I'm getting a quest on Tuesday and I want to get this because I've been disabled for almost a year now. Thank you for this video it has been very helpful
I just bought one for my adult son. He’s been a quadriplegic for 25 years. Can’t wait to set it up. Do you know if he can control it for walking in Wander. He can move his arms through shoulder movements but can’t do buttons he can’t move fingers. I thought by strapping on hand control and setting it he could control his walk.
I'm disabled too. I've done a lot of research and there is quite a lot for disabled people like me, who had a stroke 10 years ago and doesn't have functional use of my left hand. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am!
Thanks for sharing tips. I’m conducting classes with senior citizens to show them the fascinating world of VR and the wonderful wander app. I love the town of Nice and have been there twice. It’s an amazing place to live. Merci beaucoup
Good option when you have no money for traveling :(. Also is it 3D so you feel like you are there or just 2D feeling like you looking at screen ? (I have oculus quest)
It really is a wild app. I actually had to take myself away from it for awhile because I kept going back to places I have good and sad memories in and I just felt all those emotions over again since I felt like I was actually there. Shits wild but I’m glad I can travel to these places with this headset since I can’t with my shitty car
Hi, loving your reviews. Very natural, honest and informative. Thank you! I would love to know if Kuramathi Island resort (Maldives) is on wander? Thank you again
Its not a bad start for hollodeck tech. in 40 years for sure. The problem is, it doesn't load fast enough nor have a good enough user interface. there is no graphical acceptance of when you click somewhere.. no confirmation and its a bit boggy, but It does show others a non gamer user for vr. its great tech. I use it on occasion for showing people places they used to live, or grow up etc..
Can you explain to me why the view inside my Oculus Quest 2 headset is so large that I feel as though I'm floating in mid air rather than standing on the ground? I notice that things appear 'normal' in your video. Is there a setting I need to adjust to fix this? It ruins the illusion when people and buildings are so much larger than in reality and the ground is far below me.
@@vr_gamer.814 it's because they use a camera on top of the car when they drive around to get the photos and that's why it makes you feel like you're so high in the air.
Thanks for the tips. I might suggest you stop scanning while giving instructions because it’s more difficult to follow. Remember your giving instructions not a tour. Your controller doesn’t look like mine and I have an Oculus 2 and Wander must have updated as the menu looks different also.
I found maximum resolution also overheats my oculus go, never turning that option on again. Not worth it if I will potentially brick my $150 oculus go lol.
Trying to move the map out of my way and wandered did not work by clicking the trigger and holding on to it. I've tried many different combinations of everything to get to get out of my way and it ends up freezing everything and then I have to get out and get back in and do it all over again. 😭
please can you tell me how can I have the navigator apps in front of you? also, when Im searching for a place , i dont have a Go or Ok to navigate to , thanks.
J’ai passé beaucoup de temps en France. J’y vais régulièrement rentre visite à mes amis. Mon problème c’est que Wander est en anglais et ne comprend pas le français. J’ai besoin du clavier pour mettre une adresse. Comment avoir le clavier? Merci. J’ai beaucoup aimé ta vidéo.
@@xressentials Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I just brought that app and notice that it does not shows hand and pointing. Btw do you know any app in which a user can use the virtual hand to point towards a virtual/real objects? I used the RecRoom app but it does not show the finger, only shows a hand with gloves.
Thx in advance for watching. The oculus Quest Version is 95% the same, just that the quest offers more power so no need to have settings to lower resolution as much. In the video, I show you in the video where I grew up, and talk about how useful it can be as an added value app for businesses and entrepreneurs. Leave a comment below with any feedback
Would be great if they offered a FREE TRIAL version! But no.... they want TEN FRIGGIN DOLLARS for a glorified Google Earth? Guess what, GE is still my goto for this type of thing. And all I have to do is quest link to my PC.

you are welcome - a Bientot, don't forget to share the videos so we can grow the channel :)
Dont you mean Wanderful app....
I disabled and also waiting for total knee replacement so wander should great!
Yea great choice
Looks like a good app... Would be great if there was live animations
The second you said you review “practical use” I subscribed. Vr shouldn’t be all about cartoonish looking games.
Thank you and welcome to the community 😊
I just got it for my oculus 2. How do u change the years when looking at the street of where i grew up. I do see the timeline but not highlighted
would be useful if you could send a location to it from Google maps on the PC, couldn't see a way to do this.
would be great if they have vr cameras everywhere streaming live with audio, so you really feel like you are there live at these locations
Why not
Good option when you have no money for traveling :(. Also is it 3D so you feel like you are there or just 2D feeling like you looking at screen ? (I have oculus quest)
I'd say 2.5D
Hi do you know of a vr app where u can physically walk around places.
Zen Garden, VR Chat, Altspace...tons others....you need some sort of body sensors to do that, or Cybershoes.

