That was a huge chunk taken care of on the fire pit project. Going to be very nice to sit around that on your veranda.
oh... I love it... your log burner is gonna be just lovely!!!! I am also betting you have a clever idea for having a wood/log boot like thingie on the terrace so you don't have to go and bring in wood and then miss a beautiful sit out in the evening.
I would drill some holes in the bottom of that pan one for air circulation. You might want to do holes on the side also. And for water drainage.

You need aerators in you pond/moat to help clean out the algae and make the water clear and fresh. Keeps the mosquitoes down too.
Your patio area on the side of your home is really beautiful. I can just imagine sitting there and watching the water flow past. It's good to see you finding the motivation to get all of these things done before the last minute. We are all guilty of doing that at some point.
Just think how far ahead you will be for the yearly event in the back garden! All mowed and wood all chipped! Fire pit on the terrace for evenings with friends....full speed ahead!
Welding skill makes so many repairs possible. My hubby did the exactly the same work on a second-had fire pit we found and it has given us tremendous pleasure. Here's to your future fire pit!

See...you have so many talents to fix things. Hire Janis or someone to cut n stack wood. Maybe help move gate etc. One laborer for a day is worth the $.

Putting two or three inches of sand in the bottom of your outdoor fire pits will help stop the corrosion. Make sure you keep it covered, the rain and ashes are corrosive .❤

Didn't burn, was torn down and parts sold off due to the former window tax. 😐

Ah!! The fire pit!!Mine is round cast aluminum frame …bowl center burnt through…watched a you tube video about refurbishing and hello!! Buying a really large restaurant quality stainless steel mixing bowl on Amazon was an exact fit!!! Been working for 6 years now and I have a spare bowl in storage!!❤❤ love it when a plan works!!

Terrace looks good. Time to prune your hydrangeas in the pot. Cut down to double buds.
Boiling water also works very well for killing weeds on gravel and bricked areas.
I live in WI USA. Thursday pm Into Friday am we received about 2 inches of snow. Its so nice to see daffodils. The extra holes in the sides are for air flow. If you put the wheels on a rod you can use them for exercise equipment.. You deserve a sit down and a drink. Have a good weekend.

Hi Phil~ Beautiful sunny day... that always lifts my spirits and motivation, too. Spring has definitely sprung in your neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to it coming where I live. You have so many lovely blooming flowers, shrubs, and trees to bring your château more to life. Your videos are so fascinating to me because you have so many many skills and talents. I love that you not only have the skills but also the motivation to take something most people would just chuck and transform it to function better than when brand new! I'm a grandmother, and I came from a long line of family who saw value in fixing or repurposing items that wore out their first purpose. Too many people treat everything as disposable and fill up their backyards, the landfills, or even worse our rivers and oceans with their discarded junk. It really is treu that "One man's junk is anothe one's treasure!" I some missed this vlog earlier, so I've already seen your fabulous finished firepit project in place on your terrace. Bravo! I have a son-in-law like you... a good man, a good friend, a hard worker & he can fix or build anything. My daughter is very blessed. Hi Philip, first thank you for taking your welding project to the shop to work on it. I'm wondering if you can do Billy a small favor, ring him up 4:08 and explain why it's a bad idea to do metal grinding and metal welding inside a 120 year old wood structure building. Hinde sight is 20 20 but by then it's too late. Loving the daily vlogs. I watch every new video.

Last years heads should be left on until all danger of frost is over. They protect the new buds.

Love the new firepit. But shouldn't you have air holes on the sides (tkepp the fireburning), and a few water drain holes on the bottom so it doesn't hold water and rust away again. (Just helpful hints)
