BBC Cricket: 1998 NatWest Trophy Final Preview

David Gower hosts the BBC's preview programme to the 1998 NatWest Trophy Final.
David Lloyd, then England coach, is the studio guest. This is the week after England had suffered a thumping loss to Sri Lanka and Lloyd had made some unfortunate comments about Muttiah Muralitharan, leading to the discussion at the start of the programme.
Who would have thought that less than a year later Gower and Lloyd would be beginning a 20-year-long working relationship at Sky.
One other name to look out for in the closing credits is Stephen Lyle - he is now back at BBC Sport as the Executive Producer for the television coverage for 2020 and beyond, as cricket returns to the BBC.
