All I know about Iris, they like the top of the rhizome a bit above the ground, and a lot of sun. My mom had a huge area with several beautiful colors. The garden has been shaded out by a huge tree, I just noticed there aren't nearly as many now. I plan to move every single one, really hoping we get a good 2 - 3 days straight rain.

Tip: get some sulfur and dip the cut sides into it for extra fungus/bacteria protection when dividing them. Also helps with overly acid soils.

Super helpful to see the root development of the iris! I just put some in the ground last fall, so it’s all new to me with bearded irises!
