I’m a highly sensitive individual since childhood. I was always criticised for it, being to soft & sensitive. I used to be so creative & I lost it. I wandered why but now I know. My environment, upbringing etc made me lose it. It’s not lost forever I’m trying to find it in me. I’m extremely sensitive to people’s emotions, energies & places to the point it can drain me. Sometimes these feelings I wish weren’t there but I’d not want to lose them. I was always addicted to things. I’m healing & finding myself again thanks to listening to Gabor & his books. This video really speaks to me. Xx

I understand and I stand for you. This sensitivity becomes a super power, in the literal sense, once accepted. It can be done by loving and integrating this aspect of us.
To do that, we release the criticism of others, about our sensitivity, that we accepted as truth.
Whatever you are doing, you are doing good. So don't worry :)

This is classic. I actually don't thing the genetic component is of any importance. It's always folks that were raised not very supported in some chaotic environments. When a hsp knows how to self validate and work internally they can become super empowered by that trait. It literally helped me heal my body from a long disease. I wish on anyone to experience this flip side of sensitivity that's why i speak about all my lessons in my videos. ✌️💜

Sensitivity is being treated like some stigma because people don't know how to use it. But SENSITIVITY IS THE BEST TRAIT ever. Its a sign of a deep connection with Self. When used with awareness makes a person super powerful. I've become much more aware of it and I can validate myself and use the guidance of sensitivity as a clear navigation system. It literally feels like being invincible.
I also made a video on my channel where I speak about thosr stages to feeling that empowerd.✌️
    Bless you all folks!

Thank you Gabor. It has been a rough road. Finding your way in a society that has no understanding of what or why we are different from everybody else. For so many years not feeling right, not feeling accepted, feeling different like I didn't belong, feeling like my feelings created a problem in the lives of people that I tried to be close with. I am 50 and now just coming to terms with trying to figure out who I am as a person. Spending years being a chameleon trying to fit in or not tip the boat. I can't say it has not made me feel like I'm insane at times are constantly saying what is wrong with me. Maybe if someone new anything about it when I was growing up it would have been different. I would have been told it was okay to be who I was and that I was not crazy. The fact that human beings are not taught that every one of us is different in some way shape or form in society is a huge problem. Whether or not as a whole everyone can become enlightened is answer I don't have. Nor do I have the energy to try and help everybody understand anymore. My nervous system is so worn down that I do the best I can by just taking care of myself.

Then things got much worse lol so i've turned it back on again because sensitivity is really useful for staying on a good path. Some people will hate you for your sensitivity, and will even try to make your life hell, but never let those people get under your skin (which is difficult at times, especially when you're young). It took a long time for me to realize this was my truth. Once I got off a particular medication, everything eventually flooded back inward. I'm more sensitive to the environment and other living plants and animals than I ever was with other human beings. The stress, past trauma, and addiction shaped me more than I'm happy to admit at my age. It's only a year ago I finally came to terms with everything and finally began getting help. To this day, everything I do and am is a challenge. I'm exhausted and drained, and it'll all probably shorten my overall lifespan, but I refuse to roll over and die.

@@Yoshoggutha I'm happy for you! I lived most of my life not knowing I was an HSP. It wasn't until having an HSP child that I read the book "The Highly Sensitive Child", and I was like "Oh my God, I'm an HSP!" Then I read "The Highly Sensitive Adult" and it changed my life because it made me feel seen, understood, cared for, and validated. You are not alone. Most creative, spiritually in tuned humans are HSP's. In days of old, we were the Shamans, the wise intuitives. It is only in our modern culture that the inner world has been deemed less important than the material world. I also recommend Martha Beck's work. She has 2 podcasts and many books and articles. She often talks about the gift of sensitivity and how to care for ourselves. Take good care of you! p.s. I don't think you're 'hypersensitive' at all- It is the world that is insensitive and dead to the beauty of the soul. Your sensitivity is a power, truly it is!

Ok, I ask this as someone who has suffered quite a few adverse childhood experiences and scores highly on HSP tests... what if high sensitivity is a myth? What if those deemed highly sensitive by themselves or others are actually those who are holding on more tightly to negative beliefs? It's our stubborn refusal to let them go and using a sense of victimhood to excuse ourselves from doing so...at the end of the day even what feels uncomfortable and painful can become so intrinsic to our identity and how we see ourselves that it can be very hard to let go... what we believe shapes our reality. Just offering this up as an inquiry, don't mean any offence.

I was wondering something similar to what you described above. Partly because, it seems impossible to me that not all people can access the full spectrum of emotion. Maybe many are not able to let those emotions come through, but I'm sure they are inside of them. Though, the key word in this interview is, I would say, absorb. So, my train of thought is directed toward a question - what makes us so prone to absorbing those negative emotions which makes us or, at least, makes us seem as if we don't want to let go. I'm just using this opportunity to wonder about it out loud.

Why is i, that when SOME people are ultra-sensitive, they are praised for being ultra confident and high status. For example, watch any interview with Beyonce, 50 cent, Nipsey Hussle, etc... If they interviewer says anything MIDLY teasing, joking, or asks any personal question that they find offensive... how do they react? They IMMEDIATELY get upset, express their hurt, scold the interviewer, and if the interviewer continues, they get up and leave.
And they are all worshiped for being so strong touch confident and assertive.
But when we feel equally offended at disrespect, teasing, or insults, then we are labelled as being soft and weak.
    Why?
