I took my dirty fingers pickups out and put in pearly gates , best thing i ever did . Also fitted a treble bleed and completely gutted pots and wiring , made my les paul 70's tribute (£599) and made it in to the greatest guitar i own and now have 10 guitars sat at home doing nothing
I duuno, a BOSS graphic EQ pedal can make your original pickups sound exactly how you'd want them to be.
