Good evening everyone! Glad to hear that you’re feeling better Peter and good luck with the garage build. Good to see fellow Bristolian Lando doing well, thankfully he hasn’t been afflicted by the local accent, unlike myself!
Haha. My mum's side of the family are all from Bristol. As a Londoner, I struggle to understand, especially when they say to the kids, "put on your daps"
Watching after returning home from attending the Sir Stirling Moss Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. An amazing gathering of world champions, team personnel, friends, and supporters there to remember the great man. And a stunning collection of his cars, including “722” that came back to the UK one more time.
Hi all. Great result for Lando Norris. He was brilliant on the day. Glad your cold is finally better. Talking of night shifts.. we’ve been on nights for 33 years. Most of them 12 hrs 😩
Hi Ped Great to see that win for Lando, well deserved here’s hoping for more to come. Having completed a major building project just over two years ago, looking forward to seeing your dream garage come to fruition, bet you wish you had started when we did seeing how material & labour costs have soared.🤭
Glad to hear and see that you're leaving that head cold behind, mate. Recovery is at hand! This TWR V12 Supercat get's the "chef's kiss." Such a beautiful and respectful last gasp for the car manufacturers I used to adore back in my day. These times remind me of the waning days of film cameras. Nikon, Leica, Hasselblad and many others built the loveliest and best-crafted cameras for film...just when they and everyone else were going digital. Now, even obtaining repair service, film and processing for these cameras is a tall order. This Jaguar and those of its ilk will also face challenges in the 2030s and beyond. This makes them more admirable in my eye. I give them all a smile and a tear...
Garage - my dream you lucky bugger! Well deserved and super excited to see the progress. Gotta get some motoring glitz in the Ped Parlour when it’s done.
Very much looking forward to anything related to the TWR Supercat. I live just a 5 minute drive from Podium Place, so it’s exciting to know this is being built there. There was a very cool red TWR XJR-S parked around the back at the weekend, too 😎
The new garage is going to be great 👍 congratulations 🥳 For me the GP that always tugs on the heart strings is Monza 🏁 This year will be the 46th since the death of Ronnie Peterson. Stunning driver and a great bloke. Never forgotten here ❤
It’s great that the XJS is getting some attention… and it does look like a great project. 600bhp and wide arches was done a little more elegantly by Lister in the eighties but modern tech should elevate this to new levels.
Hello Peter! Well late this week but some thoughts! The garage will be a transformation for you and make a huge difference. Mine is all new but not big enough..there simply is no way to enlarge it but get excellent LED strip lighting…I’m so pleased with mine..bright, no shadows and not harsh. Get good flooring and go for the heavier weight tiles if you have them..the popular showroom type grid ones get full of dust so I got raised “ penny” design tiles in red and grey..they work perfectly. I also bought illuminated signs and there are hundreds of designs…they make it look special! I’m really looking forward to see what you do with that fine building! Useless fact…Hilary’s local corner shop was run by the owner of the registration number TWR 1 and had it on various cars including an Austin Princess 1800!! I still see the number around and guess it is still in that family but always thought Tom Walkinshaw would pay good money for it! 😎😎 Lando is the talk of his old school ( Milfield) and the Head has been giving interviews on BBC points West…I hope his success continues! Time to go…loads of garden planting to do…Plants from Cornwall, Hampshire and Somerset are outside calling me! 😃😃😃😃 Stay safe…Richard😀😀😀😀😀😀
You should put a pit or a ramp in. The ramp having the obvious advantage of extra storage but also allows inspection and talking about the oily bits of the car.
You need a bendpak auto stacker in the left bay. Options to get under a car and also turn your two car garage into a three car. Use a glass wall at the end of the mezzanine and have views from your office through to the car on the top of the bendpak. Genius.
Just returned from a drive in my new to me car that I picked up earlier today, a Mercedes SLK55 AMG. My first V8. Sad to say goodbye to the GR Four Yaris after nearly 3 years. Petrol is increasing a little.
Lando - agree, just seeing the rest of the grid congratulate him says it all! Petrol - yep, gone from £1.49 to £1.71 for premium - thankfully Porsche club have the WEX card so 6p a litre off. What am I doing. At the hospital saying hello to my first grandchild, Gabriella. Cannot express the happiness I feel - next generation peddler if I have anything to do with it.
Yes fuel is creeping up again!! Laanndooo!! :) Fingers crossed that Ferrari's upgrades in Imola start making a fight of it at the front. The Senna bronze statue by the side of the track is very thought provoking.
hope the garage build goes well looking forward to seeing progress - as an Architect - i'll try and resist driving from the back seat 😜 - already made me think of structure , clearance etc, cannot help it - will a van / tall suv fit with something on the roof and have clearance in your upper floor.....or are you only garaging low slung cars.....building projects are always stressful so hope things go smoothly.
Garage ceiling height is going to be 2.5m. It’s having a steel frame and mezzanine so we can remove the current roof supports. So excited for the build and to finally have my dream garage 😬👍
The Jag looks awesome . FYI Tom Walkinshaws other son runs a race team in Australia 🇦🇺. Plus a company that converts LHD Utes (trucks) to RHD for the Australian market
Was a good race and so nice to see someone else win. For me the respect Lando had from all drivers was amazing. Do you think it also goes to show about being in clean air. Out in front and off you go?
Petrol up here - about 149p for standard unleaded. Was 142p. Nice!!! Love that TWR but I suspect the relationship with the petrol station would be a close one...
Evening all. Loving the weather at the moment. If someone could restomod a Renault 11 turbo. I’d buy it. Loved mine when I had one when is was 18 many moons ago!!
Evening Ped! Petrol is fluctuating in price up here in north Lancashire. I always buy premium super unleaded for the F Type, I don’t do enough miles for it to hurt me too much, mind you I have just had to replace two rear tyres and a set of rear pads costing over £600. Ouch!
Do I make the magnificent 92? 🤣 Just paid £1.79.99 for super 😞 F1 awesome for Lando & McLaren. Interestingly I was watching stadium tuck racing and they have a 'mandatory' safety car 50-75% through the race. This would be very interesting in F1, bunch the pack up 20 laps from the end and you would get a similar race to Miami. Much more exciting. Don't forget to watch the BTCC its even more thrilling and if you do then support Dan Cammish 🙏 Next time you are at Podium place you should visit 'V' engineering, 5 mins away, unreal McLaren workshop and where almost all the P1's go to be serviced. If you want an intro let me know. You know planning expires after 3 years ???? Sounds awesome
Really really chuffed for la do, such a great bloke. As max was quoted when the usual nay sayers came out with the whole “well the safety car came out, max car damaged etc”, if my aunty had ba**s she’d be my uncle. People just can’t handle that mclaren and Ferrari are catching up. Max might have an edge, as might the red bull car, but it’s nowhere near what it was.
I always use subtitles, and they said mold instead of cold!! 🙄 And that modded XJ12 looks like something out of a Hot Wheels vac-pac! Just looking for one now. And Lando Norris!!?? What a brilliant . . , No I'd better not, after all, no one really likes being a teenager until they reach 40. 😉

