  • Dan Doctoroff, Target ALS founder and chairman, talks about why he personally got involved in trying to find a cure for this debilitating disease. He's on "The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations." This was recorded Sept. 13. Doctoroff is the former CEO of Bloomberg LP. He currently serves on the board of Bloomberg Philanthropies.

    I lost a friend to the same disease, and I was wondering, precisely like Dan, why the progress is so slow to cure this thing. Hopefully, his foundation will be successful. I love his optimism a lot.

    So sad to hear about his disease.my condolences are with him and his family.he is such an incredible human and i watched his interview completely and got inspired.i learn a lot of things from his life,career,passion and now the way "of accepting the harsh reality of life which is obviously the death".may he live longer.my best wishes and prayers are with him.lot of love from pakistan❤️

    How or when you die doesn't matter much compared to how you lived. Here is certainly a remarkable man who has lived and accomplished a lot and will probably accomplish more. I wish him well .
