Sifu Sergio discovers a unique branch of wing chun on the Island of Cebu,a lineage that came directly from Fukien Provence China to the philippines www.sifusergio.com
That was one of the best dummy forms I've ever seen! Great rhythm and energy, very inspiring performance! And your posture is very good in this video! Thank you!
Percival was my classmate in Cebu Institute of Technology when i was in college. I saw his wingchun tshirt during class when we were college classmates so I asked where he learned wingchun from, then one day i went to their practice i met percival's wingchun Grandmaster Palil Madrona, a really nice guy, very humble & soft spoken grandmaster, very friendly & motivative to his students, shake hands with GM Madrona and trained wingchun & got some good wingchun info from him. GM palil madrona lineage was from grandmaster Yuen Kay Shan and not from Ip Man.
The lineage of this wing chun is Leung Kay San. I know that guy..and his classmate in wingchun was my teacher. I want to share my little knowledge in wingchun for those interested. I'm in San Juan Manila.
Kulang rin sa defensa ang wing chun pag napatumba kana kaya gumawa si Bruce Lee ng Jeet Kune Do ito ay pinag sama na Wing Chun, Boxing at Chinese Martial Arts
greetings from Wing Chun Davao, the first wing chun school in mindanao, my sifu is under the linages of sifu Ip Man, Wong Sheun Leung and Wan Kam Leung...
thanks for sharing and enlightening us, sifu Sergio & brother Percy ^^; the times are different now and opportunities like this don't come often. may you have more blessings! ^^
Great video Sergio, This shows the vast variety of the Wing Chun system. It appears in the differences with technics and forms. The Chum Kiu form is very interesting and shows lots of jing energy. Can you tell me if they understand the concepts of traditional angular footwork or central line or are they more centerlie straight forward
@G6600 Percival didn't answer the question; I think he was hesitant to state the name because the teacher practiced in secrecy for such a long time. The lineage was researched by Sifu Sergio while he was in Cebu. After watching the forms he now has a clearer picture of where it comes from. Very exciting! :)
Those people who want to learned Wing Chun Martial Art.. My Advice is self-learning key for learning wing chun by youself Research, Know the history of Wing Chun.. I'm Joseph learning wing chun I build my own wooden dummy, I have two reference book for wing chun.. Practising 116 technique in wooden dummy everyday and my bridge-arm is getting stronger. same as my punches.
@Yongchundaiquan The original Yuen Kay San dummy form performs it this way. Just a note on the form: The term is "sticky". You stick to the dummy hands. That is just an alternative way of viewing things. My Si-Fu has done extensive WC research. They "break up" the form for demonstration or video purposes sometimes. People should understand that there are many lineages and many personal interpretations. That is why one should look beyond the typical/obvious and get to the bottom of things.
I'm interested in learning the fujian white crane fist, the martial arts where wing chun and karate came from.. If there is anyone in Cebu who is teaching the system, let me know :D
@thearcher149803 Since you have nothing better to do all day; why don't you review the other comments I make on other videos and tell me if my grammar is up to your standard? And also tell me if I should have a different opinion, OK? I'm glad you've decided to become my personal secretary, and you work for free too, thats great!
louij catane his wing Chun is inadequate. It shows in the video. He ends up with sifu Sergio... In my opinion he would have done better with another teacher. Also there is no ground fighting in wing Chun.
Is in Iwka Wing Chun school, are all of the student are ... you know like 15 + or is it for all ages 15 - 15 + ??? cause i'm gonna summer karate and i'm from cebu sorry for my grammar
if you combine both styles wing chun with filipino panantukan you would be deadly.both are very similar in characteristics and styles are very alike.hey sifusergio have you heard of filipino panantukan?
Anybody, somebody Filipino knows to combined wing chun & silat martial art in real fight.. I do know how to combined wing chun and silat martial in a real fight. Joseph a Filipino. Wing Chun student. self-learning
Please come here in Davao del sur Digos City, i'll provide shelter and Food. please train US for free because we can't afford instructor payments. but yet we are so hungry to learn Wing Chung.
haha, yeah I agree. That's why all trolls do it. Everything else they've tried has failed, so they try to diminish the esteem of others to attempt to artificially boost their own. Of coarse they only do so from the safety of their home while hiding behind anonymity.
@thearcher I have seen many videos of dummy forms, but the way Percival preforms it in this video is very inspiring, he does it with very good rhythm and energy. Besides it is an interesting sequence that is not that common. Maybe it was an exaggeration to say the "best" but I have a right to my opinion, and a right to encourage someone w/ my comments. What do you care? Like I said before; YOU HAVE NO VIDEOS, Percival and I both have videos, all you have is pathetic complaining POST SOMETHING!!
@thearcher149803 Lol, I am not offended. I think your comments are very amusing. And actually since you are not capable of posting any videos of yourself, why not favorite a dummy video that you think is preformed better? Like I said Percival preforms it very inspirationally in this video, why does that bother you so much? Jealousy maybe? If you posted some videos of your own maybe you would have less time to worry about other peoples' videos and the friendly comments they receive.
@warstate12 I've heard of one in Bulacan and one in Laguna and one planning to open in Makati. But why don't you come to Cebu? We have very interesting developments in Wing Chun. There are four of us who are private students of Grandmaster Sergio Iadarola :)
@TheSingingBrothers56 There is more than one Wing Chun master in Cebu. Most of them choose not to be in the spotlight. Some of them teach in their own homes and are very meticulous about the kind of student they teach to.
@thearcher149803 I'm merely making observations about your behavior and questioning your motives. I didn't use any bad words or threaten to fight you. But you on the other hand seem to be very upset and now you want to "show me a thing or two" like some kind of tuff guy. What kind of martial artist are YOU? You can type all day but you can't post a video to prove me wrong? All you keep doing is inspecting each comment I make and looking for something new to argue about, very sad indeed.
@thearcher149803 On RUclips posting your videos shows that you know at least a little something about what you're talking about. To comment on others' videos when you have none of your own is pathetic. No one cares about your opinion since you have nothing to back it up with. And it makes you look like a coward who can be critical of others, but is too afraid of what others might say about him. This is just some advice for you, I hope you can learn from this experience.
I am surprised to see that there is such WC quality in the Philipines. Very fluid dummy set. Great video.
That was one of the best dummy forms I've ever seen! Great rhythm and energy, very inspiring performance! And your posture is very good in this video! Thank you!

Very good. A pity Percival did not complete his training in Yuen Kay San WC which is a practical system. Wishing my WC brothers & sisters good luck.
Thanks for the upload....your interview series is awesome!
The lineage of this wing chun is Leung Kay San. I know that guy..and his classmate in wingchun was my teacher. I want to share my little knowledge in wingchun for those interested. I'm in San Juan Manila.
Dylan Field that's a good lineage. It's not Ip man's variation by the ways. I would like to experience it myself.
Hi Dylan Field, may I know the info where in San Juan are you located? My friend and I really want to learn Wing Chun! ;)
Ahahahahaha sino gusto matuto dahil kay Ip Man

The Wing Chun was really originated somewhere in Fukien (Fujian), Southern China.
Most Chinese traders during Spanish times, came from Fukien.

I never thought there would be a Wing Chun master in Cebu!
Any WC technique, regardless of lineage, is only effective when applied with correct structure and chi.
