Eddy was 55 when this was filmed. He was at the "peak" of his second career. And in my humble opinion in the period from 1965 through 1980 his voice was the richest and fullest sounding of his entire performing career. May you rest in peace Eddy. You will NEVER be replaced.
Eddy Arnold had the best tone of any singer I have ever heard. He was the best with that style of singing. He could sing anything and turn it into a hit! The smoothest singer ever around! I always liked Mary Who and Somebody Like Me - great songs!
I learned how to sing by listening to Old Country way up in Balsam Creek Ontario. The songs are etched in my mind. Old Country makes a person feel good about themselves. It was time when we didn't put a lock on the door
These are 2 of my favorites! Thank you for making these available treasures to behold. I never met Eddy Arnold, but he always seemed like a family relative. His music always made a stranger feel right at home. And as for Lynn Anderson, my crush on her is still going strong. Thanks for the great music.
Absolutely wonderful singers with great songs. Brings back sweet memories of past generations whose songs give so much depth to the hearts and souls of mankind. Wish people would spend time singing or composing songs and making music than shooting senselessly around the world
I wish she hadn't stopped singing, I don't care how old she is...... No one can beat her, especially at this time (70s) in her career. Lynn if you ever read these, please "Come Back" to us!!!
I was told by someone who was at the CMA awards in 1982, that Eddy Arnold shed tears of happiness as he inducted Marty Robbins into the Hall of Fame. They were very close and Eddy had a huge influence on Marty.
"WOW" :) :) Lynn Anderson and Eddy Arnold singing "THREE" songs Elvis also recorded :) :) "I Can't Stop Loving You":) "Are You Lonesome Tonight" :) :) "Help Me Make It Through The Night" :) :) Always a Fan Crystal
Lynn Anderson is 60 now, so she would have been 26-27 here ..... total babe!!!!! Eddy was probably late 40s, early 50s here .... old enough to be Lynn's father. You can tell he enjoyed this gorgeous lady flirting with him.
I first heard this when Cissy Spacek sang it with that old gibson in "A Coal Miner's Daughter". Eddy's old records are terrific and fun to listen to. very time capsule.
It sounds nasty to say this, and I am sorry to those offended, but the minorities just took over the music industry like their fist wants to take over all the rest. As you can see, traditional majority and our singers are equally great and much better for digestion and for making love repeatedly creating bigger families.
LOL! Eddy Arnold, and to a lesser extent Lynn Anderson, personified everything that was wrong with country music in those days. To now say that Eddy Arnold were somehow a great example of country music is ludicrous and ridiculous.

She was at her prime here. Beautiful and taking country music where it hadn't been before, broadening its appeal. RIP gorgeous lady

Awesome!!!! What a treasure this is! And I WANT HAIR LIKE LYNN'S!!!!!
I get befuddled when I see RUclips dislikes for something that’s unarguably beautiful.
I love this. I was 5 years old and had memorized Eddie's "I'm Sending you a Big Bouquet of Roses." I have loved his music ever since.

Eddy was born in 1918, which would make him 55.
