    I had a RD 04, then a RD07 in those days. Sold it with 187 000 kms on the clocks. Years later, after a 1200 GSA, a T7, I'm back on a RD07.
Weak spots are, fuel pump, regulators, that's about it. Changed the original exhaust for an Arrow pipe. And no, it is not for sale, even if prices are going up on those.
    Ride safe.

Fix whatever needs fixing. If it's not costing you, keep it. Don't sell it. I've had mine for 11 years, but it's not moved for the last 3. I got it started last week with the 3rd press of the starter. Yes, they need a bit of maintenance, but they are getting old. Parts are readily available in the UK. Good luck and safe riding.

One of my moto friends has one of those, I think from 98. Last Saturday was a nice ride on the EN 222, EN 2 and EN 103. Which you were there 😊.

In the marketplace i still see them, but the prices are pretty insane for an old bike.

Any suggestions for updates? Spring rear suspension. New fork front? Foot pegs. Restyle Lightning rear. Hand protect. Clutch and break. Other. This will be for offroad, so any great ideas you came across would be interesting 👍

I've seen guys who put projector beams in the africa twin and looks great. But even LED bulbs will help. I think a centerstand would be the most helpful thing. Ohlins suspension would be a dream. And get a facet pump installed instead of the stock.

The original was totally different.650cc built in '88 and '89. Then there was the RDO4 750cc and only then did your version crop up. In fact they were based on the NXR 750 race bike which had a kickstart. That was the mid to late eighties. They won the Paris Dakar several times in a row. I have a RDO4 marathon version.

You said getting parks in the US is easier than in Europe. Where? I have a RD07 in Canada and nothing is available in NA that I have found. Where are you getting parts?

Don't forget the price! My 1989 Suzuki GSX750F cost me 2000 Euros. She has 32000 km and just purrs... She's not good on consumption either, but let's face it, you're not buying a 750+ with fuel consumption in mind!! And, as I say, the entry price for 80s/90s bikes is so low...
