THIS IS MY VERSION OF THIS THEORY. I REVISITED AND GATHERED THE FACTS ON MY OWN BY RE-WATCHING THE SERIES.
This is a theory based on the Montgomery Family and the connections that they may have with Charles and Bethany.

I was thinking hard one day.
Byron has a BROTHER who has mental illness
Wren has a DAD who has mental illness.
Maybe Byron's brother & Wren's dad are the SAME person!!!
Meaning Aria & Wren are cousins!

I think its Mike and possibly Wren. But Wren could be just a distraction. If u pay attention to one of the recent episodes Ella was talking about how Mike haven't been in his dorm room lately. Which means after the girls came back to rosewood. I think Mona is trying to rattle Spencers familys cage but ONLY for a reason though. And think about it guys. CeCe drake DOES NOT look like a man at all. I mean not even by the feet. So the person who had them locked in that doll house was NOT CeCe. The masked person in the dollhouse was a Man. A nice sized man.

ShantelKarisma several of the girls kissed a relative before they knew they were related. spencer kissed jason, and toby did much more than that with jenna. that's what happens when the adults have to many secrets of their own. byron has twin girls and i think they are bethany and cece. i think their mom was marion. i also think charles is wren and marion and kenneth are his parents. look at scene where toby is unloading the truck when jenna is moving in and you will see a box labeled jennas room and the right side of the box says bethany and the scene when byron is looking at an old photo album in the living room has pictures of twin girls. I also think sarah harvey is black widow because she is helping charles (wren). when sarah went missing her freind told emily at the brew that sarah was just like ali. Only someone just like ali could defeat ali.

Intresting theory. I also belive that Aria is somehow involved. I am certain it´s not a coincidence that the A messages started after she returned even when A was at first Mona. After all we cant say for sure Mona was acting as A alons. She must have the idea from someone or from somewhere. Besides who knows maybe A = Charles and A = Mona acted as A without knowing about each other. They just though it would be easy to use the letter A because of Ali.
wow I never even thought about the mongomery and Bethany relationship. omg I love this theory. omg I never thought of wren as Charles but it could make sense. the only thing is that Jason and Charles are twins so he couldn't have black hair. I mean he could have dyed it but I still think wren somehow loops back into this.

I heard people saying that wren killed toby's mother so maybe before he came into the show as melissa's boyfriend he was in radley as a patient.

If Wren=Charles then is that why he never talked to her as Wren but did for the other three girls and why he put the picture of the family in her dollhouse room?
That's the point, i think. We never saw him talking to Aria, maybe because he knew she is her cousin and don't want to be recognized by Byron. I've read somewhere that Byron will confess some big secret in the summer finale. Maybe its about his brother Scott. I think his brother had an affair with Jessica, but she didn't told Kenneth that Charles- Wren, is not his son or maybe he found out later that's why he didn't care about his "death". Wren is the same age as Jason, maybe a year older. I think he has a british accent because he was sent to England, when he left Radley. Maybe the doctors said that he was cured, but Jessica wasn't so sure, but she wanted him to have a normal life. He left Rosewood and returned. He tried to be involved in the life of Alison by being Melissa's fiance. And he stole the game from Mona. I mean in 3x01 Mona was in Radley, and he was also there pretending to be a volunteer. I think this theory fits more....
Lil Storm Maybe Charles faked his death with the help of Mrs.D so he could assume a new identity as Wren Kingston?
Lil Storm maybe his accent is fake but he did go to london for uni which is why he had the room mate Spencer stayed with

Yeah. I think the real Wren Kingston is dead and Charles stole his identity after Ali's ''death''. That's why he's able to work at the hospital and Radley. Because the real Wren has the title. But, i guess he should have known a little bit about medicine, because obviously you cannnot go there, say hi, and start to work as a doctor. Maybe he did study after he left Raddley.
So I know CeCe is supposed to be Charlotte, but maybe Charlotte and Charles were twins and she was sent away at an even earlier age than he was! She was always in Radley, but Charles (Wren) wasn't actually there very long before he was sent off to a better hospital in London!!! If they happen to be Mrs. D and Scott's kids then I still think they're cousins to Aria AND Bethany bc she's Ruth's child with either Kenneth or Peter..... I still think (hope) that Wren is the new villain Big Bad! Just my opinion here guys- please no mean comments.

