It’s always great to hear Glenn Hughes performing new material. I have the other BCC albums. I appreciate that the band members individual commitments often means that BCC aren’t able to tour in a meaningful way. I wish the band would record a ‘live’ in concert DVD/one-off television appearance. I have their ‘Live In Europe’ DVD/CD. Not having heard this album in its entirety, I usually go with the ‘ I prefer Glenn solo..’ having said that I’m heartened to hear that some Funk/Hughes-Thrall elements are present on this release. That’s a ‘gotta buy’ for me!

Yeah it seems to have been a really low key release, BCCIV made it to 7 in the album charts here in the UK, while V looks to have barely crawled into the top 75 at 58. But I am still enjoying it even if the rest of the world seems unaware of its existence. They have said they have all blocked out some time in the summer of 2025 for some live gigs, which is maybe a bit too late to bolster sales of V in the short term.

Enjoyed the discussion, guys. I haven't heard the whole album yet but have enjoyed what I've heard so far and this makes me want to hear the rest soon (I got a CD but am on a trip with no equipment for the moment).
