- Collecting apples was a blast.
This game was made by corspepile for the dread X collection 3. A collection of short games that is absolutely brilliant.
The overworld story is kind of ass (I'd recommend free play) and NICE SCREAMS AT FUNFAIR is a bit rough but other than that it's really great. Strongly recommend the pack.
Also thank you very much to @SuperSimpin for help with editing this video.

I'm digging this new surreal "Comedy Horror" that these games have been doing like squirrel stapler. Genuinely unsettling imagery and genuinely funny gags make for a unique experience.
Seriously enjoy them as well. When it's done right it is extremely effective and makes for fantastic "content".

i loved the idea of completing a task by jumping between game assets and mechanics too.

@@nogiogo3106 It's mostly pretty tame. A mild jump scare here and there. It mostly uses creepy or unsettling images for the horror.
But yeah, if you're susceptible to that kind of stuff, best to hold off until morning. Even Jolly got uncomfortable at one point.

i swear everytime jolly uploads a happy looking game, i immediately expect the most horrfic thing. After that squirrel game, i won't be fool anymore.
If you want more of that experience, I recommend basically any video by ManlyBadassHero. He always plays "cute" games... They never stay that way though

@@unknowndane4754 Dread X is a game-making competition. Devs (mostly established indie guys) are given 10 days to make a horror game. They're naturally low budget and made quickly (although often quite well) and a lot of them have a sort of off-kilter, semi-comedic tone that's quite recognizable to me.

I aleardy can tell, this game looks sweet, but its going to be sinister and dark.

This made me realize how much I enjoy seeing someone who is authentically scared of a horror game. It's always either the player is heavily desensitized to horror so they are very comedic and calm throughout the experience or they are loud and obnoxious to pretend to be scared for views. Just seeing a guy who is very obviously creeped out from the game is refreshing and actually entertaining. It would be nice to see him play more indie horror like this.

Ok. I was watching this just now. It is around midnight, have been watching ghost hunting shows all day. Little spooked, but fine. And then this shit. At 17:55, when the bloody sheet ghost is on the screen, my computer locked. Audio continued, but the image stayed on the ghost. Then, computer blue screened, and I shit my pants. Not that scary, but the situation has gotten to me. Thank you Jolly, and goddamn it, lol.