That would explain the two yellow dresses as well - if Jessica had an affair with Scott Montgomery and they had Charles together then she probably thought of Bethany as a step daughter. Obviously that's why Ali's Dad couldn't find out because Jessica would have to explain and then, like she said, he would leave.
Ok so I think this theory is very accurate! I think that Bethany and Charles aka Wren escaped Radley that night to kill Allison. I think that Bethany wanted to because she was always jealous of Allison and of coarse had a mental illness, and I think Charles wanted to because she is the reason he was in Radley in the first place and of coarse a mental illness. Well we all know that was one of the most messed up nights ever and I think Charles was the one that hit Allison with the rock that night and Mrs. D couldn't go to the police because everyone would know that she lied about Charles's death. So of coarse Allison gets pulled out and somehow Bethany is the one ending up dead and we know Melissa buried her but who killed Bethany and why? Was it maybe Mrs. D trying to get back at Charles or was it Charles? Another theory maybe Bethany got to Allison before Charles did and Mrs. D didn't tell the cops because Bethany threatened to tell everyone about Charles, and maybe Charles saw Bethany later that night and thought she was Allison and hither instead and when he realized what he did he fled to London for a year giving him enough time to pick up the accent and get back just in time to steal the game from Mona!
But didnt wren actually worked at radley?? If he is charles and charles was a patient there...i dont get how no one there recognize him
Yeahh, I didn't think about that.. Maybe thats where Eddie Lamb comes in. You could tell that Wren and Eddie didn't like eachother so maybe Wren knew something about Eddie and made him help him get into volunteer work at Radley!
+Peyton grayless maybe someone else hit Ali and on accident Charles hit Bethany because since she was wearing the same clothes Charles must've thought that was Alison

There are alot of clues linking Wren and Aria together.. There's also speculation that Wren is not charles but that Sara Harvey is actually Charles..because if she's not idk what keeping her on the show means she doesn't really do anything..but if she was Charles that would make more sense. and Cece being Bethany Young makes alot of sense and would explain how Bethany knew Alison..And we know that Jessica had an affair with Bethany's dad which could be scott...
I feel like the mirror thing is so strange ecpecially in the recent episodes she is my favorite liar but I don't know...just seems shaky

The problem I have with Wren being Charles, and I have always believed he was A, is that Charles was seen with long hair brushed back at the fake-o prom the girls threw and Wren has always had short hair. I suppose he could have grown it out, but I think that's unlikely.
This theory is all kinds of crazy and fucking...just wow! But tbh basically anything is possible when it comes to PLL. Plus there were some really valid points/ proof to this theory being true. I guess we'll just have to wait 'till 6x10! Can't wait.
Side note I also think Wren is Charles/ big A or at least plays a massive part to this whole "A game".

I love this theory because I believe it to....I just think that Charles and Bethany mom is Aunt Carol....that is why Mrs. D kept him in her house and why she visited him at Radley. I do believe Wren and Bethany are brother and siater and Wren accent is FAKE!! He never had tht British up bringing!! But love the overall theory!!

have any of you guys considered Mike?? What if he wanted his family to move. so him an Mona teamed up to split up the liars. Mona made Alison go away. it was from then on that the liars tore apart. Arias family moved to Iceland. Or maybe mike has always loved Mona and wanted revenge on the girls for bulling her. Aria has always had the least traumatic times. Except from the train which we know was Wilden. Ella and byron split up as well. Maybe thats what pushed mike to do the things he did. I Marlene king said that we have seen A in episode 1 season 1. what if Charles is just a name to a face. When the face is actually Mike

Well I don't think that wren is charles. Marlene said he won't come back to the show. The actor is busy with another show(or movie I can't remember) but apart from that it's a nice theory

There's picture references of twin boys in the Montgomery family including one where Byron is holding a photo album and on top right there is a picture of twin boys .. this reminded me of the video spencer found of Jessica with twin boys and a baby in her arms ... or was it Mary?? Maybe Byron has a twin? Didn't we see a scene where mike signed in to the visitor book at radley?? To see his uncle maybe???
Plus wren never went to rosewood so what significance would that prom have to him? He's not Charles

+Dana Fo I think because her dad's mental illness is getting sicker and something happened to they're mom so they got fostered and adopted, bethany is taken by the Young family, and Wren/Charles got adopted by a british family

I hAve seen a lot of theories that say that during the year that the Montgomery's apparently went to Iceland, Aria was actually in Radley for MPS. The fact that she has panic attacks frequently, and is regularly saw watching her reflection points to some kind of mental disorder, also with her family background. Then there's the proof behind the typed patient sheet. The fact that Eddie Recognised her at Radley when she was volunteering. ( also a reference to her link to wren, they both volunteered at radley ) personally, also I think her alternativeness and obvious seperate style to most of rosewood and the liars could also be significant
She volunteered in the art therapy department to get information on bethany
Robert Cushingberry she didn't yet but spoilers say she will because of a breakdown or something like that
