It's a shame this thing doesn't have a newer version of Android on it. Though that seems to be a recurring theme with VoIP phones with a built-in tablet.
Chris, have you looked at the Akuvox video/RFID/SIP doorphone lineup? We've tested their R20A compact unit with our hosted sip provider's network and it works great. The suggested retail price of the R20A is under $250.00
nice video, we have got a few of these at work. One thing I am struggling with is action on incoming call. What I want to do is pull up a CCTV feed on incoming call when a certain number calls (its a door phone). You got any ideas
Did a big mistake we move from Cisco phone to Yealink Teams phone... When Internet goes down so does Teams or if Microsoft are having issues with Teams App the phone won't work. It's been a nightmare. Also the support is so bad, the only support we get from MS is a website... Can't call them all we have it's a website and wait until they fix the issue. Also for this you need a good bandwidth since you are using audio and video. Check first before moving to this phone.
Hi, new to Teams and Yealink, I'd like to know how to get the process of the Transfer on Conference Hang Up on the actual phone, buttons pressed etc...
The door phone list is so when you’re on a call with the door phone, these options are available. For instance, If you don’t put the “unlock” pin code on this menu, it’s not available to open the door during the call. You can put in a more secure code on the phones and the door station and then your staff doesn’t have to remember a code or even know what it is, they can just hit the “open door” button instead. On the Grandstream system, it’s the GDS menu. Same thing.
Hi I saw in some videos that the t58A comes pre-installed with Teams, is it possible to load other apps like the one you have in the video when Teams is already pre-loaded? thanks
How is it at getting through a list of numerous Voicemails. I often have to answer >100 Voicemail messages. Being able to click on a name / number to call the person back is a nice feature, as is being able to download a Phone book to the phone.
Chris! you should make a video about the NanoSwitch, I only found one on youtube and its a year old. I'm sure it might be disappointing for many people once they buy it, for starters is not really plug and play on a 8-150W ubiquiti switch anyway (the port needs to be set up on unifi first to 24v that is). G3 FLEX cameras are not supported (it even might damage the camera) , a G3 Pro and AC HD connected together to the NanoSwitch won't work, too much power consumption, if the 8-150W ubiquiti switch happens to have most POE ports connected to POE devices and you connect the Nanoswitch to it to power 2 G3 Dome cameras on the other end at 45 feet away from the ubiquiti 8-150w switch the Nanoswitch will power on but no the Domes (you need to use POE adapter to power the NanoSwitch and turn off the POE 24v port on the Ubiquit 8-150w first, even though having the NanoSwitch suppose to deal with all of this by default, it doesn't)... things of these nature that become a headache when you have to find out on your own...Im sure I'd be really happy if you could make a thorough review about it, will be highly appreciated. Thank you!! your videos are great!! You are my Ubiquiti video source, please add this one about the NanoSwitch to the library :)
A coworker of mine has been tasked with getting this to work with Teams but can’t figure out how to get it to use our proxy for authentication to Teams...
We use the teams version without the camera and it works great. Currently waiting for the cameras to come in. The literature says this one has built in wi-fi, but we haven't been able to get that working yet.
Don't buy do a research before moving to this phone, in our organization we use Telemed services and it's bad. A lot of echo and if Teams App it's down so is the phone.
@@CrosstalkSolutions They work fine with Asterisk. Probably only change needed is to enable video support in SIP.conf if you want video support. I do have mine working with the GS door phone. Haven't had time to try video calls over SIP yet.
My favorite phone, I like you say find it handy if you want to use it as a Video Intercom interface. You can even purchase the model without the camera and still view video compared to other Yealink products with no video codec support but so much screen potential. I use it with the Axis Door-station all the time. One of the best VoIP phones on the market by far.
"hey man, yank out your phone and take my times. I want to get fit", "Sure, I'll just get my phone"... proceeds to run 100 m Cat6 from rack and plugs his office sip phone in, "I'm ready man!"
Having Android 5.1.1 is something begging for malware and basically unacceptable. What ? You need to pay for H264 and use 263 otherwise, both of which are inferior to 265 ? What a pile of horseshit !!
It is uterly useless for business. Does not work with Business Google Products. G Suite (Google Workspaces) are not supported at all. You cannot download any apps on this thing. It is uterly useless for business.
Chris, I love it when you just chunk the empty boxes and manuals on the floor!!
I believe the word you are looking for is chuck.
I got excited when I saw the stopwatch because that might be convenient for project time tracking.
It's a shame this thing doesn't have a newer version of Android on it. Though that seems to be a recurring theme with VoIP phones with a built-in tablet.
Its a security issue imo. These versions of android are no longer supported and dont receive any form of security patches.
ikkuranus yeah, I agree with you. Its the same like with the Ubiquiti UVP Phones. Great Devices but I dont Unterstand why they don’t push an Update.

