That's right, the same Amon from Yakuza is here to hunt down and assassinate Kenshiro. I haven't done this in the Japanese version so it was all new to me with the English release. Thankfully winning the race part is not mandatory, and the only difference it makes is that whoever loses takes a bit of damage in the final fight. In all my attempts at this, I never won the race, which makes me even more glad that it's not a must since by this point I already grinded in this damn game more than I'd like. That aside, this fight is not easy and getting Attack break limits will help a lot. I love the trophy name and how Amon goes "Nagoshi!" out of nowhere after you defeat him. I can't believe Nagoshi killed Amon...

Truly the Amon art of assassination has very deadly techniques, such as making the PS4 controller have low batteries in a fight.
there's a secret counter to this technique in the Hokuto Shinken however, using a wired controller.

The actual reason (for those who genuinely don't know) is that Amon bossfights are typically made with repurposed assets, hence why Amon is always "stealing" other people's moves.
In this case, they repurposed Devil Rebirth assets (as "giant" isn't really a technique DR uses) (that I know of) hence why he even gets weak in the knees like DR did.
Forget Majima everywhere, Amon is truly *EVERYWHERE*

@@niko67780 I wanted to say Kenshiro, but I thought that wouldn't make sense in the context of "punching up", and since I don't actually know fist of the north star I decided playing it safe and going for something powerful everyone knows.
Love that Jo screams out “NAGOSHI!” at 7:34. As if his last act in this world is to curse his own creator for killing him off, denying him the right to keep fighting on and take revenge on Majima, Kiryu, and now Kenshiro.

Thats actually common throughout this game. At first I thought it was because of me fast forwarding the text boxes too much but that wasn't the case here.
That's the fastest way to end conversations. Just say what they were gonna say anyway, then walk away.
Damn, not even I was expecting this. Jo Amon, who had been Kiryu's One True Rival all the way from the very first game, is now... dead. It's almost poetic in a way; Jo unable to move on from his obsession with Kiryu, travels entire dimensions just to find him again (in the form of Kenshiro), only to finally for this to be his final battle.
None the less, this was a perfect final battle (aside from the lack of a new song), incorporating everything from multiple martial art styles, getting big as hell, racing, and even getting Bob the Clown bandits in involved.
Now, may you have a good rest, our Favorite Sunglasses wearing Superboss and may your Successors take the Amon Clan to new heights of greatness and insanity in Shin Yakuza.

I love how the Amon fights are always the point this dev team says fuck it and just throws logic, performance and fairness right the hell out of the window. Makes for some great cap-offs for these ultimately somewhat sincere games.

Either make you powerful as fuck, make you immortal by resetting your day if you die, gaining a weapon to make you OP as fuck, or maybe get you a useless goddess, anything's possible. I like to think Nagoshi just reached down and plucked Amon right out of that world and threw him into the next Yakuza game in development.
It is amazing to see a character from Yakuza getting beaten so hard by Kenshiro.

Don’t you hate that shit?!?! It’s always at the worst time. Especially considering that most games don’t even have the courtesy of pausing the game when your controller dies like in the old days. This happened to me when I was playing Bloodborne(.......................Bloodborne) and I had to watch as Eileen was viscerally torn apart by Henryk.

Something interesting about this scene (that definitely isn't just me reading too much into it) is that Amon's glasses are infront of Kenshiro even though Amon died behind him. I'm just saying, don't be surprised if Joryu ends fighting Amon in that Gaiden game, and if amon learned a few new tricks.

Car was made faster after being pressed on the special power points on the pedal, but it was barely enough.
Damn!!! This AMON is the hardest Villain I had played to defeat with. EVEN if I use PS4 Save WIzard Cheats and TRAINER G*D mode, Still beat me to the CRAP and killed Kenshiro. Other Bosses never last for 2 Minutes with my Overpowered Limit Breaker Kenshiro , not even RAOH. But this guy show you the hardest part of INSTANT KILLed if he stomp you while in the Ground.
Phase 2 transition was so epic and the fight itself was awesome. Beast kick and talismans carried hard here.
