ps4 is basically 7 years old pc, i say it's pretty amazing it can still run like this. it was starting at 400$ 7 years ago imaging buy your 500$ pc 7 years ago and still use it right now...probably hardly run any AA games. I still prefer PC too, but just point out the fact

@@coolwolf506 you have to learn it to acquire a friend (you have to win a match and since it’s pretty long and even in the easiest difficulty each opponent knows what he’s doing good luck winning by doing random moves) so you can acquire an optional case you have to finish in order to get the Amon fight.
When your combat strategy involves 'I'll hit electrified walls after comboing the boss, because that does way less damage than letting him combo back.'

I think Judgment and Yakuza are in the same timeline. It’s just that the characters of Yakuza and Judgment rarely interact with each other. I support this theory because according to Yagami, Kiryu definitely fakes his death. Yagami does know about the legendary Dragon of Dojima 🐉.

For anyone that wants an even easier way to deal with him (must have dlc extracts): Get him down to stage where he starts to use his shields and you have to risk getting damaged in the opposite style. When you reach this stage, activate the mystical dance extract. You will not be able to die for 90 seconds. Once you break his shields, simply switch into the same style as him (activate heat mode) and you will be able to comb to through all his attacks (yes even the critical ones) as the blasts will raise your heat
The blue and red swap to absorb the damage definitely reference to one of Sega published game the forgotten arcade masterpiece Ikaruga the spiritual sequel of Radiant Silvergun.

I love how at the end Yagami is all "oh fuck sake I'm going home" before Shin even gives his motivation, shows a nice contrast compared to Kiryu who'd be giving some words of wisdom to Shin as well as contemplate his rivalry with the Amon clan. Can't wait for Shin Yakuza to see how Ichiban handles the Amon clan, hell if it's Shin again I wonder if he'll reference Yagami.
I like the fact that Shin breaks the 4th wall "Hey! Isn't this the part where you ask about my intentions?!" like it's a routine for secret bosses in the series to explain.
I love how the case starts,closes and starts again just cus it didn't made any sence for Yagami XD...it's like Amon is too powerful to start and end the side case at his will. Plus when the FPS drop during the last section,I actually find it it's soo Amon thing to do.I mean,he is Amon of all people and we all know he would anything to cheap out a fight and expecting a fair fight from a cheap boss like him is impossible.
The music is great though out the fight but the beat drop at the beginning almost matches the moment of realization that this guy is no push-over, 4:05 for reference.

You know the song that plays during this fight pretty much describes every Amon fight, He seems easy at first glance then that music shift after the first few seconds of the fight then is when the player discovers how much damage he deals and completely rekts you in seconds.
Finally got round to picking Judgment back up and fighting Amon. Damn this was the hardest fight out of the whole series, I’m ashamed to say I had to drop the difficultly to easy and still got my ass beat at least 5 more times

The Amon Clan. What a worthy opponent. He made some incredible foes such as Kiryu, Majima, Kenshiro and now it's Yagami. Edit: And Ichiban too (Yakuza 7).
I like how Shin calls Yagami the reigning master over Kamurocho. Ichiban may be the new legend in the mainline games, but I like to think Yagami is the new protector of Kamurocho, while Ichiban's home is Ijincho.
What I did with him was that at the very start of the fight, I would use an extract that let's you grab enemies and throw them to the floor to beat them by punches to the face. I did that like 4-5 times until he got to his second phase, so I could still have my phone and my pause menu.
7:52 Yagami knows that he could no longer keep up with Amon's magical bullshit any longer so he draw the power of Kuuga/seed of Agito to even the playing field. Just be glad he didn't draw the power of Oma Zi-o

They made a fist of the North Star game that did that, even had a skin where you look and sound just like Kiryu, and you can fight Amon there too Outside of that, I’d rather keep these games based in the real world for the canon stuff
I tried first few and it indeed hard but once u understand the color mechanics, the fight is actually damn simple. Its a great fight tho enjoyed the gimmicks.
I saw some people said that Tiger Drop on opposite style can get rid of the shield but there's easier method that you can get rid of the shield by using walljump finisher move (running to the wall and press triangle) but like other strat it's really risky if you missed the attack I recommend activate Ex-Boost before you attack.
How do you get him to skip using his shield? I couldn't do more than tiny chips of damage on his final phase, but looks like he never uses it in this vid, does he have a particular HP break that lets you skip his Shield in the same way you can keep your phone if you force him to Phase 2 before he can grab you?
Considering that Shin Amon is going after Yagami and Ichiban, can I assume that maybe Jo Amon killed himself after realizing he was not the one able to defeat Kiryu?
To be fair to all the Amons, you will likely be really lost the first time. But assuming you are familiar with at least most of them, I'd say this Amon is up there among the trickiest because you need to take risks more than other Amons to beat him especially with the fight basically hinging on remaining on a certain style to survive.. Tiger dropping him in the opposite style in his lightsaber phase will result in him not having a shield later on, but the catch is that it's super risky, and a slip-up may pretty much result in an instant game over. So I'd say he's up there in terms of difficulty especially if you have trouble with timing. He's my favorite Amon for sure. The soundtrack, the "ultimate duel" atmosphere that the music and the arena both give, plus how risky most of your moves are, and the new gimmicks with the two styles being so important to the fight, they all make this fight so damn good.
@AfterBRNR Ohh and I almost forgot the phone stealing. As far as I know, not a SINGLE Amon had that power to pretty much steal not only your inventory but the goddamn start menu. If he does that, you best hope your shortcut healing items will be enough for the rest of the fight and that no one calls for you in the middle of the fight.

