cool!!
I will trust Jan Egeland with my life after this song.
Great reaction👍
This is imo their best song😅😍😍
They have a sketch called “Pie Jesu”, a little violent but funny.
Ylvis Pie Jesu

Stonegenge is pretty competitive though ^^
“Work it”. Also when Susanne Sundfør visited their old talk show. You’re thinking “weird interview” , but it all comes together at the end.
Jonas Gahr Støre is Norway's primeminister.
Yup...and how sad is that !
this song is just Gold
They sing sooooo good :D
