I am giddy with excitement. My little jump happy Yorkie "Shadow" will soon figure out that the sofa is off limits even when I'm not around. With an evil laugh I pressed the "Complete Purchase" button and I await the arrival of my new scat mat :D
This is exactly what I need to train my dog not to jump on the kitchen table. Your video just shows that I better make sure there's nothing breakable up there lol!
That's an easy one because dogs give humanbeings unconditional love even if you yell at them or you're having a rough day you can come home and count on a dog to show you affection and that beats have a perfect clean home any day.
My cat kept us up all night headbutting our door and howling. We got a scat mat and he won't even go near our door and we have actually gotten sleep. I don't even turn it on anymore he just stays away
I've been using these for a few years and stopped. Had to bring it out again when my 9yr old dog started having separation anxiety issues. I use it in front of the gate so that she can't get at the gate and chew it to pieces or tear it down. Well, she actually chewed through the wires in the mat and now it doesn't work anymore! Guess the zap wasn't enough of a deterrant to her!
I tried it with my hand...the shock is light (i.e. not dangerous) but it does "surprise" you. Didn't try sleeping on it tho :) Bayou has never set foot on any of the tables since.

Dogs can be trained, cats don't.
It is for stubborn dogs as well.
On the contrary, cats can be trained just as well as dogs. It's just harder as they aren't as obedient.
