As you've just seen, LOVEBITES are elite musicians. Their two guitarists are possibly the best guitar duo in metal today. Collectively as a band (and in terms of their musicianship), they are probably in the top three metal bands on the planet (along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X). They are the only band I've heard that do not have even a single bad song in their entire catalogue. I encourage you to continue down the LOVEBITES rabbit hole - you won't regret it.

Lovebites history :
Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

Congratulations on the competent and pleasant reaction. You still have a lot to see in a catalog of 4 albums and 2 EPs for about 60 songs. If you love guitars and you want to admire the exceptional skills of Midori and Miyako I would suggest for example the live of "Signs of Deliverance" and "Scream for Me", and the MVs of "Shadowmaker" and "When destinies Allign", but above all the most recent " Judgment Day- MV ".

The members of the band are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained as a Ballet Dancer and before joining Lovebites was a R&B and Jazz backing singer. Writes most of the Lyrics.
Midori, The Blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Guitar.
Miyako, Long Black Hair. Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. She is a classically trained pianist from age 3, only taking up the Guitar in her late teens. She writes much of the bands music.
Miho, Bass. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons. Co founder of the band, along with,
Haruna, Drums.
Miho and Haruna were both in Destrose, a Japanese band that broke up in 2015, leading to them forming Lovebites in 2016.
The new Bass player from late 2022 is Fami, only 20 at the time of joining making her the baby of the band. She has her own YT channel with nearly 700,000 subs.
Midori and Miyako are joint lead guitarists, their back and forth harmonising is a thing of beauty in my opinion.
Lovebites are named for a Hailstorm song, 'Love Bites, And So Do I'. There is a video on YT from 2019 in which Lizzy Hale invites Asami on stage. It shows just how short Asami is, she almost looks like a Hobbit alongside Lizzy.
A few personal favourite songs, Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath, Winds of Transylvania (written by Lovebites as the opening music to a crazy Japanese Anime series) Frozen Serenade, Edge of the World, Epilogue.
Whatever you may chose to listen to from these ladies, you will not be disappointed.

Good reaction! Your analysis is just fine. You had some notions of lead guitarist though, and .... they both are. There is really no dedicated rhythm guitarist, they take turn and having the lead or have it together. That the guitarists are something else is quite obvious, but even the drummer is very special. She has a big kit and she uses it all with very good dynamics. What you see here is the old basist (one of the two founders, the drummer being the other one). They now have a young prodigy that is 21 years old right now. She is not a metal bassist, but she is learning fast and being super good at bass helps. The band had an hiatus during 2022, being without bassist, covid hitting the world and the singer and one of the guitarists having babies. But, they are now back with a very high energy. Partly the new bassists doing as she is always very happy and positive. Actually, the new bassist is actually more popular than Lovebites on the net.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

The diversification is very impressive
LOVEBITES is a five-piece all-female, Japanese heavy metal band with deep musicianship (plus classical music/piano background). They transcend gender, genre, and geography, with some 60 songs in their discography. They won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band (2018), toured with Dragonforce (2019), first female Japanese band to perform at Wacken Open Air (Germany) and others in Europe, and are unusual among Japanese bands in choosing to sing in English plus good lyrics (a daunting task for native Japanese speakers).

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

Thanks for your reaction. I can recommend so many great LOVEBITES songs. These ladies are diverse in their creativity (different genres of metal, a little hard rock, classical music). But I just suggest you check out the song which I think is one of the best among all the LOVEBITES songs. This song is called 'Dystopia Symphony'. The song is dedicated to the Great German composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Unfortunately, it is very rarely checked by Reactors because there is no video of this song being performed at a concert. There is only audio. But I think you, as a musician, will be interested in checking out and evaluating 'Dystopia Symphony'. This is a metal masterpiece of the highest standard, born under the influence of classical music.

