G'day, Great video, I am taking delivery of my XRV750 RD07A ( 1997) in May, I run 35 litre Givi Canyon soft bags on my GSA1250 Trophy and been on many trios around Australia with them, love apart losing one the handles that tore off.my question is I am wanting to purchase crash bars like your because they look like they protect the upper half on the body work, can let me know where you purchased them from? Many thanks

Hey there. Glad to hear that you’re getting an AT! I got the bars from heavyduties which is a company in Romania. They were very helpful on my purchase but I am not happy with the finish quality of bars. I always keep my bike in the garage dried all the time and they already have rust spots on their weld joins. I have a GIvi crash bar on my Transalp for about 7 years now and they have had not a spot of rust on them. So I am not sure how long this one will last.
Regarding the protection they are really good as I dropped my bike one day and the bar took all the blunt without any damage other than a few scratches on the bar. Plus the design is good to protect the upper fairing.
At the moment I have coated the bar with ACF50 rust spray which might help. Another option would be to respray it with a better protection paint.
Good luck with your AT and let me know what solution you decided to go with.

Thanks heap for your swift reply, yes I would prefer nickel plating same as the BMW crash bars or black powder coated. I will keep you up with my AT
