Nice list but surprised that some of my favs aren’t on here. Specifically: For glory Slay the spire Baseball highlights 2045 Aeon’s end Paperback adventures
I've never played For Glory, Slay the spire, or paperback adventures. (I do enjoy paperback and hardback and own both of them in their digital format, I also have the apps for both Aeon's end and baseball 2045, I'm ok with just owning the digital version of these. There's so many good games out there that boiling them down to 10 can be a tough thing. and of course tastes change as time goes by as well.
@@markwilliamson3043 pretty sure I never asked him "why" he didn't put those on his list. I just noted my surprise that some of my favorites weren't on there given that it seems we have similar tastes. He's obviously welcome to his own opinion and I wasn't suggesting he change it, but sometimes it could also be that he just hasn't heard of some of the ones I mentioned and would appreciate checking out new ones he hasn't played yet that he may like too (which in fact appears to be exactly the case here as he said he hasn't played 3 of the ones I mentioned).
@@sologamingspotlight I would highly recommend them. It seems like we have similar tastes to I think you'd like them. Deck building is probably my favorite mechanism so it's great to check out lists for other people who also really enjoy it. There are certainly a lot out there and a few in your video that I'll have to look into 🙂
@coreys6421 I think you took that the wrong way, mate. it was a bit of sarcasm. I just pointed out that it's his, and you said none of your favourites were on there. Was a play on words, that's all. Now, from your list, Aeons end is my favourite deck builder of all time, and I highly suggest the channel owner plays it post haste!
First of all i like that you are doing it in a fast pace, so we can get a lil taste of the game you are showing and don’t have to skip anything if not really interested in one of them. Second: I am really surprised you haven’t mentioned one Deckbuilding Gamy by FFG, for me the number one is definitely LotR LCG. Such an intense deckbuilder where you really have to think what to build in your deck before starting your "Journey" and the theme is obviously one of the greatest books ever written haha. Thanks for your video, I just met some new games there.
I love LOTR LCG but I really consider it a deck construction type game where during gameplay you’re not adding to your deck or building it during gameplay, all that is done prior to play not during the game itself. I should have defined what I consider a deck builder but dropped the ball on that. Thanks for watching
Sorry, it's the format I went with to try and keep each game under 1:30. As I start doing reviews of the game is where I'll focus in on the pros and cons of the games. Thanks for the feedback.
Very nice list! Do you think it’s worth to get rid of clank! for catacombs because of the solo mode. I just downloaded the app and realized that there is a solo mode via app for the original clank! aswell.
I still have original Clank!, Sunken treasures, the mummy's curse, and catacombs as well as acquisitions incorporated 2 (I gave the original one to my brother), I also play multiplayer so I've kept them all but you could replace the original with catacombs. It offers more variability when it comes to gameplay.
Thanks for the list. GI Joe, Alien (rather than Marvel) Legendary, and ATV are on mine. I also have the Star Wars DB. How do you play that solo? I'm only aware of 2-player head-to-head.
I've never played the Alien Legendary version. I put the link for Robert from Azure Death's Leaders solo variant play through in the description. It's quite good.
some games are better multihanded. For a long time I would only play LOTR LCG solo but then I gave two handed a try and wow does it make it so much better in my opinion. 3 handed would be difficult with limited table space.
@sologamingspotlight I believe Mistborn actually just got back in stock today on a few websites if you want to by a copy at MSRP before they sell out again.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I get where you're coming from-it's can definitely be tough, especially if the dice rolls or card draws don’t go your way. A lot of my enjoyment comes from the nostalgia factor; growing up with the franchise definitely affects my opinion as I'm partial to the theming of the game.
@ No problem! Unique twist-you explore dungeons, fighting various baddies, who when defeated become cards you use in the future (hence the deck building element). It is great fun!
I've only played the digital version of Aeon's end which doesn't get much play. No doubt the physical cards in hand are a different experience but the digital version hasn't enticed me enough to make the purchase.
The legacy edition is a great intro to the franchise. It’s actually very exciting especially when you get down to the wire and have to think carefully what to do. The digital version seems to feel very lacking to me and I dislike playing it. The opposite is true of Dune Imperium where the digital version is so awesome I hardly play the physical.
@@sologamingspotlight don't buy the computer version but the iPad version or Android tablet if you have that, or if your phone has a large enough screen. It's way more enjoyable as a mobile game using touch you can quickly play anywhere instead of having to sit in front of a computer and use a mouse.
I picked up Dune Imperium on Android when it was on sale a few weeks back. It was perfect for my air travel over the holidays. It also encouraged me to rewatch the two recent Dune movies, which I liked even more the second time. I also ordered the first Dune novels trilogy; had never read those. They arrive Wednesday. I almost bought DI Uprising, but will hold off a bit. The app is satisfying me.
How is aventuria compared to mage knight? I’ve always wanted to try it but I could never convince myself to buy a starter. I don’t even know which one to get as a good entry point
They're not on the same level at all in my opinion when it comes to the feel of the game. Aventuria is dice driven, you have fun card play in it to get cards out in your play area but a lot of Aventuria is rolling dice which is nostalgic D&D for me. I enjoy the cardplay aspect in it don't get me wrong but it's nowhere near the crunchiness that comes with mageknight. It's a game I enjoy though. You have to get the core set. You should check this out though. They're launching a campaign on Gamefound if you're interested. gamefound.com/en/projects/ulisses-spiele/aventuria
we love so many of the same games. great list.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Awesome list! Definitely would be interested in some more videos of thunderstone quest!
Mike from the One stop coop shop has a good playthrough if you're itching to check it out.

Great list of games!
Thanks! Glad you like them.
Great ranked list!! I😊you got me intrigued about #2.

The reasoning is in the video title. It's his list of favourite deck builders, not yours. 😅

The Dire Wolf Game Room app lets you solo the original. Catacombs changes up the play a bit, but the original and expansions are still great!
Fine! Fine! I’ll learn Undaunted this weekend.

I will note that I prefer to play GI Joe and Alien 3-handed solo. Maybe that doesn't make it solo. 😂

Surprised Slay the Spire and the Mistborn games aren't here. Those are pretty fun too if you haven't tried them yet.
i've only played the digital version of slay the spire and Mistborn is too high priced on ebay for me to pickup but I definitely want to check it out.
@sologamingspotlight I believe Mistborn actually just got back in stock today on a few websites if you want to by a copy at MSRP before they sell out again.
Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered it.
Absolutely hated GI Joe DBG. Difficulty was way too high and unbalanced.