Thanks for taking a listen to LOVEBITES. I’m sure most of the comments are “best” this and “most” that as usual. The fans can be a bit hyperbolic. That said, this is a great band that primarily plays power and thrash metal. This song is highly reminiscent of “Wolf and Raven” by Sonata Arctica, and LOVEBITES has a handful of songs that are in the same vein as “Holy War.” What you said about Asami, the vocalist, is well spotted. She doesn’t really nail the second extended belt toward the end of the song, but she knows it and cuts it off before it starts to go wrong. Also, I think person for person, LOVEBITES is the shortest band I listen to.
Its always good when an artist can identify their limits and not let ego get in the way, shows experience. Care to elaborate on "shortest band"
@@VacancyCrowning Sure! Haruna, the drummer, has confirmed that she’s 4’ 9” and blonde guitarist Midori has confirmed that she’s 4’ 11”. The other members haven’t confirmed their height that I’m aware of, but the tallest is believed to be Fami, the new bass guitarist, who is believed the stand 5’ 3”. On average, I think they’re shorter than any other band I’m aware of.

And you just started in the lovebites world, they keep moving forward with 2020, 2021 and then 2023 live, then you could see nemophila, lovebites the best and then nemophila. Lovebites the best metal band today.

I disagree with previous comments on but one point. I’d drop the word “metal”from “best band on the planet”.
I began supporting LOVEBITES over three years ago and part of my evening routine here in the U.K. (I know, I can only apologise…) is to search “LOVEBITES” and filter by “date added” and “today”. I then see at least one reaction most evenings, with very few exceptions. I used to watch them all, and gave a “like” whether I did or not because that channel is helping my favourite band of all time (I’m 64).
Nowadays however I watch far fewer reactions per session because I’ve become used to how some of them are presented and too many just want me to help them, not the band they are reacting to.
You my friend are a very rare exception to this trend. Within a few seconds I knew I would like this reaction and you focused all your attention on the task at hand, reacting to a piece of music by musicians who you have never seen or heard before. The pauses were all on point and constructive. You explained things very clearly for people such as myself who have no musical experience, only an ear for excellence. It won’t surprise you that I picked up on the virtuosity of LOVEBITES within the first 30 seconds of this very song (I can’t be certain that it was Holy War but the more I try and remember the more logical it seems…this song has introduced probably 75% of all listeners to the band).
Thank you for an informative, well presented and clear explanation of what you thought of the band, the individual musicians and their music. I can honestly tell you that there is almost no point reacting to another band until you have exhausted LOVEBITES catalogue because they have no peers. However I understand that I am just a tiny bit biased. More LOVEBITES please. I won’t recommend any particular song because there is not a single dud in their 56 songs to date…seriously. There is a huge selection of live performances to choose from and no, I don’t think that some with poor sound quality are best avoided. LOVEBITES through a bad mix still sound better than anyone else, living or dead.
I really appreciate the support, and you taking the time out to type this. Even without hearing the band, I would know they are something special because of the support they have. It’s a community and for that they have my utmost respect. Thank you so much

I am an old Spanish wolf, and honestly, I am in awe of these girls, I still remember that distant 1978, when I was waiting in front of the record store for the latest Rainbow or AC/DC album and now, after a thousand years later and with the transformation of heavy metal into something dark, pessimistic, sometimes unpleasant, I find myself with these wonderful women, incredible and beautiful artists, full of sympathy and positive energy, who transmit joy of life and hope, who have filled my heart with joy. I cant stop watching and enjoying them; I have forgotten the old bands with their old musicians who repeat their old songs over and over again; I just want to hear, see and feel these masters of heavy metal music. And special mention to the most beautiful and talented singer in the world, my beloved Asami, the goddess before whose feet I bow.

One, most but not all Lovebites songs are live because they are amazing live. But their studi vids tend to be very epic as well. Two, I say this all the time. There are no bad Lovebites songs. There are just songs you like better. Three. Almost everyone seems to do Holy Wars first. Not exactly sure why. When I see a content creator reacting to Holy Wars, I am pretty sure it's the first time they ever heard Lovebites. LOL. It's a great song but to me, it is one of their most "vanilla" songs. And it great song to do first to get a "base" feel for the band. But as you expand your exposure to them, most people find this is sort of a basic song for their style. For me anyway.
Oh, Midori, the real fast guitar player. Only started playing guitar when she was 20. Miako, the other guitarists will play classical piano in some songs.
