Had my ICCU recall done yesterday too. Hopefully this has now solved everything. However, I took my car to a new Kia dealership and they said that there’s also lots of customers ending up with faulty charging cables too.
That's good news. Not heard the one about faulty charging cables though. Some VCMS units have had to be replaced though (Vehicle Charging Management System)
Ours is in to have the ICCU update/fix done on Thursday of this week. I'm hoping it'll also fix an issue where our car will only charge on DC. If we charge on any AC charger, it trips out.
That AC charging problem is usually the VCMS (Vehicle Charging Management System) Module but can also be related to the ICCU. Car Scanner will probably give up some DTC’s which will give a clue as to what’s failed. Mine was in less than 2 hours for the ICCU update this morning. I’m just doing a few tests and an AC charging test. All seems to be good so far.
Thanks Brian. The VCMS sounds most likely, but hopefully a replacement part won't take long to order. This is our first fault in 2 1/2 years of ownership, so that's not too bad. I'm glad your ICCU update was done so efficiently.
Thanks Brian, searched website and saw my recall , now booked in for tomorrow! Dealer didn’t seem to know a lot about it!
Wow that's quick!
Had ICCU done today, was also told there was an IPedal recall due also, so they did this update also

Had the recall done yesterday (No fault code found). The ECU software number now is ECV1E3-IES13R000. Not noticed anything different as yet.
