Have the player been previously set before and now its lock? if so then go to setting and system steering initialize it. Second, check if the handbrake wire is grounded. At the back of the headunit, you should see a green wire that has a label prk sw. That wire has to be grounded or in other words, connected to any part of the car's metal body. hope this helps.
@@wonxilang327 the player has a green wire with the label “prk brake”. Needs to connect to handbrake. If this wire is not connected, then you cannot enter the setting to set the steering controls
@@blacksundaywkw3193 hi, i have the same kenwood 9 series, the steering wheel is not working to my old Steering wheel control (Pajero sport 2015 model) the steering wheel option is not grayed out, it can access but when i tried to set it up, it doesnt show/appear any options to assign with the Steering buttons, im thinking if i will need an can bus interface,

there is a green wire labeled prk wire....you have to connect that wire to ground in order to enable the settings
