In Canada, no one is in prison for simple possession. The only drug related criminals in jail are dealers and organized crime. They don't deserve sympathy. Besides, when weed becomes legal, then all these dealers would still be guilty of tax evasion. I doubt any will declare the huge amounts of money they earned.
