- Unboxing the Razer Phone. The first phone from Razer simply titled "Razer Phone". The Razer Phone features several smartphone firsts including the first 120Hz display and the likely the best speakers ever on a smartphone. The Razer Phone also features a Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB Ram and dual 12-megapixel cameras (one wide, one telephoto). Positioned as a gaming smartphone I think the Razer Phone will have mass appeal. It's got a simple matte black design and solid build. Razer was able to pack the fingerprint scanner into the frame as a combo power/lock/fingerprint switch. This unusual implementation proves to be quite convenient. The display isn't as bright as OLED and the camera app leaves something to be desired but the overall package is quite compelling. I'll be inserting my SIM into the Razer Phone and using it as my new daily driver for a while.

I don't think that the Razer Phone has much mass-market appeal. Besides, iPhones already fill that area, powerful hardware that most people never use to it's full extent.

The iPhone X uses $370 of hardware and only has 3GB of RAM, not exactly powerful hardware. It fits barely into mid range phones, less powerful than my $80 chinese tablet.

The design is similar to sony xperia phones as well as the finger print intergrated on the power button on the side. But looking at the specs and 120 Hz, this phone is mind blowing.

I'm more into newer devices with less to no bezel. But at the top and bottom on this device makes perfect sense, as it is keeping the gamer in mind. And the speed and specs. Fugidaboudit! Great device.
All that for 699, and that includes a fast charger, which for apple adds about 100 bucks. So nice to see true innovation which hopefully pushes all other phones to do the same and at a good price.

People like you give mobile gaming a bad rep, but when a company wants to up the ante on mobile gaming to a more console like experience you still shit on it. I wouldn't use this for gaming but productivity, social media and audio/video playback I would and the price vs. spec is very appealing for that alone.

I doubt they'll do any other colors. Razer's products have a history of using only matte black finishes on all their products(with the occasional green accents here and there, and maybe RGB lighting).

After looking into the specs myself and looking into mant reviews including your own, I bought the Razer Phone and let me say I LOVE IT! I could have afforded the Asus Phone and the newer gaming phones that came out a few months afterward and I know that in some aspects they do outperform the Razer but the advantage is so minimal those advantages aren't that impressive considering that the Razer Phone was the first to do any of this and the others already knew what to go for taking Razer as a reference or start point... Again I am LOVING this phone and I have zero complaints I've heard from others, from it's vibration to it's camera to it's buttons or it not being waterproof
The buttons are very clicky, I sometimes click them just for the hell of it! The vibration is actually pretty good, no problems whatsoever, the camera is a bit behind the newer phones but it's not actually bad, it just isn't on par with the top dogs now, it's on par with phones maybe that came out a year before the Razer, but it's not bad at all, and no it isn't waterproof, but why would that matter anyway? If you're doing something around water chances are you probably don't want your phone on you anyway
This is an amazing phone I will continue to use for a VERY long time

Actually the iPhone X has a touch input refresh rate of 120 Hz. So while it does not have the same theoretical max FPS. The input experience is on the same level of the iPad Pro and now the Razer phone.

Reclusive Eagle just because a screen is 120hz doesn't mean the time to refresh the monitor is great. My old 60hz had a 2ms refreshrate, while some 120hz monitors were 5ms

I was disappointed at first when Nextbit got bought by Razer, but the design team definitely used the robin as a building block. I'm very impressed with what they were able to accomplish, I hope the phone sells really well.

I literally bought the phone because of this video. Really sick of spending money on iPhones and just not getting the best product. This Razer phone is an amazing phone, battery life is incredible. Display is wild colorful.

Brainiax260 not quite sure what makes you say that. Phone works great, battery life is way better, the side unlock button is super convenient. Besides that the gameplay looks amazing a huge difference from this phone and the iPhone 8 if that the Razer doesn't heat up during gameplay. Literally ditched my iPhone 8 and don't regret it at all.
