Closed Cell Foam Speaker Gasket Tape - Install with Caution

Used some closed cell gasket tape from PE to ensure I had a good seal on all of my subs. I had to unmount all of my subs in preparation for an upcoming move and came across a problem. The gasket tape bonded to the rubber speaker gasket that was supplied with the Stereo Integrity subs. I'm not saying that this is necessarily a good or bad thing--as the gasket tape definitely provided a great seal. It's just a real beast to deal with if you ever have to unmount your speaker.

Was I really straining in the video? Let's just say I was using my best arm wrestling technique and my foot against the box for leverage and---it was way more difficult than I thought it would be. I've had less challenging matches for sure.

If your sub has already get a gasket, for why are you applying the foam tape? I only use it with subs that don't seal well like the crappy build quality on the Hybrid Audio subs.

I've had that happen with horn lenses but never woofers.

What size subs and how many watts RMS each

few I got a few other videos that give more detail. I had 16 subs each getting about 1100 watts. Subs are rated at 600 watt RMS.

Headroom and extension. May seem excessive to most, but I can play reference pretty effortlessly down to about 6Hz. In addition, being able to set up different house curves, depending on my mood or the content being played, is extremely convenient.
