In this moment in time as a Santana fan was amazed with the material he created. He was collaborating a lot & more less a solo career for a bit. Man he was on fire though, this song just rips through your body you just feel pure joy. Carlos Santana is & will always be king guitar. 😎
That yamaha is so awesome. My friend and myself got to play one of his owned Yamaha SG's that was sold at Freedom Guitars. Unfortunately we were in high school at the time and had no jobs to buy such an awesome guitar 🙌🏻🎸 That Sustain tho ....lol
Saw this band 1978 in germany. Saw them et least 10 times the last 30 jears.but this was by fare the best concert.the guitarsound was incredible.the band was outstanding.Mister Santana was at the top of his carriere.
What a superb album Oneness is...grossly underrated...I wonder why Santana does not play the numbers from this album in his concerts. There is a certain "Indian-ness" in this album like that of Swing of Delight which we Indians love and can identify with. I really wish and hope that Santana comes up with a Raga based album with the likes of L Subramaniam, Zakir Hussain etc. It would be wonderful to hear Santana's melodic, meditative interpretation of Raga/s. Santana is the only guitarist who with his tremendous grasp and liking of Indian music will be able to do justice to it.
From Caravanserai and and onward through his more spiritual and jazz influenced career, Carlos produced some truly spectacular and moving music. Oneness was truly a highlight.
he always does a great version of anything. dont get stuck on the original. love this one. this is about as progressive jazz rock fusion as you will ever find
Tremenda pieza. Aunque el disco salió en 1979, yo la escuche por primera vez al inicio de los 2000s, quedé en shock cuando la escuché. Mi favorita de Santana.
That Yamaha/Boogie combo is the best lead guitar sound ever. Carlos' meditational songs are always amazing, Aquamarine is a great one!

Tom Coster’s ARP ODYSSEY is really missing on this song. The flute shouldn’t play on it... this is not in the moods
