I ordered the fixed bridge version over the weekend. It was on sale for $251. It's hard to find a fixed bridged guitar with SS frets on a guitar under a grand. I have those and love them but some of the places I play in a local band I don't want to take a $1000+ guitar to. I should have the guitar Wednesday accoriding to tracking. Looking forward to putting it to work.
Great video that helps a guitarist on a budget know that equipment is available and affordable for metal guitar and what are the important features to look for. As with any of Jamie’s videos, great information to guitarists on any level.❤
I have never found 1 G4M guitar (on their site) with a floyd rose bridge... ever... (id take a floyd over anything bc routing a guitar cavity is MORE a pain in the ass than modding everything else combined
Hey Jamie, I am looking into starting to learn Guitar - I have figured I'd like to play a wide variety of genres, mostly rock but have the ability to switch and sound right at the same time, so a versatile guitar would be best for me. I've enquired about a Schecter Fastback II B - Is this a suitable guitar for a beginner? I did initially have a budget of £500, this one is around £800 but it really caught my eye!
Great video mate. Lots of top tips in there, and I so wish I had these options and tips when I started playing. Getting a half decent guitar and amp is all you need to start. Just get playing!
i paid three hundred only to install stainless steel frets..........and this has not only frets...... full guitar for three hundred.... my goal is to check out their telecaster baritone. very interested in.
Hey Jamie, awesome video, I heard you mentioned that you raised your pickups, what height do you usually put them at? I have EMG's 81/60 but I really don't know the height I should put them at😃
I have A. Question I want to buy your Metallica course but I have a acoustic guitar right now. I'm looking to buy an electric guitar by visionstring You sent me the link a while ago. But can I learn Metallica with an acoustic guitar? Because that's what I have at the moment. I live in the us
@@JamieSlays awesome man thank you! As a newbie again all the options and stuff available make it like information overload and I know just picking something and starting will get the ball rolling but if you can help shorten the learning curve for beginners that would be great. Brandon D'Eon made a short about plugging in the interface, then picking one option for each Windows and Mac then connecting to daw and this and that, and it's like, well how does a daw connect to the audio interface, how do you find plugins and how do you actually use them to create tones? Like I bought a spark mini to make it simple but now seeing there's so much more out there (especially since the mobile app for bias fx is limited) it's just a great big world to explore
hmmmm "Shop at Gear4music for fast delivery on a wide range of competitively priced products. We offer worldwide shipping as well as long warranties and money-back guarantees." looks like it :D
Yeah, the headstock logo and finish is almost the only downside to these guitars. The shape is very nice, a matching finish to the body would be the cherry on top. At that price point though, this is almost irrelevant! I wonder which factory produces them, looks almost a bit like Cort.
@@JamieSlays I get the "Unfortunately, you used an old or broken link." message, tried 3 browsers as well as incognito. Could be region locking, maybe? No idea.
But is there reeeaaaaallllyyy a tone wood thing with poplar burl guitars? 🤓 Also for the price I bet that's a veneer. Also weird asking us to guess the price during unboxing if it's on the thumbnail, lol
This guitar is arriving to me in 2 days, But this is not the first time I order this guitar, because for the first time our loving G4M friends sent me a completely different guitar...
I had the 7 string version of that guitar a couple of years ago. It definitely looks the part, but quality is really low. Fret sprout and tall frets all over, finish issues with the clear coat, locking tuners were all crooked, the nut was glued kilometers away from the fretboard, the entire neck was slightly twisted, making it impossible to set up properly… issues that compromise playability and, if you are a beginner, either you learn how to solve them by yourself or spend the same price of the guitar with a good tech. Maybe they improved their QC, but I’m really skeptical. I ended up selling it not too long after I bought it, loosing money on the process. I learned during these years that it’s much better to get a second hand Ibanez than spending money on a budget new guitar. There’s no way around it, for 300€ compromises will be made, unfortunately.

SOUNDS GREAT RIGHT?!
This guitar looks beautiful! The amp looks great too.
Floyd rose special is absolutely shit.....dont buy this
RGA42FM works really well for me I got it for christmas
I think it was, plays like a dream
same here
great guitar, had it too
Great for the price! Nice stainless steel frets and the floyd rose special and pickups could be changed eventually.
With Harley Benton you can get an original FR for around the same price, with the stainless frets and good pickups
Sounds so sick. Especially those cleans. That guitar is badass
@@WantedPeak thank you mate :) yeh I loved the cleans
Great stuff! That amp sounds great with those IRs!
This is proper helpful
thank you legend! :D
What a video! 🔥🔥🔥🖤

hmmm, i purchased the 7 string version few years ago, same specs but with a subzero logo from the same website. still an awesome guitar
About time gear for music amps got metal representation on harly benton on utube also like the way you show how amp is connected to computer good show

Thank you!!! ❤️
Super sick guitar
I'm assuming the top is actually a poplar burl veneer, right? Either way, G4M have some cool stuff, check out their baritone T-style guitar next 🤘
I still use an '83 original squier, its got two single coils and one humbucker, pretty sure its got a rosewood neck too, I'm very much a guitar nerd 🙃

great video man. decided after all i DO need a new guitar! ❤

Is there a chance to download these magnificent IRs?

What song were you playing during the thrash tone test?
My own song I’m writing :) do you like it
What do you use for the thrash, deathcore and lead tone? Is it the amp? Sounds completely different. Sounded good
I used the polychrome Mcrocklin suite :) it’s incredible www.polychromedsp.com/mcrocklin-suite/

It’s down to preference to be fair but almost as close to the string as you can get without touching

what to do to install it when it come out from the box? for low action and fast shredding

Gear4music rebrand all Subzero models to these boring G4M ones. The logo on the Headstock is beyond ugly.

i’d honestly just paint over the logo lol
"Has to be able to take some abuse" me breaking a low a (7 string) an hour after putting new strings on jamming to slam
