@@raktul3697 Personally, I disagree with that. The story has always been a bit on the optimistic side of things. Understandable since it’s a show for kids. Remember when Lapis took away the whole ocean, and just dropped it after Steven healed her gem? In real life, that would have probably left a whole crater wherever she dropped it, and resulted in multiple tsunamis across the globe, one of which would have annihilated Beach City. But it didn’t, because that would have been the bad kind of realism. You know, the kind that unceremoniously kills your entire cast. Same thing with things like the Cluster and the Injector. The earthquakes caused by the Cluster starting to form would have probably killed a number of people. And with how big it was supposed to be when fully formed (only a bit smaller than the Earth, presumably), if it makes a hand, then the palm of said hand should probably be around the size of Beach City itself. But it wasn’t, because then it would likely immediately crush the Diamonds’ ship, and most likely Beach City. And with the Injector, sure it’s a bit implausible to believe that Steven used his healing powers to heal the entire planet after the Injector exploded. But that’s what he did, because if he didn’t, a lot of the planet would be dead. And that would be bad. My main point is, I don’t think making the story darker would have made it better. Especially if that darkness came suddenly and without any precedents to ease the viewers into it. A storyline where you introduce a serial killer that goes around shattering Gems using their own technology because they lost their whole family to the Injector might be a bit interesting, but it really brings an element of darkness to the story that isn’t altogether necessary. Especially with the plot point of them dying after killing Spinel, a named and established character that the viewer has built a connection with. Furthermore, I think that darker moments in… well, *anything* should be treated with absolute care. Regardless of the usual tone. There’s a reason why only one named character (Jasper) has ever died in this show. To make it impactful. To ensure that it hits the viewers right in the feels as hard as possible when they see Jasper’s fragments in Steven’s pockets. To metaphorically glue the viewers’ eyes to the screen as they watch that scene in pure anticipation. You go dark in terms of tone in order to evoke a more visceral reaction from your audience, but there are so many ways to do it wrong. If you change the tone too suddenly, too often, without any buildup, or anything like that, you’ll end up making the story seem more shallow and difficult to properly care about. Not to say that overloading on optimism isn’t bad as well. But once again, introducing a character that is so heavily and intrinsically rooted in outright death, and permanently killing off multiple named characters is a tone shift that requires a lot of care and precision to pull off satisfyingly, and can be messed up in an obscene amount of ways. Also, I feel like the world in Steven Universe might function differently than the world here. The government sat out *a few* alien invasions, one of which never technically ended since the Corrupted Light just left a bunch of monstrosities roaming the planet. The Homeworld Gems weren’t even being subtle about their presence, so either the government just doesn’t exist, or they’ve decided to sit out on anything to do with Gemkind in general. You can’t tell me they didn’t catch the multiple times a giant arm, and one time a giant eye, casually flew in and out of orbit. Who knows? Maybe they’re just really okay with it. The humans in and outside of Beach City didn’t seem to see anything weird about the magic technicolor people hanging around in the city.
The first 23 seconds were absolute gold! That is something I'd expect to see straight up if those two actually did interact. They felt like genuine responses.
Steven would not have done this for Jack at all. Like… he isn’t just like this for everyone. Spinel was a tragic figure who was genuinely suffering, and who wanted to be better, and was doing okay up to this point. That’s why Steven was singing about change. He would not have done that for jack. The scene with jack kind of already happened with aquamarine and it was nothing like this.
bro doesnt know that in the movie he lost his powers and regained them midway the battle with spinel and also that his powers are based on his emotions

I think Aquamarine was pretty much that
Jack Horner is Dreamworks’ version of Senator Armstrong
At this point DreamWorks should just make a crossover short film
I demand a full version right now please
Steven really said "I understand😒 after everything you've been through you must be in a lot of pain💅"
He sounds so sarcastic lmaoo
"It's so cute...how you think that would work on me! Don't you know I'm dead inside? By the way, your nose is bleeding."
"Don't you know i'm dead inside?"💀
I wanna see Stevens' reaction to reverse flash. Because not only does he not want to change in the slightest, but hes an even bigger menace than Jack
Jack's the Prince of Petty, Reverse Flash is the GOD EMPEROR of Petty
Bro can literally become a giant monster and yet he always chooses to just sing 💀
bro doesnt know that in the movie he lost his powers and regained them midway the battle with spinel and also that his powers are based on his emotions
Steven you are literally a gem on top of the gem hierarchy, seen as gods, DONT SING THROW HANDS
have you even watched the movie he lost his powers by a rejuvinator something idk
@@Xabdi. i think at this point he regained them
Very good edit.
It's been awhile since I seen steven universe content on this channel, nice. :)
"...are you having a hernia or something?"
"I can make an effort~"
"Urgh."
"If I only understand~"

"I can make a promise--"
*"T h a t w a s w e i r d ."*
(uses scepter to materialize a giant fist and punch Steven)
I love how at first Jack is so confused by Steven suddenly bursting into song
As a fan of Steven universe. This is true
Jack's reaction its absolite gold
Jack Horner shows how people who have it all, still want more
And this is why Steven universe should’ve had human villains or villains that couldn’t be reasoned with.
Imagine how Death and Jack would interact if he went after him. It would be hilarious.
Steven: I can make a promise-
Jack Horner: No. You just can’t. *Jack proceeds to kill Steven*
Steven would be developed into his later Future version in time record if he fought Jack Horner in the movie lmao
Lol Steven can redeem peridot, Spinel, and even the diamonds but with Jack Horner it’s impossible
This is actually perfect.
Saying that as an old Steven Universe fan, this crossover makes me laugh
Jack is a whole mood and I love him for thet
Ah yes, hit him with good ol' GUM GUM PISTOL spell
jack is the most based character ever
“You ain’t Ben 10 your Steven 9”💀
I love how he starts breaking into telling his backstory mid song 😭😂😂
Steven from future: why you cant change like everybody else jack!!! * turns pink and screams *
0:02 main character gets back up
The villain:
I, to this day, still don't know what he was attempting to accomplish.
I replayed this vid at least 20 times. makes me laugh every time
You realize the song he’s singing in this scene is WHILE BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF SPINEL
I was just expecting the "that was weird"
We need a full version of this! 🙃
I think I prefer the meme if these two were to meet Steven tries to turn Jack good only for Jack to say: "that was weird."
This one's good too tho.
I love how the "Your nose is bleeding" is soo fitting like cmon
Steven: “I know what you are. YOU’RE A LIAR! I thought you never wanted to hurt anyone, but you hurt EVERYONE!”
Jack Horner: “What took you so long? IDIOT”
This is why I passed from loving to hating Steven universe , the biggest worst baddie ended up being a cry baby and not they menacing. I would’ve loved the final arc of the show to depict an emotionless villain , to teach kids that sometimes people can’t change and someone must act up againts them
Same dude I used to really enjoy the show but it got so repetitive like every villain was defeated the exact same way
Rebecca Sugar sucks okay
This needs to be animated
Steven: I understand
Jack: what is there to understand?
bro i fr thought of this in my head
Jack Horner shortly after:The Kid's a Good Singer....but my *GOD* he's annoying!
OH MY GOD I MISSED YOUR STEVEN UNIVERSE VIDS SO MUCH 😭
This video is perfect in every way possible