Hi n welcome
Is there any type of travel app that is not just still photos?
Hi, loving your reviews. Very natural, honest and informative. Thank you! I would love to know if Kuramathi Island resort (Maldives) is on wander? Thank you again
If its on Google Earth it should be interesting to check that and thanks for your comment

Awesome thanks for sharing
To me it looks like google map streeview. And its free to use in vr 👍
super
Cool. Check shugarloaf mountain in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. I am from there.
Awesome
Thank you for your useful video on Wander. I am from Quebec city, Canada. Merci encore une fois. ;-)
You are very welcome - if any other videos you want me to do, please laissez moi savoir :)
Does it look better in VR than it does in the video?
Of course!
I was hoping you can just walk down the streets lol. Still amazing tho can't wait to get oculus quest
Hi thanks for watching, yea it's a very cool app. Works same on Quest no difference in graphics other than maybe pictures load a bit faster.

That's because the images are not stereoscopic 3D which is why you don't feel any depth sense...
It is because you are looking at it from the camera's view that is attached to the top of the Google car.
@@vr_gamer.814 it's because they use a camera on top of the car when they drive around to get the photos and that's why it makes you feel like you're so high in the air.

Does anyone know why you appear above ground?
hmm its VR360
How do I get rid of the large map on the main screen?
I'll have to revisit
I found maximum resolution also overheats my oculus go, never turning that option on again. Not worth it if I will potentially brick my $150 oculus go lol.
Yea the go had a lot of heating issues from 2019 onwards after many updates...a play to get people to stop buying it also I think...
It would be worth it if the app was moving. like to waves in the ocean moving.. unless google placed 360 degree web cams..
True
Can you put in a specific address?
Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦
Cool
U predicted the name change to META. Mindblown
Really?
@@xressentials Yeah.
Ur video is 2 years ago and ur saying about Meta Quest though that time there is no name change of facebook.
Thank you for the great video and for sharing your place where you grew up... hope you have a wonderful day 🙂
Thank you too

Yea things may have changed since this view was uploaded. Unfortunately I do not own a Quest.
@@xressentials what do you have? I love this quest 2.
please can you tell me how can I have the navigator apps in front of you? also, when Im searching for a place , i dont have a Go or Ok to navigate to , thanks.
Sorry I don’t have the meta headsets anymore

Should be in the Search function icon after click, the type writer will auto appear.
How can I go under water to see marine life ?
only if available in street view I imagine
does this app show a virtual hand, like pointing toward a particular object?
no it doesnt

Is there a better clarity viewing this from the Quest than the GO?
It was faster loading maps in quest but clarity more less same

After you have 9 folders or pics how do you navigate to click on them? They are buried on the screen
that's a tough question, sorry I don't have Wander anymore, no able to check it for you
Does it show the locations in real time?
They update monthly apparently
@@xressentials Thank you.
Just one question: Can you zoom in on the Google Street View images like if you want to try to read a street sign or something?
As per the video :) unless there was an update.
take me to tibet please, or adams bridge, or mahaswamipurim india thanks
can you go under the water in yona gumi/ i am from usa riverside california
Thx for suggesting
I hoped you could walk around properly even if it removed all the people/cars etc. Sadly it's basically a paid version of google maps.... =\
How did you capture the Oculus images and transfer to youtube?
mmm...I would have to see how to do that and get back to you
@@xressentials Thanks - look forward to that.
Video will be posted in the next few days as part of a new 8 part mini series of the updated home tour environment
Comment ça va ? X)
All good - merci 😎
These places need video exposure in a short 10 min video recorded environment to be really immersive
did u see the latest uploaded video?
@@xressentials No, il go search for it
Can i use this app on a device other than oculus?
nop not Wander atm
@@xressentials Kk 🙂
could I do Google Earth?
Not with the Go no.
Salut tu connais un câble link compatibile quest' 5 m
Try Party Link, moi g Anker + CableCreations extension
The sound is so bad I can't listen to it. It seems like the bass is too high and it echos.
Thx for the feedback, sound is fine using iPhone not sure what device u using - in any case recent videos mic has changed FYI 👍

ghana in africa
how is this better than google earth?
Its not better as you can't fly but Google Earth is not available on Quetst or Go...
@@xressentials oh I see! thanks - thought I was missing something lol
You are welcome, maybe I will do a video to compare the two.
You can use google earth via pcvr, but the graphics are way to streched out and there are many glitches in the 3d models.
it is most certainly not any better than the free Google Earth. Not even a little bit.
Good grief! Hold still! Your head is swaying so much, it’s impossible to read what’s on screen or see what buttons you’re pushing.
Thx for the feedback
first comment and first like
Thx @Sky Bro, are there any topics you want me to talk about?
@@xressentials no not that I can think of but can I friend you on oculus for quest mine is parzival120