That XJS is wow. If John Steed from the Avengers was around, that's the car he would drive (remember The New Avengers from the mid-70s).
Thank you for talking about your plans for your new Garage and Office 😊
You are so welcome!
Hi Sir Pete! Gas has gone up a bit where I’m at. Sorry to hear it’s going up for you as well. Glad you’re feeling better. Thats a crazy jag!
Good evening everyone!

Wow 😮
Still traveling in our Renault Master Motorhome for the last part of an Aussie Autumn. Enjoyed the format and content again.
Safe travels 👍
Congratulations with the garage pal.
Great result for Lando.Thoroughly well deserved. The Supercat looks fantastic.
Thanks 👍
Good evening buddy. THAT XJS IS STUNNING, OMG, WANT WANT WANT. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mega isn’t it 👌

Originally wanted it done a couple of years ago but materials and cost were much higher. Things a bit more sensible now 👍
Pleased you're also feeling much better, Pete (I am, too - back out on the motorbike). Looking forward to updates on the garage upgrade.
Great to hear 👍
Glad to hear and see that you're leaving that head cold behind, mate. Recovery is at hand!

Ah Ronnie was my sisters favourite. I remember that race too 😢
Thanks for the shout out pete!!! Unfortunately not tho hahaa i normally get about 4 hours between each shift.
Legend!
Glad you're feeling better Pete. I like the colour of the TWR 'XJS-on-steroids' & that Ferrari is very nice
Can’t wait for the garage series 👍 I often watch Obsessed garage wishing I had a garage that size 😂
Can’t wait for the build to begin 😬
It’s great that the XJS is getting some attention… and it does look like a great project. 600bhp and wide arches was done a little more elegantly by Lister in the eighties but modern tech should elevate this to new levels.
Following for the garage build, that’ll be mega!
Great to hear. It’s going to be mage 👍
Hi Pete. That Supercat looks amazing! Just watched the IOM lap!! OMG, amazing!! Cheers, John.
Glad you liked it!
Interesting garage project. Looking forward to see the progress and the final results
You and me both!
Hello Peter! Well late this week but some thoughts!
The garage will be a transformation for you and make a huge difference. Great to hear you are feeling better always a good sign
Yes! Thank you!
I love the work on the garage! Curious why you didn’t go for a stacking system with all that vertical height? More cars!
True but we wanted a second floor for a gym and office 👌👍
That 2016 video reminds me of the several laps I have done on that circuit but not at that speed
You should put a pit or a ramp in. The ramp having the obvious advantage of extra storage but also allows inspection and talking about the oily bits of the car.
That assumes some kind of mechanical ability 😂 I take the car to someone that has that 😜
Wow, great plans for the garage, Pete! Nice 👍
Thanks 👍

Happy for Lando to finally get a win. Hope your barn design includes a tall door to enable you to get your Defender in when you get it one day😂
Best of luck with the garage build, looking forward to the work videos and outcome 👍
Thanks 👍
The Jag Supercar reminds me of the Stead XJC of the New Avengers.
Just returned from a drive in my new to me car that I picked up earlier today, a Mercedes SLK55 AMG. My first V8. Sad to say goodbye to the GR Four Yaris after nearly 3 years. Petrol is increasing a little.

My childhood dream car was the XJ Coupe from The New Avengers!
Evening Peddlers, hope everyone is doing okay? Loving the rejuvenated McLaren team in F1 & Lando's first win was amazing. 😉
Love a Jag! Nice bit of squirrel 😂
I remember only a few years ago, when petrol and diesel were both 99p per litre at the garage near me.
I can remember 50p a litre 😳😂
The Jag looks awesome . FYI Tom Walkinshaws other son runs a race team in Australia 🇦🇺. Plus a company that converts LHD Utes (trucks) to RHD for the Australian market
Thanks for that 👍
Pete you need a couple of lifts, in order to have 4 cars in the garage
Second! Evening all for the Spanish Basque country! Hope everyone is doing well and having a great week so far.
I’m in Mallorca 👍
@@PetrolPed Very nice! Back in the London. The weather here currently is perfect. 👌🏻

That terrible weekend when we lost Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna is etched in my memory.
To me, it is like it happened yesterday.
