There is probably alfalfa and corn fields with standing crops still around your swamp maybe other types of agriculture fields they may be in the marsh swamp after dark or just after sunset they seem to be trying to scent check those areas before they commit to coming fully in to bed in the swamp
real Country bois doing some real hunting - no tv reality crap Like how you guys show Dan's hunt, Jeffs audio and Mario's hunt - great touch. Keep em coming so our team keeps learning the Dan Way.
I don't think he's a bad shot...have you seen his trophy wall??? He has to much passion for hunting and respect for the animal to not focus on practicing and waiting for ethical shots.... I think the confusion comes from the fact that he shows missed shots or "bad" hits....which I applaud his honesty for doing this, because as we know ALL great hunters and archerers make bad shots....easy or not. Unfortunately that's part of the game, all you can do is work harder to become better.
Their answers may differ from mine, but take it for what you will... I don't think Dan uses scent or lure at any time of the season under any circumstances. As far as calling, it's never too early, but the keys to calling any pressured deer is usually timing and moderation. In this case, more specifically, that buck caught Mario's wind and left. That said, I'd say calling at that point would have only educated him further and likely not done much to turn him around. Let the deer have that hunt and hunt him again another day. Don't blow him out of there altogether with calling. Had he not winded him, that's a whole different ballgame.
I’m a new subscriber, really really love this guys!!!! I had a setup today that I had confidence in but was like this is stupid at the same time . Did a bump and dump, on some does, at 11:40 I was about to hop off my climber and two does and 3 fawns come running by! Do you hunt buck beds in the morning? Please give me input on this! I have real good spot I found last rifle season. Hunted it 3 times, 😬, went in feb after season and picked a real good setup. Is it a wise idea to try and slip in real real early set up and hunt it all day till well after dark and slip out? Thanks gents!!!!
Love the videos Dan, thanks for sharing! I was wondering on future videos if you'd be able to show what your stand locations look like on an aerial rather than drawn out? If it will compromise your spots then don't bother...I can just wait until I get your DVDs in the mail lol. Thanks again and good luck this season!!
Very TRUE! I live in SE Wisconsin and am a close follower of the Big Buck Serial Killer and his Hunting Beast forum! I have learned so much from his videos and forum, I actually prefer hunting SE WI public land than my private land up north! Please keep the videos coming!!

Awesome video! Two Qs : Do you guys use scent lure at any time? Is it too early in the season to grunt/call that large buck?

What does Dan have on the end of that camera arm for a bow hanger?
I see you got to see that squirrel planting a tree most people don't believe they do that on purpose but they do.
Dang so close. This weekend we get to hunt in PA.
That was a dandy buck!!! I'm sure one of you guys will get him.
Whenever Mario picks a tree, he should stop 15 yards short of that tree and setup! He would be in the money overtime.
Dan, do you sit early morning hunts this time of the season?
Usually just evenings till about mid October.
Sunday opener here in SW Ontario
wow that was a great looking deer =) hope you guys connect!
Thanks for the true reality hunting
Damn that was a nice buck at the end of the video!!!
These squirrels are good eating.
How do I become apart of the beast malita .
Did you ever harvest that buck?
That's a beauty
What video camera do you use?
Nice buck there. I have no doubt that you will be able to harvest that deer.
Not gonna lie. Kinda bummed Mario shoots a crossbow