If I were to get Judgment, past the first electric phase, I would only attack Amon when the arena is blue, because that red arena looks like a frame-rate-drop nightmare.
I'm pretty sure this dude nearly melted my PS4. Like even in the video you can see it lagging, I think this fight might've been nearing the point where the PS4 couldn't handle it.
Knowing what I know now that I didn't then, this Amon seems fairly tame. I'm also assuming this guy was arrested and then Kiryu had him released to train Ichiban
@@_TravisTouchdown tiger dropping amon can prove fatal. I'll take Kiwami as an example here. When going for the drop, he'll dash across and do stupid damage. Add to that one more when you're downed. That in itself is frustrating. When he's running across the yard to attack is the best time for you to attack as well, but the stars have to align for this
@@_TravisTouchdown the technique aside, the damage remains the same unless you added a dragon buff and a calming buff. I defeated him without those and it took me 8 tries. A little variance helps

You know the song that plays during this fight pretty much describes every Amon fight, He seems easy at first glance then that music shift after the first few seconds of the fight then is when the player discovers how much damage he deals and completely rekts you in seconds.
Finally got round to picking Judgment back up and fighting Amon. Damn this was the hardest fight out of the whole series, I’m ashamed to say I had to drop the difficultly to easy and still got my ass beat at least 5 more times
The question will be "Can Shin Amon get Takuya Kimura to star in another Judgement game?"

The Amon Clan. What a worthy opponent. He made some incredible foes such as Kiryu, Majima, Kenshiro and now it's Yagami.
Edit: And Ichiban too (Yakuza 7).
He even tries to kill you in real life by blowing up your PC
I like how Shin calls Yagami the reigning master over Kamurocho. Ichiban may be the new legend in the mainline games, but I like to think Yagami is the new protector of Kamurocho, while Ichiban's home is Ijincho.
What I did with him was that at the very start of the fight, I would use an extract that let's you grab enemies and throw them to the floor to beat them by punches to the face. I did that like 4-5 times until he got to his second phase, so I could still have my phone and my pause menu.

I tried first few and it indeed hard but once u understand the color mechanics, the fight is actually damn simple. Its a great fight tho enjoyed the gimmicks.

We all thought Tiger Drop was the most powerful technique. Turns out it's actually the second most powerful behind Frame Drop.
I saw some people said that Tiger Drop on opposite style can get rid of the shield but there's easier method that you can get rid of the shield by using walljump finisher move (running to the wall and press triangle) but like other strat it's really risky if you missed the attack I recommend activate Ex-Boost before you attack.
Does it have to be on the opposite style as well?

How do you get him to skip using his shield? I couldn't do more than tiny chips of damage on his final phase, but looks like he never uses it in this vid, does he have a particular HP break that lets you skip his Shield in the same way you can keep your phone if you force him to Phase 2 before he can grab you?

Considering that Shin Amon is going after Yagami and Ichiban, can I assume that maybe Jo Amon killed himself after realizing he was not the one able to defeat Kiryu?
Saw you struggling during the livestream. Where would you rank this Amon compared to all the others in terms of difficulty?
To be fair to all the Amons, you will likely be really lost the first time. But assuming you are familiar with at least most of them, I'd say this Amon is up there among the trickiest because you need to take risks more than other Amons to beat him especially with the fight basically hinging on remaining on a certain style to survive.. Tiger dropping him in the opposite style in his lightsaber phase will result in him not having a shield later on, but the catch is that it's super risky, and a slip-up may pretty much result in an instant game over. So I'd say he's up there in terms of difficulty especially if you have trouble with timing. He's my favorite Amon for sure. The soundtrack, the "ultimate duel" atmosphere that the music and the arena both give, plus how risky most of your moves are, and the new gimmicks with the two styles being so important to the fight, they all make this fight so damn good.
Also frame drops help make the fight harder!
@AfterBRNR Ohh and I almost forgot the phone stealing. As far as I know, not a SINGLE Amon had that power to pretty much steal not only your inventory but the goddamn start menu. If he does that, you best hope your shortcut healing items will be enough for the rest of the fight and that no one calls for you in the middle of the fight.

If I were to get Judgment, past the first electric phase, I would only attack Amon when the arena is blue, because that red arena looks like a frame-rate-drop nightmare.

I'm pretty sure this dude nearly melted my PS4. Like even in the video you can see it lagging, I think this fight might've been nearing the point where the PS4 couldn't handle it.

@@_TravisTouchdown tiger dropping amon can prove fatal. I'll take Kiwami as an example here. When going for the drop, he'll dash across and do stupid damage. Add to that one more when you're downed. That in itself is frustrating. When he's running across the yard to attack is the best time for you to attack as well, but the stars have to align for this

@@_TravisTouchdown the technique aside, the damage remains the same unless you added a dragon buff and a calming buff. I defeated him without those and it took me 8 tries. A little variance helps