Great job on this, Chris!!
thanks man, looks like the peace of gear I need for my Dental Clinic :)

Looking forward to the video door station video
Are there any other video door stations that work with this phone?
Tons!

I need help with the intercom features. Do you have any videos about intercom?
Thanks for the info Chris! Wondering if you have any experience with the Aiphones and this model of Yealink with Hosted cloud pbx? Thanks
Couldn’t find a single video on how to upload your own wallpaper to T67LTE. Please help
Good morning, On my T58A it says only to log in to Microsoft Teams. How do you set it up to be like your regular SIP phone?
@Crosstalk Solutions : would you create a video regarding the dog barking and how is actually implemented?
how do you record in call audio, how did you get to that GUI? I IP'd into the device and the GUI looks different.
I wonder if this phone has closed caption???

Thanks - great demo.
Do you have a link for the phone the camera and that doorbell?
Your shirt is awesome!

Better idea would be to use the FreePBX User Control Panel. It’s a GUI for managing your voicemails.
Can this be used with a AT&T phone sim chip ?
Does any door phone work with the yealink 58A? or is the axis A8105-e the one you recommend for using a door phone
id like to order camera
Is there an easy way to purchase this phone on your website? Seemed confusing to me.

How funny - I was actually planning on doing a video on the NanoSwitch today.
Looks like they are very nice phones. The only concern would be the USB-based camera. Can that be secured to the device?
No, I have one in the lab at VoIP Supply.
Will this phone work with Google voice?
It appears these are not compatible with the FreePBX Endpoint Manager.
this is android based, but can you add apps from the play store?
Cool, thanks for your video!
I am currently using the phone with Microsoft Teams.
Crestron Flex????? I thought this phone looked familiar!
A coworker of mine has been tasked with getting this to work with Teams but can’t figure out how to get it to use our proxy for authentication to Teams...
Have you used this with Microsoft Teams? I was about to buy it but am currently checking out review videos to see if it looks good or not.

What is the doorbell cam model? And would it work on 3CX?
Axis A8105-E - and yes it would work with 3CX.
This is listed as a Bluetooth option on my Apple Watch but I don’t have one….
Does the Yealink T58A compatible with 3CX ?
Yea - absolutely...
Yes, 100%, use the firmware asked for, it works.
I would recommend checking out the grandstream gxv3370
That’s a big NO to Grandstream devices. Not 100% compatible with FreePBX.

how can I sideload apk's like zoom or skype
1:42 What _everyone_ in the world does with the quick start guides... Hahahah!!
Can u replace the corded handset with a blue-tooth one??
Yes
The camera fly
Can I install any Android apps on this phone?
I haven't tried this yet. Stay tuned. Maybe Chris can test and let us know
Funny and. Few years later - I just picked up 6 for $40 each

To bad they're manufactured in China. With all the cyber issues we are specifying mainly US based network gear.
that's no phone, that's a TV with a phone attached to it
Android tablet strapped to handset

who buys such antiquated junk
Might be useful in a small to medium sized business.
I bet all the Millennials are moaning the fact that it can't play any popular videogames.
